The Master and His Wealthy Fiancée

Chen Dong entered the hospital room and saw two strange men. One was a burly man with a full beard and piercing eyes; the other was the young man named Luo Hua.

He was about five-foot-three, a good half-head shorter than Qin Yun. In his twenties, he was, to put it gently, unfortunate-looking. With a bulbous red nose, gapped teeth, and mismatched eyes, each of his features seemed to have a mind of its own.

”Yun’Er, in this chaotic city, not even the wind is free, let alone you and I. It is the choice of love that brought us together. Just accept me!” Luo Hua declared, closing in on Qin Yun with arrogant swagger as he spoke his sweet nothings.

Qin Yun shoved Luo Hua away in disgust. ”I’m begging you, just leave me alone!”

With that, she walked over to Chen Dong, took his hand, and started heading for the door. They had already agreed to go to the auction house.

But Chen Dong frowned slightly. ’Why is she holding my hand? Does she want to use me as a shield?’

Sure enough, Luo Hua flew into a rage and strode forward to block their path.

He pointed at Chen Dong, his face contorted with jealousy. ”Yun’Er, who is this punk?”

Qin Yun’s expression turned cold. ”What’s it to you? Get out of the way!”

Luo Hua didn’t budge, staring daggers at Chen Dong. ”So, you must be Yun’Er’s boyfriend. I’ve never seen her so intimate with another man.”

Chen Dong pulled his hand free from Qin Yun’s grasp and said calmly, ”You must be mistaken.”

Luo Hua wasn’t about to listen. He raised a hand. ”You don’t need to explain!”

The bearded man stepped forward and bowed beside Luo Hua. ”Young Master, should I teach this kid a lesson?”

Who would have thought Luo Hua would leap up and slap the burly man on the head with a loud SMACK.

”How can the path of love not have its twists and turns? Do I need you to teach me what to do?!”

Chen Dong’s eyebrow twitched. ’This burly man is a Grandmaster, yet he has absolutely no dignity in front of Luo Hua.’

The burly man clutched his head, a look of pure grievance on his face. ”Young Master, you have way too many twists and turns! If you’d listened to me, we’d just knock this broad out and toss her onto your bed. How much more direct can you get?!”

Luo Hua looked at the man with contempt. ”What the hell do you know? Love is willingly being bound by someone. It’s not about force or deprivation.”

The burly man nodded repeatedly in agreement.

A flash of appreciation flickered in Chen Dong’s eyes. ’Maybe this Luo Hua isn’t so bad after all.’

But Luo Hua’s next words utterly shattered Chen Dong’s worldview.

”Brother, since you and Yun’Er are already in love, but my love for her is eternal and I can never give up... how about the two of us be husbands to one wife?” Luo Hua said with a completely sincere expression.

Chen Dong was stunned. ’What kind of twisted logic is that? You could call him magnanimous, but it’s more accurate to call him a psychopath.’

’No wonder Qin Yun avoids him like the plague and even schemed to use me as a shield. Luo Hua might have everything going for him except his looks, but his mind is completely twisted.’

Luo Hua seemed oblivious to the people around him, looking as if he were moved by his own profound words.

”To love someone is to be accepting! I have plenty of money, I’ll support both of you! From now on, you can have Yun’Er on even-numbered days, and I’ll take her on odd-numbered days!”

Hearing this, Chen Dong couldn’t help but look at him with disgust. ’This goes beyond being love-struck or a simp. He’s a full-blown psycho.’

He decided to stay far away from this guy. ’What if this brand of crazy is contagious?’

He walked right around Luo Hua and strode away.

Qin Yun quickly followed.

Luo Hua scrambled after them. ”Yun’Er, wait for me!”

Unexpectedly, a group of doctors hurried by, completely blocking his path and preventing him from catching up.

Full of despair, he reached out a hand. ”Oh~! My love is like a kite with a broken string! Yun’Er, please, just look back at me!”

The burly man asked from the side, ”Young Master, are we still going after them?”

”Of course we’re going! Why wouldn’t we? My love can withstand any trial!” Luo Hua said resolutely. Then he gave another order: ”In a bit, arrange for Dr. George to come see Uncle Qin.”

The burly man asked in confusion, ”Didn’t you say you were going to use this to threaten Qin Yun into marrying you?”

Luo Hua snorted. ”What the hell do you know? To love someone is to give silently. One day, I will definitely move Yun’Er’s heart.”

The burly man was speechless. There was nothing he could do about his young master’s philosophy on love.

Ever since Luo Hua first saw Qin Yun in a movie, he had become hopelessly infatuated.

Upon learning that Qin Yun was a star at Eastern Entertainment, he began a frenzied pursuit.

But his methods of pursuit were anything but ordinary. Staging scenarios like a hero saving the damsel in distress or framing her only to swoop in with the truth—these were his specialties.

He would hire a group of experts to surround Qin Yun, only for him to make a flashy entrance and ”rescue” her. He would have people frame Qin Yun, only for him to produce the evidence that exonerated her at the critical moment.

But Qin Yun was no fool. Such a trick might work once, but the problem was that Luo Hua used it constantly, giving her an endless headache. The fact that her latest movie was stuck in review was clearly another one of his schemes.

However, Luo Hua’s pathological obsession with Qin Yun also served as a form of protection. Otherwise, in the entertainment industry, she would have been chewed up and spat out long ago.

But this time, with Qin Baining’s sudden illness and hospitalization, Qin Yun’s hatred for Luo Hua reached a new peak. She suspected this incident might also be one of his schemes; otherwise, how could he have a doctor lined up so perfectly?

Meanwhile, Qin Yun and Chen Dong arrived at the auction house after a half-hour drive.

Under a giant banner that read: ”The 11th Annual Wanluo Treasury Auction”.

A manager with a foxy face blocked Chen Dong and Qin Yun at the entrance to the auction hall.

The manager narrowed his eyes, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he addressed Qin Yun. ”Celestial Empress Qin, can the Qin Family even scrounge up any money? What are you doing at our auction? Besides, it’s not that I don’t want to give you face, but this year’s auction is by invitation only. The Qin Family has no invitation and no money. Why even bother showing up?”
