Death… And Me

Chapter 4039: Time is on their side, kinda...

’How I hate this shit...’ Roan couldn’t help but comment.

’Havira?’ Rean asked back. Why would he hate her?

’Not that, idiot!’ Roan corrected himself. ’Thousands of Universes, definitely over octillions of cultivators of all levels, maybe nonillions, decillions... We separated from her all the way back in the F956 Universe. Now, she just so happens to appear here, where we are, in a completely different Universe. You don’t really think it is a coincidence, right?’

Rean obviously didn’t. ’Of course not! However, I don’t think Havira herself came after us. At least for her, it will look like a coincidence. For us, other than the destiny shit, I can’t think of anything else.’

’Exactly,’ Roan nodded. ’I just wonder if there is a quest related to her or something like that.’

Rean was interested in something else. ’What I want to know is if we should get involved or not. Remember, we aren’t going to BH1, we are going to BH3. Havira, whatever her plan might be, I doubt it has anything to do with us.’

Roan pondered a bit. Havira was a proud Three Legged Golden Crow Spirit. It was very hard to imagine her trying to fight for some prince’s hand or whatever. First of all, how did she become a princess?

When she fled the Sunlight Realm, she was much weaker and needed to recover. Just like the twins right now, she was a Peak Stage Divinity before and was acquainted with Kentucky’s parents. In fact, it was thanks to her that they found Kentucky’s parents in the end.

’No, wait!’ Rean found something else in the information. ’Shit, Havira is no princess; she is a protector. The princess is the girl on her side.’

Emmanuel noticed Rean’s silence. ”Friend Rean, have you reached a decision?”

Rean almost forgot Emmanuel was there. ”I’m checking the information first. You are right when you say that acquiring a pass to BH1 without a contract is very interesting. Give me a minute.”

Emmanuel’s expectations rose. There was another reason why it had to be Rean and Kentucky, but he would wait for Rean to finish his checkings first. ”Yes, yes... please, take your time. I will let the guys in the Great Void Shifter know that you will take a little longer. Don’t worry, we will pay for any extra expenditures related to this delay.”

”Thank you,” Rean nodded with a smile.

At the same time, he continued his conversation with Roan. ’Let’s see... There is almost no information about Havira here. Just that she is responsible for Lufua’s safety... and that her name is Clova. Definitely an alias. Havira only appears in this one picture. Truly, if we hadn’t seen her humanoid form before, we wouldn’t have noticed her at all. No, to be more specific, this woman might not be Havira.’

’Indeed,’ Roan agreed. ’There are just way too many experts in the Werdlem Empire. There must be many who look just like her. However...’

Rean knew where Roan was coming from. ’Yes, who are we trying to fool? Considering the circumstances, this protector must be someone like us, a Divinity Realm Peak Stage at the very least. Also, she is obviously doing the same thing as her son, pretending to be a Sun Urpin Spirit instead of a Golden Crow. That would be way too much of a coincidence if it is not her.’

Back then, Klifon helped the twins, and in exchange, Roan made a cultivation technique for Klifon. Turns out Klifon was actually Havira’s son, and the cultivation technique Roan made worked for all Golden Crows as a result, including Havira.

As mentioned many times in the past, cultivation techniques for Demon Beasts and Spirits are pretty much nonexistent, let alone cultivation techniques for a Divine Spirit like the Three Legged Golden Crow. That one technique was worth sending the entire Golden Crow race into a suicide war if that meant they could have the technique in the end.

To pay for that technique, and also help set her free, Havira gave the twins the vial with a God Realm Expert’s blood. In Havira’s eyes, that cultivation technique would help her reach the Celestial Realm and maybe even the God Realm a lot easier than that vial would. That same vial was the sole reason Havira was imprisoned until the day the twins helped Klifon set her free. Well, she was forced to flee with Klifon in the end. After that, the twins never heard of her again.

She did not try to make her enemy go after the twisn’ group by giving that vial away, though. The reason was simple: no one would ever believe she gave the vial to someone else. Her enemy appeared where the Sunlight Realm was located, but by the time he arrived, Havira and her son had already left. In the end, the guy left as well.

’Should we ignore her?’ Rean asked.

’If she is really Havira and we found her because of the Destiny Attraction, there might be something good for us there,’ Roan considered. What did they need? Obviously, Celestial Points! The good thing about this would be that it wouldn’t be related to Primordial Beasts for once. If there was a quest or something similar involving Havira, it might be worth the effort.

Besides, it is not like they are in a hurry. They aren’t going to the Werdlem Universe either. Let’s not forget, they can’t simply go to BH3 and use it straight away. The slots they acquired were just to put them in the queue. There would likely be thousands of years of waiting until they were allowed to get close to BH3. This time, not even Celis complained.

Finally, Rean smiled and looked at Emmanuel. ”Alright, you have convinced the two of us. However, it is pretty obvious that for us to get those free passes to BH1, your princess will have to be selected. How will this work? Also, why do you need a Divinity Realm Expert with his Celestial Laws absorbed instead of a normal one? You said it yourself, you gain two of those Tombassin Recruitment Cards every fifty thousand years, so you must have two already for the next time.”

Emmanuel was delighted. ”Great! Let me explain how things will work and why we need you. But first...” Emmanuel turned back and looked at the entrance of that room. ”Xixie, come here and greet our new friends. They will go with you and your brothers to the Zentian Empire.”
