The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 681: Chapter 681: Buying Clothes (5)_1

Yang Ruxin nodded, business here was done with humanity in mind. She asked for the prices one by one, then picked out a set of peach-red embroidered jackets and skirts for each of the younger ones, all the same style. She thought about how cute they would look with matching braids, and then chose a powder blue long cotton robe for Xiaofeng. Since Xiaofeng was young, it wasn’t necessary to pay special attention to gender differences; she actually wanted to buy a red one, but was afraid the little fellow might disagree, so she chose the powder blue.

She then selected a powder purple cotton jacket and skirt for Sanni, and a gem-blue long cotton robe for Dabao.

There was no other option, the variety in styles and colors here was greater, but still less compared to the future, with blue and white being the most common.

”Mother, Xuexue, pick something out for yourselves as well,” Yang Ruxin glanced at Xun Hui and Erni. ”Whatever you like, take it and try it on. The styles here are truly beautiful.”

The shopkeeper, a woman about the same age as Xun Hui, saw that Yang Ruxin was buying so many ready-made clothes and knew instantly that she was dealing with a major customer. She quickly came over to serve them and, hearing Yang Ruxin speak, immediately smiled and said, ”Miss, your taste is excellent. Not to boast, but our styles are all the rage in Beijing. You won’t find them anywhere else here.”

”Big sister, there’s no need. I just bought two pieces last time,” Erni hastily waved her hand.

”Then you pick one out for Erni,” Yang Ruxin glanced at the shopkeeper. ”And choose one for my mother as well, I trust the shopkeeper’s judgment.”

”No problem at all.” The shopkeeper hurriedly presented a powder white cotton skirt with embroidered orchids. ”This miss has a calm temperament, and this dress suits her well...” Then she took out another skirt with pomegranate flower embroidery and a faint yellow hue, ”This young lady looks blessed; pomegranate flowers suit you, symbolizing many offspring and blessings...”

”Xinxin, it’s not necessary,” Xun Hui slightly pulled on Yang Ruxin, objecting. ”This set of clothes costs a tael of silver, it’s too expensive...”

”Yes, big sister, it’s fine to buy for the younger sisters,” Erni also nodded hastily. ”I can make my own when I get back...”

Yang Ruxin smiled, ”But don’t you find these clothes beautiful?”

Erni quickly nodded.

”Then how long would it take for you to make one of these with such craftsmanship?” Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly.

”One like this...” Erni touched the lifelike orchids embroidered on the clothes and hesitated for a moment. ”If I worked without stopping, it would probably take five days...”

”Exactly, five days without eating, drinking, or sleeping would be needed to embroider this. Isn’t it tiring?” Yang Ruxin smiled slightly. ”Embroiderers often ruin their eyes early because of this very reason...” Saying this, she stuffed the clothes into Erni’s hands. ”So, these clothes are worth it. Besides, if you can buy something with money, why exhaust yourself? With that effort, you could be doing much more...”

The female shopkeeper listened to Yang Ruxin’s words and couldn’t help but be astonished. This girl’s way of thinking was indeed unique.

”You are going to do great things in the future,” Yang Ruxin flicked Erni’s forehead. ”Have you ever thought about how many taels you will earn? So, don’t be so petty from now on. Learn from Sanni— if you like something, buy it. If you don’t have the money, then find a way to earn it...”

Erni felt her blood stir with excitement at Yang Ruxin’s words and quickly nodded her head.
