Beauty Chairwoman’s Bodyguard Expert

Chapter 1718: Chapter 1711: Lan Xin’s Request for Help

By the time Lu Tianxing walked out from the sales department again, the lunch hour for Bai’s Group was long past. Walking out of the sales department and entering the elevator, Lu Tianxing fished out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and wore a blissful smile on his face.

For men, doing that kind of thing might be tiring, but it’s definitely the most refreshing activity. Especially recalling Lin Qianru’s shy yet pretending-to-be-bold demeanor earlier, Lu Tianxing felt a strong urge rise from within, making him feel as though a fire just extinguished was now reigniting fiercely. He couldn’t help but take a few deep breaths to suppress the raging flame in his heart, heading straight to Bai Zhiqing’s office with long strides.

Not far from the elevator, Lu Tianxing halted his steps, looking with a face full of frustration at Lan Xin blocking his way.

”I say, Secretary Lan, are you particularly idle every day? What’s the point of blocking me like this?” Lu Tianxing spoke grumpily.

”Hmph, you think I want to stop a pervert and scum like you?”

Lan Xin pretended to be disdainful as she listened to Lu Tianxing but a hint of shyness flashed deep in her eyes, her heart racing suddenly, obviously recalling the scene she witnessed earlier in Bai Zhiqing’s office. Had she been a moment later, Lu Tianxing and Bai Zhiqing might have ended up rolling in the sheets.

”Pervert?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Tianxing was slightly displeased and said, ”I say, Secretary Lan, you need evidence for such words. I think you are more of a female pervert, blocking me all day. Be honest, have you fallen for me and are trying to get my attention this way? But I’m sorry to tell you, I don’t like little women.”

Saying this, Lu Tianxing’s gaze discreetly scanned Lan Xin’s chest, disdainfully curling his lip, the implication clear.

”You... ”

Seeing Lu Tianxing’s disdain, Lan Xin clenched her fists tightly, unable to control the rage rising in her heart. What kind of eyesight does this jerk have? Her figure was perfectly proportioned, perfectly suited for appreciation, yet he didn’t understand.

”Secretary Lan, don’t be angry, small is not a crime; there are always people who like something smaller, right? And if you trust me, later when there’s time, I’ll find a Divine Doctor to prescribe an enlargement medicine for you, guaranteeing you can go from a C to a D within a year. Trust me, you will get bigger.”

With that, Lu Tianxing didn’t wait for Lan Xin to speak and reached out to pat her heavily on the shoulder before turning towards the office.

”Lu Tianxing, stop right there.”

Seeing Lu Tianxing about to leave, Lan Xin suddenly came to her senses, quickly running several steps forward and spreading her arms to block his way.

”I say, Secretary Lan, what do you really want? If you’re looking for a boyfriend, I can introduce some to you. My friends are all outstanding individuals, worthy of you; is it necessary to fixate on me alone?”

Lu Tianxing looked at Lan Xin with a face full of frustration, yet his gaze involuntarily flitted up and down her body.

”Introduce you idiot.”

Lan Xin flashed a mixture of embarrassment and anger on her face but completely ignored Lu Tianxing’s roaming eyes, already used to such looks, she directly said: ”Lu Tianxing, after work today, I want to ask you for a favor.”

”A favor?”

Lu Tianxing was taken aback, then a look of extreme fear appeared on his face. Looking at Lan Xin, he said: ”Secretary Lan, you’re not going to ask me to pretend to be your boyfriend again, are you? There’s no negotiating on that, I’m telling you, I’d rather die than help you again. I can pay to find a professional for you; spare me, last time you almost killed me.”

”Go to hell!”

After hearing Lu Tianxing’s words, Lan Xin glared at him fiercely and took a deep breath: ”Lu Tianxing, I know you have great influence in Modu. This time I want to ask you to help my dad, I’m begging you, Lu Tianxing.”

Saying this, a hint of pleading appeared on Lan Xin’s bright face.

”Help your dad?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Tianxing was slightly taken aback: ”Secretary Lan, if I remember correctly, your dad seems to be a government official, and involved in investment appeals; what trouble could he encounter?”

”It’s because of his position that trouble arose.”

Lan Xin’s face showed a hint of sardonic smile.

”Your dad got scammed?” Lu Tianxing asked looking at Lan Xin.

”That’s right.”

Lan Xin smiled bitterly, nodding: ”Some time ago, a few foreigners came to Modu claiming to be representatives from some big company abroad, here to assess the China market and plan to set up a branch. My dad’s subordinates were dealing with them, but in the end, they were professional fraudsters who ran off with a sum of money. This issue really has nothing to do with my dad; it was his subordinates who didn’t investigate properly. But my dad ended up taking responsibility for it, and he’s been unable to eat or sleep well for days because of it.”

With these words, Lan Xin’s beautiful eyes fell on Lu Tianxing, with a hint of plea: ”Lu Tianxing, I know you have great influence, could you help me? If you help resolve this issue for my father, I... I’ll agree to one condition of yours.”

”One condition? You’re willing to agree to any condition?”

Lu Tianxing’s face revealed a mischievous smile, his gaze landing on Lan Xin as it circled her, as if to devour her whole.

Feeling Lu Tianxing’s gaze, Lan Xin wanted to get angry but thinking of her father’s recent situation, she bit her lip and said: ”That’s right, as long as you agree to help, I’ll agree to any condition you have.”

”Really? Secretary Lan, are you not deceiving me?”

Upon hearing Lan Xin’s words, Lu Tianxing’s eyes suddenly lit up.

”Yes, I’m serious.” Lan Xin bit her lip and said.

”Alright, it’s decided then.”

Lu Tianxing clapped his hands vigorously, looking at Lan Xin with seriousness, saying: ”Secretary Lan, I’m definitely helping with this matter, but Secretary Lan, you should prepare money for a treat.”

”A treat?”

Lan Xin suddenly lifted her head, looking at Lu Tianxing with surprise; wasn’t he expecting her to sleep with him?

”Of course, if not a treat, what else is it? Could it be that Secretary Lan, you’re planning to take back your word? I’m telling you, I won’t take on anything without compensation,” Lu Tianxing explained sincerely, simply trying to trick Lan Xin to get back at her constant blocking.

Afterwards, Lu Tianxing looked at Lan Xin with a peculiar expression and said: ”By the way, Secretary Lan, why did you look so horrified earlier? You weren’t thinking about something inappropriate for kids, were you? Gee... Secretary Lan, you’re quite wicked-minded.”
