Reincarnated as a Mosquito, the School Beauty I Sucked to Tears is a Reborn Empress

Beast Taming Academy, Simulation Ecological Zone.

The Contracted Beasts began to gather, surrounding Chu Sheng and standing on high alert.

Just then, a student who had just returned from an outing arrived at the Simulation Ecological Zone, planning to visit his Contracted Beast.

He went to the Shadow Leopard’s habitat, only to find it empty. Following the connection of their Blood Covenant, he searched ahead and soon spotted his beast.

He hadn’t seen his Contracted Beast in a long time and missed it dearly, so he called out excitedly:

”Shadow Leopard, come on over! Your master is back!”

Normally, the Shadow Leopard would have bounded over enthusiastically to nuzzle against his legs... Yet now, it merely glanced at him before turning its head away.

’Unimportant.’

???

The student was completely floored.

’No way, has it forgotten its own master?’

He called out twice more, his tone eventually becoming a command, but the Shadow Leopard remained unmoved.

So, he had no choice but to walk over himself.

However, he had barely taken two steps forward when a massive Rock Rhino charged over, blocking his path.

The student jumped in fright, completely forgetting about the Shadow Leopard as he scrambled backward, yelling:

”Disaster! The Contracted Beasts in the Ecological Zone are out of control!”

...

In the dean’s office.

For the past few days, Dean Shepherd Mountain and several senior academy officials had been busy with the matter of selecting a Beast Tamer for the ”Divine Locust.”

After a rigorous selection process, they had drafted a preliminary list of candidates.

”These are all the top Beast Tamer students in our academy. They range from freshmen to seniors, and I’ve even selected a few from the graduate students.”

The Dean looked at the list and asked in confusion:

”These students who are Fifth-Grade or higher and haven’t yet contracted a second beast are no problem.”

”But what about those below Fifth-Grade? They already have a Contracted Beast. How can they possibly form a contract with the Divine Locust?”

A senior official smiled and replied:

”Dean Mu, your eagerness is clouding your judgment.”

”Even though these students below Fourth-Grade already have a Contracted Beast, we don’t have to make them form the contract with the Divine Locust immediately upon selection.”

”As long as their aptitude is sufficient for the Divine Locust to choose them, we can pour resources into them, helping them quickly advance to the Fifth-Grade Realm. Then they can form the contract!”

It dawned on Dean Mu, and he slapped his forehead.

”Right, right! The most important thing is their aptitude... No, wait, the most important thing is whether the Divine Locust is satisfied—whether it finds the Beast Tamer acceptable!”

”Okay, tomorrow I’ll take these selected students to meet the Divine Locust!”

”Heh heh, with this Divine Locust, just give it some time. We’ll see if the other academies can still act so smug!”

As they were discussing the matter, an urgent knock suddenly sounded at the door.

”This is bad, Dean!”

”It seems the Contracted Beasts in the academy’s Simulation Ecological Zone are out of control! Multiple students have reported that their beasts are ignoring commands, refusing to leave the Ecological Zone, and won’t let their masters enter!”

Hearing this, the expressions on Shepherd Mountain and the other senior officials’ faces changed drastically.

The Simulation Ecological Zone was the most important place in the Beast Taming Academy. More than half of the students’ Contracted Beasts lived there. If something really went wrong, it would be as if half the student body had been crippled!

This was an absolute catastrophe!

Shepherd Mountain had no choice but to put the list down and say grimly:

”Let’s go. We’ll head over and see for ourselves immediately!”

Several figures hurriedly sped towards the Simulation Ecological Zone.

After a Martial Artist’s Qi Blood Realm reaches the Fourth-Grade, they can achieve short bursts of flight.

Upon reaching the Fifth and Sixth-Grade Realm, their flight capabilities improve further, but it comes at a great cost. Only when they reach the High Grade Realm of Eighth-Grade and above does the energy drain from flying decrease significantly, eventually becoming as effortless as walking.

It was much the same for Spiritual Cultivators, who gained rudimentary flight in the Middle-Grade Realm and could only fly freely once they reached the High Grade Realm.

Shepherd Mountain and the senior officials had all reached the High Grade Realm, so they naturally flew there directly.

As they streaked through the sky, a few people below happened to witness the scene.

”What’s going on? Is that Dean Mu? Why is he in such a hurry?”

”I’ve been away for a while. Did something happen at the academy?”

The person in the lead frowned slightly, her voice cool and detached.

This person was none other than the strongest student in the Beast Taming Academy and the master of the Thousand Feather Snow Eagle—Su Li.

Su Li had reached Fifth-Grade long ago but had yet to contract a second Demon Beast because her standards for her second Contracted Beast were too high.

It couldn’t be helped. Her first contracted beast was on the level of the Thousand Feather Snow Eagle, so it was only natural for her to have high standards for her second.

This time, Su Li had left the academy to travel to a Secret Realm to capture a King-level Demon Beast’s cub.

Because her Thousand Feather Snow Eagle had not yet fully recovered from a previous injury, she hadn’t brought it with her.

Unfortunately, she had failed again this time.

And she had just returned to the academy at this very moment.

Hearing Su Li’s question, a male student beside her immediately answered:

”I don’t know where Dean Mu is going, but a major event has indeed occurred at the academy recently.”

”Or rather, a rather bizarre incident.”

Su Li gazed in the direction Shepherd Mountain had gone and uttered a single word:

”Speak.”

Eager to please, the male student quickly explained:

”A few days ago, a bizarre Demon Beast appeared in our academy... a giant cockroach!”

”This cockroach looked perfectly ordinary, but it took first place in seven events of the Contracted Beast Record Challenge. Because of this, Dean Mu and the senior officials are all treating it like a Divine Beast.”

”Over the last few days, the academy even started selecting talented students for the cockroach to choose a master from. A Demon Beast choosing its own master, can you believe how ridiculous that is... And the craziest part is, a lot of students actually signed up for it.”

Su Li’s brow furrowed at the word ”cockroach.” She turned to glance at the male student.

”What, you weren’t chosen?”

The male student’s eyes went wide as he retorted:

”I... I wouldn’t want to contract a cockroach! I’m the one who wouldn’t choose it, okay? What Divine Beast? There’s definitely something fishy going on!”

”Oh, right, that cockroach lives in the Simulation Ecological Zone. I wonder if Dean Mu and the others are heading there because of it.”

’A cockroach?’

’First place in seven challenges? A Divine Beast?’

As these words registered, Su Li gave a faint shake of her head.

”I don’t really believe it either. There’s probably something strange about this.”

”Let’s go take a look. And I can check on my Thousand Feather Snow Eagle while we’re at it.”

With that, Su Li leaped up and shot forward with incredible speed.

...

「Simulation Ecological Zone.」

By now, more and more students had rushed over after hearing the news, all discovering that their Contracted Beasts were no longer obeying their commands.

Some Contracted Beasts would respond to their masters’ calls but refused to approach, while others ignored their masters completely, stubbornly guarding a specific area.

Their thoughts were very simple:

’Master’s command? Not important, we can ignore it for now. The most important thing is to protect Big Bro!’

Seeing this, the students were beside themselves with anxiety, but they were helpless. As Beast Tamers, the Contracted Beasts they had painstakingly raised were now disobedient; they were on the verge of a mental breakdown!

As more and more people arrived, a ”standoff” soon formed within the Ecological Zone.

On one side were the Beast Tamer students; on the other, the fiercely defensive Contracted Beasts.

Finally, Shepherd Mountain arrived with the senior officials. He asked a teacher on the scene:

”What’s the situation?”

The teacher immediately replied:

”Dean, for some unknown reason, these Contracted Beasts are ignoring their masters’ calls and even their commands. Although they haven’t truly lost control, this situation is still incredibly bizarre.”

”While it’s possible to force the Contracted Beasts to obey using the life-and-death command of the Blood Covenant, it would severely damage the trust between the Beast Tamers and their Contracted Beasts. I don’t recommend doing that at this time.”

Shepherd Mountain nodded.

”Are all the Contracted Beasts in the Ecological Zone like this?”

The teacher nodded.

”From the looks of it, that’s most likely the case...”

Just as he finished speaking, a cool, clear voice suddenly rang out from behind:

”Hah. Impossible!”

”My Thousand Feather Snow Eagle would never disobey my command!”
