Chapter 1686: Chapter 1291: Bodhi Sect (3)

Xu Yuanzi said, ”As far as I know, the number of ’Fruit Position’ in the Bodhi Sect has not changed for now. However, with the advent of the Beast Tribulation, their strength is likely to have improved.”

Su Yuan looked at Xu Yuanzi and smiled, ”In that case, having such powerful allies join the battlefield of the Chaotic Star Domain is certainly beneficial for us.”

Xu Yuanzi’s expression shifted slightly, as if he had something to say but hesitated.

Seeing this, Su Yuan said, ”But since Sect Leader Xu Yuanzi specially came to tell me this, it seems he is not just introducing the Bodhi Sect to me?”

Xu Yuanzi pondered for a moment and nodded, ”Royal Envoy Su, I think the Bodhi Sect may not be as simple as it appears.”

Su Yuan said nothing, waiting for Xu Yuanzi’s further explanation.

Xu Yuanzi spoke slowly, ”At the beginning of the Beast Tribulation, after the Grey Realm invaded the Southern Continent, the Southern Continent was in ruins.

Various sects were overwhelmed, and the people of different countries suffered terribly. Many lost their families and were homeless, not to mention frequently attacked by Beast Tides launched by native Demon Beasts and Secret Realm Demon Beasts from the Southern Continent.

I once encountered a Buddhist monk traveling the world, who, along with the cultivators of the Five Directions Temple, rescued, healed, and treated countless people during the Beast Tide, saving the citizens of many cities and villages.”

”That sounds like a good thing.”

Su Yuan remembered that Wuzhen, whom he had met before, seemed somewhat similar.

Xu Yuanzi shook his head slightly and said, ”Yet a year later, when I returned to the place, the residents of those cities and villages were all gone, seemingly vanished into thin air...”

”Hmm? Where did they go?”

Xu Yuanzi said, ”It seems they’ve been transported away. According to my investigation, I barely caught a trace of an aura entirely different from both the orthodox and demon paths of our Southern Continent...

Though it’s not apparent, my Bone Blood Compass was extremely repelled by it; without a doubt, it was the aura of the Buddhist Sect!”

”You mean they’ve all converted to the Buddhist Sect and moved to the Buddha Country?”

Xu Yuanzi nodded, ”I’m afraid so.”

”Heh, if that’s the case, then the Bodhi Sect indeed has strong faith~”

Su Yuan’s eyes sparkled; rather than faith, there was something... a bit sinister about it.

Over the years, the Daoist Sect dispatched countless disciples to slay demons and exterminate evil, quell abnormal disturbances, save lives and heal the wounded, bringing immense aid to the people of the Southern Continent. It’s not an exaggeration to say they saved countless lives from peril.

Hence, in every country of the Southern Continent, people revered the sects of the Daoist Sect, honoring them as ”Master” and ”Immortal.”

Even so, it was far from reaching the point where people would abandon everything for the Daoist Sect, migrating to another continent with their entire family so extravagantly!

Not to mention the Daoist Sect, even enticing demonic sects like the Joyful Union Sect, Seven Emotions and Six Desires Sect, Taotie Demon Sect could not exert such attraction.

Xu Yuanzi said, ”I mean no harm, I just hope Royal Envoy Su keeps this in mind.”

”I understand.” Su Yuan nodded slightly, ”Thank you, Sect Leader Xu Yuanzi, for telling me this.”

Xu Yuanzi bowed again and then withdrew.

Su Yuan watched Xu Yuanzi’s figure retreat into the distance, his eyes shimmering slightly.

Su Yuan did not entirely believe what Xu Yuanzi said.

After all, Xu Yuanzi, as the Sect Leader of the Blood Evil Sect, was ruthless and treacherous, having killed countless people, irreconcilable with the life-saving Buddhist Sect.

His words might not be without personal motives.

However, Su Yuan also felt that the timing of the Bodhi Sect’s appearance was rather peculiar, neither too early nor too late, it was just right...

This added a degree of vigilance to Su Yuan’s heart; for now, he could only take things step by step.
