The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 776: Chapter 776: Mutual Restraint (1)_1

Shi Tian, albeit reluctantly, stepped aside.

Ruxin ignored Shi Tian and went straight into the sickroom, where she saw Yong Cang lying on the bed with a pale complexion. However, upon seeing her enter, he still attempted to smile and said, ”Miss Yang, please forgive me, he... he is just worried about me...”

Yang Ruxin nodded, ”I don’t mind, he is very loyal.”

Yong Cang nodded slightly, ”This was an accident, I had no intention of... anything.”

”This was not an accident.” Yang Ruxin had heard from Han Baichuan on her way over that this man had eaten at Quanshun Building many times before, and it was only this time that he suddenly became ill. She had, of course, become aware of the dishes he had ordered.

Yong Cang frowned slightly.

”Ah ha, I knew it, you want to harm our Young Master, you...” Once Shi Tian heard this, he scoffed and suddenly rushed over, raising a finger at Yang Ruxin, ”You viper...” But before he could finish his accusation, he suddenly felt a shadow flicker before his eyes and a sharp pain in his wrist, as if bitten by something, followed quickly by a spreading numbness. Startled, he exclaimed, ”You...”

”You are very noisy.” Yang Ruxin frowned at Shi Tian, ”If you dare say another word, I won’t hesitate to let the poison take your life...”

Shi Tian felt his entire arm go numb and was instantly terrified; this woman was eerily formidable.

”Miss Yang, he...” Yong Cang was also shocked, but since Shi Tian was utterly loyal to him, he couldn’t let harm befall him, especially now since he himself was too weak to even get up.

”As long as he keeps his mouth shut and remains calm, he will be fine in two hours,” Yang Ruxin threw a medicine pill over, ”If he still wants to point fingers at me, I can’t guarantee he will live to see tomorrow’s sunrise.” She knew from the start that this Shi Tian bore an inexplicable enmity towards her. Although she didn’t understand the reason, she interpreted it as his protective instinct, fearing she, a village girl, might entangle herself with his noble Young Master. Therefore, she wouldn’t really harm him, but she didn’t mind teaching him a lesson.

Shi Tian quickly swallowed the medicine pill, and indeed, the numbness in his arm ceased to spread further, yet he still couldn’t muster any strength in that arm.

”Thank you, Miss Yang,” Yong Cang said with a slight smile.

”What I just said about it not being an accident didn’t mean I poisoned you. Besides, I have no feud with you, no reason to poison you. Even if I wanted to, there would have been plenty of opportunities. I wouldn’t implicate Quanshun Building.” Yang Ruxin glanced at Shi Tian, ”Only those without brains would presume everyone is interested in your master.”

Shi Tian’s face flushed red with embarrassment, clearly realizing she was referring to him, and found himself at a loss for words.

”Young Master Yong, you should know that all things in the world are interconnected in a cycle of mutual growth and restraint. Divine Sauce is rich in nutrients and is no exception. When you had the Divine Sauce steamed eggs, you also ordered red date soup, didn’t you?” Yang Ruxin threw a barb at Shi Tian, then stopped paying him any attention, turning her gaze to Yong Cang. She felt it was necessary to clarify the matter at hand.

Eating shrimp and red dates together can cause poisoning; this is common knowledge in the modern age, but unknown here.

Yong Cang nodded, ”I did order a bowl of red date soup in between.”

Yang Ruxin turned to Han Baichuan, ”Uncle Han, didn’t I give you a list of foods that conflict with Divine Sauce? Didn’t you show it to the customers?”
