Chapter 1831  Against The Emperor (1)

Khaya and her team were shocked to witness how easily the five kings were killed. She assumed that the five kings were dead. One king was melted along with the ice, two of them were pulled into the portal and never came out, the fourth king got his head forked by a golden imp before getting dragged into the portal, and the fifth was eaten by the red-skinned Orc.

The three remaining kings were also shocked by the situation as none of them expected the sneak attack. They were vigilant enough to notice the portal forming behind them and got away, but their five friends were not so lucky. They assumed their friends were dead the moment they were dragged into the portal.

A bigger portal formed and the calamities swarmed out. They landed between the army of the void and started on a rampage, disrupting the flow of their army.

The three surviving kings were The Faceless King who wanted to avenge his friend the Battle Kingʼs death. The Beast King resembled lions with the legs of a horse, and the wing of a bat. The last one was The King of Elemental, the only king with six elemental power masteries.

The Faceless quickly overcame his shock as he immediately realized how his friend died. Soares underestimated his enemy, and his friend most likely fell into the same trick. He knew his friend, and he was convinced that Soares was killed in the same way as the five kings.

”You are the one who killed Soares!?” He questioned the woman with the dragon blood as he assumed the gorgeous woman was the leader of this group. With how his friend melted with the ice, he judged the woman might be the most powerful one in this group.

Avyn did not bother to look the king in the eyes as she flew closer to Tang Shaoyang. Zara, Avyn, Vandir, and Karan flew closer toward Tang Shaoyang while the remaining spirits satisfied their desire to fight. Doombringer and the remaining spirits ran over the void creatures.

The Faceless King realized that the man was the leader of four who converged around Tang Shaoyang. ”You killed Soares?” He repeated the question as if he was looking for confirmation.

”Soares?” Tang Shaoyang muttered. He remembered about the Battle King, but he did not bother to remember the name. ”I donʼt know, maybe. I donʼt have a habit of remembering the name of the person I killed. So you donʼt need to bother to tell me your name.”

The provocation worked as The Faceless King screamed, forming swords in both of his hands made of Void Energy, and rushed toward Tang Shaoyang. They might catch his friends off guard with the ambush, but The Faceless King was confident it was a head-on fight despite being outnumbered. His figure blurred, but halfway to reach Tang Shaoyang, a massive shadow lunged from below.

The shadow was Doombringer, and he had been waiting for this moment. The Behemoth caught the Faceless Kingʼs feet and dragged the king down with him. The spirit smashed the Faceless King to the ground with a boom which was followed by Void Breath from Doombringer.

The Beast King reacted, diving down to help out The Faceless King. They could not lose more than what they had lost. He must save the Faceless King from whatever caught his friend, leaving The King of Elemental behind. The King of Elemental was more composed than his friends and watched the situation from a distance instead of helping them out. He witnessed two figures come out from the explosion, intercepting The Beast King.

Castor and Kiara took the lead, intercepting the Beast King. Castor breathed out black fire and threw the spear in her hand toward The Beast King before leaping toward The Beast King.

The Beast King was not expecting a second ambush. He folded his wing, covering his whole body with the wing, defending against the black fire. He noticed the spear, but he was confident with how strong his wings were. The fire did not hurt him as he expected, but it widened as he felt a force tearing apart his wing and piercing his chest.

His body flung in the air, falling down from the cloud of the black fire. Kiara lunged toward the falling figure, holding the spear, and pushed the falling king with her. The spear locked the wing as the Beast King could not open his wing without tearing it apart.

Khaya, Anne, Nandra, and Salia burst out from the shadows. Nandra and Salia lunged toward the falling figure, tearing apart the Beast Kingʼs back. Anne burst out with a spear in her hand, using Mathiasʼ killer skill. The spear pierced through The Beast Kingʼs back to the chest, and Khaya jumped over the body with her bow.

”Get away from him, Kiara!” She screamed as she released five consecutive frost arrows.

Kiara kicked away the body and got away from the Beast King as five frost arrows hit the intended target, the five arrows right in the chest, tearing through the wings. Then a whistling noise resounded as Castor dove from the sky toward The Beast Kingʼs body with his wing folded. Castorʼs blurred figure hit the Beast King and brought the king down with him.

Boom!

It was followed by an explosion of black fire, engulfing a hundred-meter area with black fire. With their combinations of attacks, they brought down one of the eight kings.

Khaya, Nandra, Salia, Anne, and Kiara gathered in the air, looking down at where Castor crashed along with the king. Even though Castor integrated with a wyvern, his move was similar to a falcon hunting its prey. They waited for the fire to subside, but then a figure flung away from the fire, and they recognized the figure, Castor.

Castor crashed into the lines of Void Creatures as the fire slowly subsided and revealed what happened. They almost killed the king, but they did not know when the emperor intervened. The Emperor was still wearing the same armor, but his body went through a transformation.

His white hair turned black and longer, and his eyes quadrupled, having eight eyes. All the eyes were black and red pupils, and he grew another pair of hands, making it to four hands. Two of his hands were holding an identical black sword and his third hand was holding the unconscious Beast King. Not just hand, he grew up with three pairs of black-feathered wings.

Thomas Lysvand squinted his eyes which created a creepy impression as he lifted The Beast King in his hand. The Beast King was dying and would die if not for his timely intervention. He noticed the fight behind them, and he did not mind that much at first as he thought the eight kings should be able to handle anything that came for them. But he made a mistake and noticed how The Faceless King was taken down by a giant, and The Beast King was ambushed by a group of six and was helpless.

He had no choice but to leave the six commanders and help the remaining king. The King of Elemental landed next to the emperor, looking at the five floating figures. He felt safer with Thomas Lysvand, and he was on high alert, expecting more ambushes.

”Where are the others?” Thomas asked where the remaining five kings were. ”Donʼt tell me they run away from the battle?” His voice deepened, filled with fury when the thought of the five kings running away from the battle occurred in his head.

”They are dead. Those guys ambushed us, and they caught five of us off guard.” The King of Elemental answered.

The eight eyes widened in shock and looked up at the sky where he found two with dragon bloodlines, an undead, a fallen angel, and a red-skinned Orc.

”I think they are the ones who killed Soares as well. Faceless lost his cool and was also caught by the behemoth there.” The King of Elemental pointed at the area where The Faceless Kingʼs body was.

The Faceless Kingʼs body was torn apart into five pieces as a behemoth stood above the body, growling and eyeing them right now.

Thomas Lysvandʼs breathing went haggard at the realization. He was cautious enough to bring eight kings with him, but he did not expect that a group that was stronger than kings was waiting for them here. He underestimated the frontier and paid a huge price for it. He quickly calmed down and tossed the dying Beast King to the King of Elemental.

”Bring him back, or else we will lose another king.” The Beast King was dying, and the only method to heal the Beast King was in their main base in the Void Realm.

The King of Elemental caught the body and furrowed his brow. ”What about you? I think we should retreat and investigate that group before fighting them.”

Thomas Lysvand waved his hand at the King of Elemental, ”I have to bring these peopleʼs bodies for the old manʼs experiments and tear down the frontier. They must pay the price for killing our people! I will be using that technique, leave now unless you want to die as well.”
