Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 4993: TemptingEditor: Henyee Translations

As for what Mr. Fu meant, the guard said that he really didn’t understand. He only understood that the chief was very concerned about the commander’s health and specially instructed him to take good care of the commander. Mr. Fu wanted the commander to remember to take his medicine on time. If he didn’t, his cold wouldn’t get better. It might even get worse.

Commander Xia felt that his future in-law didn’t trust him yet, which was why he didn’t take his words seriously.

Forget it. At that time, he would naturally know that he was not joking.

How could Mr. Fu take it seriously?

There was no way!

A man from the Xia family marrying into the Fu family? He didn’t dare to think about this. Old Master Xia may not wield a gun anymore, but he could get the kitchen knife to chop Commander Xia up!

Commander Xia thought that he could find some comfort in front of Mr. Fu. Unexpectedly, even Mr. Fu didn’t believe him. Commander Xia, who couldn’t gain his in-law’s understanding, met Major General Yang early in the morning. Before everything started, Commander Xia whispered to his old subordinate, ”Do you believe me when I say that I’ll marry Little Six into his bride’s family?”

Major General Yang’s first reaction was to look at the guard who was following closely beside the commander. ”Did the commander take his medicine on time? How was the commander’s health last night?”

Yesterday afternoon, Commander Xia was still having a high fever. The military doctor instructed him to take his medicine on time. If his fever didn’t subside, he had to get an IV drip.

The guard, who had a medicine box with him, replied, ”He took his medicine according to the military doctor’s instructions.”

They all thought that the commander was still having a fever and needed to take medicine.

Commander Xia frowned and reprimanded, ”What nonsense are you talking about? Am I sick because of what I said?”

He really did seem sick after saying those things.

Major General Yang smiled. ”This place is different from the capital city. It’s hard to recover in time once you fall sick. I’m just worried that it’ll take longer for you to recover.”

Major General Yang pretended that he didn’t hear anything about marrying Little Six into his bride’s family.

Commander Xia snorted heavily. ”I really do have that thought. Don’t think that I’m just saying it casually because I’m sick. If he finds out, he’ll definitely be overjoyed to marry into Little Ye’s family. He’ll probably want to wrap himself and deliver himself to them immediately.”

Actually, that was Xia Jinyuan’s style.

A father knew his son best. Commander Xia knew what Xia Jinyuan would do.

Major General Yang was still worried about the father and son in the past. He was afraid that there would be a conflict between the father and son. Ever since the last conversation, however, Major General Yang knew that he had been worrying for nothing in the past. Hence, he could answer the commander calmly now, ”You can try. The possibility is more than 90%. The other 10% is because of the old madam and old master’s interference.”

Old Madam and Old Master Xia... Thinking about them, Commander Xia gave up on the idea.

Even if he and Little Six agreed, the old madam and old master wouldn’t. In the end, the old madam and old master would even reprimand and beat them up.

Commander Xia temporarily put this thought aside and planned to find an opportunity to mention it in the future.

Xia Jinyuan woke up early in the morning for training. When he found out later, he was tempted. However, if he mentioned it himself, he would inevitably be beaten up by the old madam and old master. Hence, he asked Commander Xia to mention it.

Commander Xia sneered. If he dared to mention it, Xia Jinyuan wouldn’t have needed to make this request of him in the first place.

Hence, the father and son, who had ulterior motives but didn’t have the guts to act on them, gave up. They didn’t dare to mention the matter of Xia Jinyuan marrying into Ye Jan’s family anymore. They had no choice.
