The Villain's Story

Chapter 721: How to kill a thunder giant (5).

It was no easy task to fatally wound an epic being while being levels below one. But for a dragon, it was not impossible.

A gaping wound that went from his neck to his abdomen, in the form of a rift, a slash that split apart his mountainous body and rendered it... Fragile.

The third movement of the martial technique Ariel created herself, for Kazikatoʼs use. The gate of weakness.

Weakness was a cause of death, weakness came from many sources, many things were the cause of weakness. The third gate coalesced all the sources of weakness using mana as fuel as unleashed them both of the target..

And the caster.

How could one utilize weakness if they had no idea what weakness was? The seventh star techniques were all like this.

They were special, down to the littlest detail, to the most miniscule detail. They dealt with concepts more than physical or magical attacks.

Although the technique was not supposed to kill Kazikato... He had used it at a level that was simply not for him as of the moment. Unlike Alan, who was unable to unleash the full power of his technique, Kazikato could.

But he refrained from doing so, precisely because of this outcome. His young body was unable to handle it. Ariel had warned him many times to use it only to an acceptable level, but he had ignored every warning right now.

He had too, in order to deal a fatal blow to Kizmal. He had succeeded at the cost of his life.

All those that remained, Sabrina, Edward and Olivia looked up in awe as they saw a massive wound on the body of the abominable giant. Surprisingly, there was no rain of scalding blue blood.

There was nothing but pained groans and the subtle shift of Kizmalʼs balance. The giant was not moving, it was at a standstill.

This was it, their chance. The look on their faces changed, they became... Spirited.

”Haaa!”

Edward raised his shields with frightening power, and jumped yo, catching a lightning bolt just in time. Without wasting a moment, he fired it with the shield of reflection.

At the same moment, Olivia also acted, she called all of her spirits and focused almost all of her power into one spot.

Her serpent turned into a large lance, wielded by Abalak as the spirit of the wind enhanced the power of the strike, magic circles, a dozen of them appeared above her and at the targeted area of the giants body.

Abalak charged forth, and both Edward and Olivia accomplished their tasks at the same time.

Two hearts had been destroyed, the giant roared in pain but it struggled to move. Either due to Kazikatoʼs strike or due to the destruction of its hearts..

It didnʼt matter right now, all that mattered was that they had more hearts to destroy.

Sabrina acted fast as well, using period of weakness she knew would end in a short moment, she formulated two spells. The same spell she had used previously, enchanted with all sorts of runes to improve their power.

”Strike true.”

She took a deep breath and whispered in the language of true names, imbuing almost perfect accuracy to her spells and fired.

The two lances of darkness fought brutally against the lightning and managed to hit their target, eliminating their target.

One was aimed right behind the earlobe of the unscathed ear, the other aimed at the left pec of Kizmalʼs chest. The location of two hearts.

But that was not all, the lances split apart after they destroyed the hearts, turning into a poisonous liquid teeming with the power of darkness, intending to eat at Kizmal...

And just like that, Seven hearts were gone, destroyed. Two by Sabrina, One by Alexander, One by Edward and Olivia, and two by Kazikato.

”Shit...”

But Sabrina knew time was up, there was no longer any dragon to occupy Kizmal, and the period of weakness inflicted by Kazikato had ended.

As much as she had wanted to destroy more hearts, she knew the end was near. The giant was furious, and the target of its fury was apparent.

Edward and Olivia tried to destroy another heart, but their deaths were quick. Edward was caught by Kizmal and crushed between his hands. Olivia was eliminated by a bolt of red lightning, not a trace of her body left.

Whilst Sabrina was simply eviscerated by the sheer force of collision. Kizmal had flung his arm like a whip at her, and her frail body offered no resistance.

[Alan Peccator, First POV.]

My eyes opened wide in shock as the sensation of being ripped apart ran vivid in my mind. My body remembered it like a nightmare, it writhed and contorted, the sharp pain etched into my very flesh.

But it was all an illusion, the aftermath. I was in a strange space, there was darkness all around me, but it was not complete. I could see faint traces of light... And hear the flowing of water.

Was I underwater? I thought, as a pair of arms wrapped around me, arms as white and flawless as porcelain, but really big... As big as my own, perhaps even bigger but possessing a feminine appeal to them.

I then heard a smooth, soothing voice, whispering right into my ear.

”I created it when I was filled with hate, yet it became a lesson for me.”

I recognized the voice, albeit it was entirely different... I recognized it. It was Ariel.

”The cause for creation of Death was hate, yet it became something far much more.”

I could only hear, not respond, each word was filled with a strange power, one that made sure I was paying attention to it, memorizing every word.

”It is as important as life, and it is as fragile as life. It is an instinct, an inevitability.”

I heard a small chuckle, as I could feel the arms wrap around me tightly.

”How did it feel?”

The voice asked a question.
