The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 533: Chapter 533: Brother-in-law (5)_1

In the afternoon, Yang Ruxin started preparing to make soup dumplings, which usually require aspic inside so that when steamed, the aspic melts into a delicious broth. But without aspic at home, Yang Ruxin had to additionally prepare some broth and ladle a small spoonful into each dumpling as she made them, which was a true test of her dumpling-making skills as it was easy to spill the soup this way.

Sanni gave up after trying to wrap one, realizing that cooking simply wasn’t her thing; she was better suited for catching fish and hunting birds.

Erni, on the other hand, because of her quiet nature and patience with everything, managed to get the hang of it after wrapping a few.

”Xinxin is really clever, eating a dumpling and coming up with so many ideas,” said the Feng Family, who was responsible for rolling out the dough. ”I can’t do it...”

”If you like eating, you have to ponder over it. Aren’t people busy with things here and there just for a bite to eat?” The dumplings Yang Ruxin made were beautiful, with even pleats around a small hole in the center, resembling a flower, which made them appetizing at a glance.

”You’re not wrong,” the Feng Family nodded.

At this moment, Gu Yao, who had been quite busy these past few days with morning acupuncture followed by a Medicine Bath, leaving him without any energy and needing to sleep, came pushing Gu Qingheng who had just woken up.

”Qingheng, would you like to come over and learn how to wrap dumplings?” Yang Ruxin had peeped at him while he was sleeping earlier and used her willpower to help clear some blood clots for him; of course, she didn’t forget to steal a kiss, but unfortunately, they didn’t get to talk. Now seeing him, she couldn’t help but bloom with happiness.

”Big sis, can you not smile like an idiot every time you see Brother Gu?” Sanni could no longer stand to watch Yang Ruxin’s mouth almost splitting her face with joy. She came over quietly, tugged at her clothes, and whispered a reminder.

Unfortunately, everyone was busy wrapping dumplings and could hear Sanni’s words loud and clear because of the short distance. In an instant, all eyes fell on Yang Ruxin’s face.

Yang Ruxin glanced at everyone, then touched her face and looked back at Sanni, ”Is it really that lovesick?”

Sanni pursed her lips and nodded vigorously.

”Alright,” said Yang Ruxin with a nod, then without a hint of embarrassment, she added with a reflective tone, ”Can’t help it, beautiful things always bring joy. After going to the old house this morning and looking at a bunch of gloomy faces, I’ve been utterly depressed. Now that I finally see a beautiful person, it’s normal for me to be happy...”

Sanni rolled her eyes and thought to herself that her big sister was beyond help, then hurried over to pat Gu Qingheng on the shoulder, ”Brother-in-law...” She didn’t wait for Gu Qingheng to reply before she called Zhou Xiao, Liuyun, and the others to go catch fish.

A smile tugged at the corners of Gu Qingheng’s mouth, unable to hide his amusement. She was always so unexpected, yet, why did he like it so much? Especially with Sanni calling him brother-in-law, it was utterly comforting...

Gu Yao glanced at Yang Ruxin and then down at Gu Qingheng, ultimately only able to roll his eyes skyward. The clouds sure were white...

Xun Hui’s expression was somewhat complex, ”Xinxin, as a girl, you should still be a little reserved.” She actually wanted to say that Ruxin and Qingheng weren’t suitable for each other, but ultimately didn’t dare to say it outright. She was afraid her daughter would get prickly, which was a scary prospect, so she could only give a slight hint.

Erni also hurriedly looked at Yang Ruxin, clearly thinking the same thing.
