Chapter 1841  Legatee Amaro

Amaro wanted to ask the woman next to him before jumping in, but he realized that he did not have time for that. They might start a fight if he did not intervene right now. He was in the dark about what happened, but from the womanʼs reaction, the two dragons were not supposed to be enemies. His body blurred, and Commander Damaris was surprised as she just sensed the man. It meant someone managed to sneak next to her without being noticed.

”Are you sure you are not going to help your friend, Atilla?” Damaris asked the woman who tried to re-organize their army.

Atilla glanced at the two dragons and shook her head, ”I donʼt know what got into Commander Edsonʼs head, but I donʼt think he is so foolish to provoke the person who killed an emperor. And do you think he needs our help?”

Damaris let out a chuckle and shook her head. The fact that Tang Shaoyang did not return to his human form made clear that he knew the Second Alliance Army would make a move after the battle was over.

Tang Shaoyang raised his six heads as he sensed someone moving extremely fast, closing down so quickly. In his current form, he could see clearly who was coming. The man was wearing gold and black armor with a darkish-red cape. His hair was all white, had the look of someone in his mid-fifties, and yet he exuded a powerful aura, not so fragile, and he had the vigor of someone in his prime for sure.

Commander Edson followed the gaze, but he could not see anything until Amaro was closing to ten meters. Before he could react, the unknown man stopped right next to him, and Edsonʼs eyes widened in shock.

Commander Edson bowed his head toward the white-haired old man, his mouth opened and closed, who did not know what to say. Both were a respective commander from their legion, but Edson respected the old man. He regarded the same when he met the King because the man was a Legend in the Hurakan Kingdom.

”Skip the formality, Edson. I need to know what happens here? Why does the dragon suddenly want to attack you?” Amaro did not bother with the formality. In terms of ranks, they were on the same rank, and The King warned him to keep his conduct several times because he presented The King.

”I believe the dragons are not our enemy, right? If they are our enemy, I donʼt think the frontier will be intact.” He added.

Looking at how Commander Edson acted around the man, Tang Shaoyang recognized the man might be in a higher position than Edson.

”You are right, I am not his enemy, in fact, I saved the frontier from an emperor, killing Thomas Lysvand and the seven kings. But he wants to go back on our agreement for some reason.” Tang Shaoyang answered.

Amaro noticed the frozen black tiger behind the dragon. That was enough to tell him that the dragon was not lying, Thomas Lysvand was dead, ”And whatʼs the problem now?”

Tang Shaoyang gladly told the old man what happened. He did not want to escalate the issue, all he wanted was the sacrifice and the equipment they had agreed to.

”Ah, you are the same person who killed our Imperial Investigator?” Amaro heard that an Imperial Investigator pulled a scheme in the frontier and got himself killed along with three hundred soldiers. He did not know that the administrator was the six-headed dragon in front of him.

”Yes, and who might you be?” Tang Shaoyang was curious about who the old man was. He did not think the old man was the King of the Hurakan Legion. There was no way for a King to be alone in this place. A king should be accompanied by guards, and there was not a single guard around the old man.

”Ah, rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Amaro, the leader of the Royal Knight, or people might call us King Guards. The King sent me here to help the frontier until the next reinforcement, but it seems like I am not needed here. However, I am glad to come here because I get to meet you in person.”

”Wait a moment here, I will take care of your issue,” Amaro turned toward Edson, ”We will give everything you have agreed on. We still have fifty percent of the equipment, and you can share them with the people behind you. As for the Void Creature corpses, The Hurakan Legion will send whatever they killed for the following year!”

”But—” One of the commanders behind Edson tried to say something, but Amaro cut him off.

”What have you done in this battle? How much is your contribution, and do you have any casualty?”

The commander opened his mouth, but no words were coming out. He did not want to admit that Tang Shaoyang did the most work even though Tang Shaoyang had fewer people with him.

”Yes, you barely did anything, and you didnʼt lose any people because the horde of void creatures focused on these giant dragons. You and your army got an easy and safe job, attacking them from behind. You didnʼt do anything to help to kill the emperor and the kings, and thanks to him for killing the emperor and the seven kings you didnʼt suffer any casualty, yet here you are, trying to steal from your savior!”

”But—” One of the commanders behind Edson tried to say something, but Amaro cut him off, this time he raised his voice further. He was mad that these people did not have any shame left.

”Thereʼs no BUT! If you donʼt agree with my terms, you can leave empty-handed. Make your choice. And By the way, you come here voluntarily with no promised reward or what-so-ever, so why are you suddenly demanding a reward belonging to someone else?”

Amaro was not over with it and turned toward Edson, ”And you, are you really doing this Edson? Are you the same person I know? First, you have embarrassed us by not upholding what you have agreed. Second, how can you let others herd you around? You are the Commander of the prided Hurakan Legion who has faced and gone through several disasters! You canʼt let others sway you around! And third…”

Amaro stopped and let out a sigh. He was not supposed to reprimand Edson in front of many people. He needed to save some face for Edson as the man was a commander of a renowned legion as well.

”Itʼs enough! Disperse!” He turned toward the commanders from the Second Alliance Army, ”If you have a complaint, then send the complaint directly to King Luminar. King Luminar will directly respond to your little complaint!”

Knowing they could not get anything from here, the commanders turned around and left. Amaro stretched out his body, massaging his forehead after, ”I expect to move my old and rustic body, but thereʼs nothing to fight anymore.” He was genuinely disappointed that the fight was over, but he was glad at the same time that the emperor failed to do any damage to the frontier.

Amaro looked up at the six-headed dragon, ”So why donʼt you go back to your human form. My head hurts looking up.”

”Maybe after I get everything,” Tang Shaoyang responded casually, at the same time, he showed that he no longer trusted anyone from the Hurakan Kingdom. The first issue with one of the generals, the issue with the Imperial Investigator, and now. He gave three chances, and Edson disappointed him.

”What are you going to do with those bodies and also Thomasʼ body?” Amaro nodded, accepting the reason, and did not take it as an offense.

”To make me stronger, and you can watch it happen with your eyes,” Tang Shaoyang pointed toward the frontier wall with his giant finger, ”You can watch from the wall what I will do to the bodies.”

”Including Thomasʼ body?”

”Yes, and thatʼs the most precious body after the seven kings.”

”Are you Necromancer?”

”No, but Commander Edson should know what my class is. You can ask him if you want to know,” Tang Shaoyang had enough to answer the question, ”Can you leave now? I need some space and start processing the bodies.”

”Fair enough, and if those bodies are useful to you. You getting stronger is good for us, so we can get rid of this Void Cult once and for all.” Amaro did not say anything as he brought Commander Edson and the generals of the Hurakan Legion back with him.

Khaya and the others came back as the aura from the two dragons subsided, ”Can we stay here with you, Captain?” The Snow Elf asked, or more like a request.

Tang Shaoyang looked at his team, then he glanced toward the wall. He let out a sigh and agreed with it. He was afraid that those alliances would try their dirty tricks on his team. Especially when he could no longer trust the Hurakan Legion.
