The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 534: Chapter 534: Love Potion (6)_1

The Feng Family glanced at Xun Hui and then turned to Yang Ruxin, ”Xinxin, you and Qingheng are already in mutual love. Why not set the date...”

”Mother.” Before the Feng Family could finish, Gu Qingheng called out.

The Feng Family could only force a chuckle and swallow back the word ”engagement.”

Gu Qingheng gestured for Gu Yao to push him over to Yang Ruxin’s side, ”You teach me how to make buns...” He had a promise with Xinxin and didn’t want anyone else meddling in their affairs. He knew the Feng Family wanted to talk about engagement, but even if they were to get engaged, he still wanted to give Xinxin a perfect ceremony. How could he achieve that now when he couldn’t see?

Yang Ruxin smiled, ”Alright.” Then she started guiding Gu Qingheng’s hands, teaching him how to hold the dough and how to fill it.

Disappointment filled Xun Hui’s eyes. She understood what the Feng Family was about to say. If things went as suggested, she would feel somewhat better—after all, it would mean the couple was serious and getting engaged would be doing things properly. But Gu Qingheng interrupted; did that mean he didn’t want to get engaged? Did it mean that once he recovered, he wouldn’t want Xinxin anymore?

”Mother, why don’t you take a rest for a while?” Yang Ruxin frowned at Xun Hui, ”Aunt Feng went through so much trouble to roll out the dough, and you’ve kneaded it back into a ball again...”

Only then did Xun Hui realize that the dough she had been holding was squished back into a lump. She let out an embarrassed laugh, ”I...” She had been too lost in thought.

”There’s not much dough left; you all should go out.” Yang Ruxin knew what Xun Hui was thinking, but didn’t feel like explaining since it was nearly impossible to make her understand: She might understand when told but would start worrying again the moment she turned around, soft-hearted as ever, so what’s the use of explaining.

Seeing the situation, the Feng Family really did put down the rolling pin and went to pull Xun Hui along, ”Let’s go out. Xinxin’s culinary skills are reliable. Look, with Qingheng’s competence, he’s learning quickly too...”

Though reluctant, Xun Hui followed them out.

”Big sister, I...” Erni was feeling quite uneasy.

”If you want to help, you can stay,” Yang Ruxin glanced at Erni. ”But keep your unhelpful opinions to yourself and don’t upset me with them...”

”Big sister, I... I won’t say anything...” Erni quickly shook her head, ”I’m not... not presumptuous... I... I do know my place, really...”

”That’s good,” Yang Ruxin nodded, then continued teaching Gu Qingheng how to make buns.

Gu Qingheng stopped for a moment and looked at Erni, ”Xuexue, I know you’re actually worried about your big sister, but don’t worry. I’m not the kind of man to abandon someone. As long as your sister doesn’t despise me, I will never despise her in this lifetime. Whether you acknowledge it or not, agree or disagree, I will be your brother-in-law, and I definitely won’t change, so you better be mentally prepared...”

”Gu... Brother Gu, I...” Erni’s face turned red, ”I... my... brother-in-law...”

”Haha...” Gu Qingheng immediately revealed a proud smile.

However, Yang Ruxin was stunned, looking at Erni who seemed unable to react. Sanni calling him that was one thing—she was very straightforward—but Erni changing her tune too?

”Mengmeng calls you that, so I...” Flustered, Erni stood up, ”I’m going to chop firewood...” It felt awkward for her to be around them; she was even starting to lose track of how to speak.

”What kind of love potion have you given those girls?” Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Gu Qingheng, ”How did you suddenly get them both on your side?”
