Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 90: Chapter 78 The Directionally Challenged Chapter 90: Chapter 78 The Directionally Challenged The next day, around 2 PM.

Su Yuan was refining Star Power in the cultivation room on the second floor when his phone suddenly rang “ding ding.”

“It’s time…”

Su Yuan opened his eyes, got up, and walked over to check his phone.

“Freshman, Wang Qiang, has issued a mentor challenge.

Please confirm and proceed to Combat Hall No.

1 to accept the challenge.”

“Freshman, He Huanyan, has issued a mentor challenge.

Please confirm and proceed to Combat Hall No.

1 to accept the challenge.”

“Freshman, Luo Wenbin, has issued a mentor challenge.

Please confirm and proceed to Combat Hall No.

1 to accept the challenge.”

Three messages in a row.

All notifications from the Academic Affairs Office.

“Three people challenged me on the first day…

There might be more, but the limit was reached, so these three were selected.

It seems that having no background and no fame indeed makes me an easier target…”

Su Yuan shook his head.

Although he anticipated being challenged, he hadn’t expected to reach the challenge limit on the first day.

Last night, to facilitate student challenges, all the preselected student lists for the teachers had been released.

This time there were 16 Burning Sun Level teachers in total, with 28 students selected.

That meant there were 28 spots.

In theory, with over a hundred Bronze Level freshmen challenging 28 targets, excluding a few predetermined spots for individuals like Shang Baiyu, each Burning Sun Level teacher’s students would receive no more than six challenges.

Yet, on the first day alone, at least three people had approached him…

Su Yuan didn’t believe others faced the same situation.

“Solve this early, and I can get back to cultivation sooner…”

Su Yuan casually confirmed all three challenges and headed out to Combat Hall No.

1.

With the Soul-binding Divine Tree, cultivation efficiency was greatly enhanced.

When Su Yuan arrived yesterday, he had only felt the surrounding Star Power concentration increase by over 30%.

But by seven this morning, when Su Yuan began his usual cultivation, his mind was clear, Star Power flowed smoothly, and he felt like he was blessed with divine assistance!

This was all thanks to the Soul-binding Divine Tree.

In addition to enhancing Star Power concentration, it also had a calming and focusing effect.

Such efficient and smooth cultivation had quickly become addictive for Su Yuan, making him cultivate from morning till now.

If there weren’t other matters, he would prefer continuous cultivation!

…

Su Yuan walked briskly along the forest path when he suddenly felt a slight chill approaching from the left and stopped to look.

He saw a familiar petite figure jogging towards him from a distance, with white shoulder-length short hair, ice-blue eyes, and a small expressionless face.

“Luo Bingtong?”

Su Yuan didn’t expect to see this petite humanoid star beast here.

What surprised Su Yuan even more was that in just a few months, the star beast aura around her had dissipated completely, becoming undetectable.

If not known beforehand, Su Yuan wouldn’t have thought she was a star beast.

While Su Yuan pondered, Luo Bingtong jogged past him, running towards the right path.

Su Yuan checked the electronic map on his phone.

Taking the right path seemed to lead to another cafeteria.

“Rushing to eat?

By the way, she’s a star beast.

I wonder if Demon Capital Academy prepares special food for star beast students.

Or does she eat the same as us?”

As long as there was enough energy and no food preferences, it didn’t matter what she ate.

Moreover, star beasts generally had stronger digestive systems than humans and were not worried about digestion issues.

Su Yuan didn’t look further and continued towards Combat Hall No.

1.

After walking two to three hundred meters, he saw Luo Bingtong again emerging from another path and running towards a left path.

“What is she doing?”

Watching Luo Bingtong’s gradually disappearing figure, Su Yuan opened the map again.

“Restroom?

Ate too fast and got a stomachache?”

Confused, Su Yuan shook his head and continued forward.

Before long, Luo Bingtong ran up from an angled rearward path.

Su Yuan quickly made way for her.

Surprisingly, this time, Luo Bingtong quietly stopped behind Su Yuan.

“What do you want?”

Su Yuan turned and asked, assuming she could understand human language.

Luo Bingtong stayed silent for a moment and then suddenly recalled something.

She took out a white phone from her ring, clumsily typed a few words with her finger, and showed it to Su Yuan.

“Combat Hall No.

1”

Su Yuan: …

But Su Yuan understood and asked, “So, you want to go to Combat Hall No.

1?”

Luo Bingtong put away the phone and nodded lightly.

Su Yuan thought for a moment, realizing she also must have received a challenge notification.

However, it seemed this kid was a bit directionally challenged?

Having trouble with normal life, how her parents trusted sending her here was uncertain…

“Alright, follow me.

I am heading there as well.”

After Su Yuan spoke, he continued forward, and after a thought, Luo Bingtong silently followed.

…

Combat Hall No.

1.

Today, the combat hall was much busier than yesterday.

The field’s barrier was fully activated.

Qin Jia, the vice president of the student council, who met Su Yuan briefly yesterday, was organizing the matches and determining the outcomes with some student council members.

The stands were filled with people, not just freshmen but also some sophomores.

“Little Jiang, Kun Yu, keep your eyes wide open.

See if there are any promising magician recruits.

Our Secret Technique Society aims to recruit twenty people this year!”

“Don’t worry, Brother Wang.

I’ve done my homework.

The one named Xia Yue, about to fight, is the most promising magician!”

…

“I heard there are several martial arts prodigies this year.

The president specifically mentioned two people, remember?”

“Yeah.

One called Wei Hong, and the other Zhang Tai.

Both are Bronze Level.

The president wants us to communicate with them today.”

“The Southwest Wei family and the East Pole Zhang family?

Definitely martial arts powerhouses.

Their level should be adequate.”

…

In the stands, small groups of sophomores observed the freshmen, mostly seeking fresh blood for their societies.

Martial Arts Society, Secret Technique Society, Summoning Society…

These various and distinctive societies were one reason the academy produced so many talented individuals, fostering a thriving environment.

Each society’s members typically followed similar disciplines, supporting each other and progressing together.

This was incredibly beneficial for students, especially freshmen.

Although official society recruitment was set to start after the 9th, these sophomores were already scouting for talent and initiating communications.

At this time, the arena was 99% filled with this year’s freshmen.

Including a few special recruits and top-ranked students from the entrance exam.

Even if they weren’t challenged, they were here to watch.

After all, today was packed with many Bronze Level matches!

Being in the same school, all top geniuses naturally wanted to see how good others were.
