The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 756: Chapter 756: The Day of Betrothal (5)_1

Despite Guan Tongshi’s persistent attempts to make him stay, Guan Qingshu was resolute in his decision to return to the academy immediately.

”Mother, let Brother go,” Guan Qingyue slowly came over, ”These days, it’s true that I’ve delayed Brother too much...”

”I’ll take you to town,” Guan Danian finally spoke up, ”You should be happy that your son is ambitious.” He was speaking to his wife.

Guan Tongshi said nothing more.

In the end, Guan Qingshu still left.

At this moment, Yang Ruxin was making dinner. Since Dao Xuzi the old man had stepped in, she decided to make something he’d never had before, and so, Yang Ruxin made wontons.

”I’ve had wontons before.” Dao Xuzi was actually delighted inside. He loved eating things like buns, dumplings, and wontons, but to give Yang Ruxin a hard time, he still nitpicked.

”The ones before were filled with pork and Chinese cabbage. These are made with a ’three delicacy’ filling. Have you had these?” Yang Ruxin looked at him askance, ”If you have, then I won’t make them...”

”I haven’t had them, keep cooking,” Dao Xuzi hurriedly ran out.

Time continued to slip by slowly, moving into November. The weather turned colder, and for several days it was bleak, as if snow was imminent.

Wang Baozhu’s child was saved again

Everyone said this child had a strong fate, perhaps he would be fortunate in the future.

Yang Ruxin wasn’t sure whether the child would be fortunate, but felt that being born to Wang Baozhu definitely wasn’t good luck.

Wang Wu’s health, however, showed no signs of improvement, but he also didn’t dare to seek out Yang Ruxin, knowing that he would receive no kindness, and of course, he no longer dared to press Guan Qingyue to marry him since he lost the little coat on his head and had no leverage to behave recklessly.

Life seemed to have quieted down again.

On the sixth of November, the roof was raised on Yang Ruxin’s villa at the foot of the mountain, and everyone had a great time celebrating. Then, in the blink of an eye, it was the eighth.

Today was the day Little Liuzi and Xiaoyu were to be engaged.

Yang Ruxin went to Little Liuzi’s home early in the morning, and saw Aunt Hehua, who was usually kept at home, also arriving, looking quite healthy.

When everyone saw Yang Ruxin enter, they all greeted her with smiles.

”Why didn’t Aunt Xinghua come?” Yang Ruxin casually asked.

”You child, today your Aunt Xinghua is from the bride’s side, naturally, she has to busy herself at her own home,” Wang Hehua laughed, ”How can she come over at this time? But she’ll come when it’s time to eat...”

Yang Ruxin also smiled, ”You three are always together; I’m not used to it when one is missing all of a sudden...”

”I’m not used to it either,” Li Xiang said, covering her mouth with a giggle.

”You naughty girl...” Wang Hehua poked her daughter’s head.

Li Xiang giggled and went over to hold Yang Ruxin’s hand, ”Xinxin, let me help you.”

”Sure,” Yang Ruxin nodded.

”Xinxin, thank you for your hard work.” Liu Cuiyun nodded gratefully at Yang Ruxin.

”What are you saying? I’m happy to do it.” Yang Ruxin waved her hand and began rolling up her sleeves to prepare, ”Don’t worry, I’ll make sure everyone is satisfied with the meal.”

This time there were eight tables invited, mostly people who were close to Little Liuzi’s family and some elders from the village.

In truth, there was nothing much ceremonial about village banquets; as long as there was plenty of food and it was hearty, it was fine. So it really wasn’t difficult, and moreover, the menu had been prepared beforehand, and ingredients were abundantly ready. With several pots going at once, the cooking was quick.

Of course, Yang Ruxin had also prepared in advance, like pre-cooking some dishes and storing them in her space. When it was time, all she had to do was retrieve the original materials without anyone noticing, and then the dishes could be served without any issue.
