The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 771: Chapter 771: She’s Going to be Disappointed (2)_1

Yang Ruxin was at her wit’s end; these girls were still bothered by the incident where she had asked Erya to act like a lady. She patted each on their heads and said, ”Alright, enough with the complaints. Didn’t we agree that plan was scrapped? Hurry up and go about your business...”

The girls finally revealed victorious smiles, now certain that their eldest sister wouldn’t make them act like ladies anymore, and they ran off giggling and laughing.

The Pancake Fruit Shop only operated until noon and then closed for the afternoon; it did not open in the evening.

After closing, Erni came over with a box of bamboo sticks, ”Eldest sister, I’ve counted them. Today we sold one hundred and twenty pancake fruits and seventy meat-stuffed buns... totaling up to one tael and thirty-plus pieces of silver...”

”But don’t forget, we had a buy one get one free offer today, as well as a cake giveaway. Essentially, we made two hundred forty pancake fruits and one hundred forty meat-stuffed buns, and forty of those we didn’t charge for,” Sanni said calmly, ”After deducting costs and such, today we just broke even...”

Erni immediately felt deflated.

”This is already very good,” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”Today, everyone got to know our shop, and breaking even on the first day is really great. We should start making a small profit from tomorrow, and it will gradually get better. Plus, we made a lot of acquaintances today—social connections you can’t buy with money...”

Erni’s fighting spirit was restored in an instant.

On the way back, Yang Ruxin brought up Shen Yila to Gu Qingheng.

”Didn’t I tell you before?” Gu Qingheng hesitated for a moment before finally opening up, ”She and her older sister are actually tied to the Tenth Prince...” He then recounted the disgraceful events that had happened in the Shen Residence.

”Ah? It seems you really didn’t mention that,” Yang Ruxin said, momentarily shocked.

”Well, it’s not too late to tell you now,” Gu Qingheng smiled. He had found it quite incredible when he first heard the news, ”So, the Shen Family members are not the good lot...” He also mentioned some of the insider information he had received, such as Shen Yizhen’s pregnancy.

”Now, I can pretty much guess the motive behind Shen Yila’s behavior,” Yang Ruxin surmised after little thought. She guessed the younger Miss Shen’s objective, ”But, she is bound to be disappointed...” She and Qi Jingyi were merely business partners, and she had no intention of meddling in his personal life.

Gu Qingheng didn’t say anything, but he already had an idea. If Shen Yila dared to harm Xinxin, he wouldn’t hesitate to take care of her silently.

He was someone who had struggled back from the brink of death, his hands stained with blood; thus, he never considered himself a good person. Now, he would only do what he felt was right.

After that day, Yang Ruxin fully handed over the shop to Erni and Sanni. Of course, Zhou Xiao and Gu Yao would certainly be there to help, and with Qian Laodie and Liang Zi assisting, the shop began its normal operations. After a few days of opening specials, the prices stabilized, and they even took on delivery orders to the docks, about fifteen per day.

After operating for several more days, the daily income stabilized at around two taels of silver, which greatly motivated Erni and Sanni.

The villa in the village progressed rapidly once they started utilizing resources from Daliang. By mid-month, construction was complete.

Such a beautiful house was not just rare in the village, but even in towns and cities, which immediately caused a sensation.
