Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 83: Chapter 71 Departure to the Demon Capital!_2 Chapter 83: Chapter 71 Departure to the Demon Capital!_2 Although Su Yuan had signed a contract with Demon Capital, and was already considered an official student of Demon Capital Academy, these two academies provided solutions, such as paying a high penalty for breach of contract or transferring after half a year to bypass the contract.

However, Su Yuan also decisively rejected these options.

Even disregarding the spirit of the contract, Su Yuan knew that Demon Capital Academy, next to the “Ancient Forbidden Zone,” was the most suitable for him.

Great Flame had a pact with the dominant forces in the Ancient Forbidden Zone to stay out of each other’s way, but this contract mostly applied to the top Star Beast forces deep within it.

The Ancient Forbidden Zone was vast and filled with numerous Star Beast forces.

Although dangerous, it was also brimming with countless Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, and rare beasts.

For someone like Su Yuan, who had the system, it was a paradise waiting to be explored.

Of course, the prerequisite was having sufficient strength…

Getting back to the point.

Wang Haiping continued, “Demon Capital Academy admits over two thousand new students every year.

With four grades, there are around eight to nine thousand students in total.

The academy also has more than two thousand teachers.

Among them, nearly 2,000 are Shining Star Level, over 300 are Radiant Moon Level, and more than 20 are Burning Sun Level.

As for those above the Burning Sun Level…

there are four.

Excluding teachers in administration, logistics, and management, the remaining teachers generally each mentor 5 to 10 students, regardless of the grade.

Every year before the school starts, Demon Capital Academy creates a ‘pre-selection’ sequence based on the strength and qualifications of the teachers.

The higher a teacher’s pre-selection rank, the earlier they can choose their students.

So, what is the basis for this pre-selection?

It’s the freshmen’s entrance exam scores!

In simple terms, better teachers get the right to choose better students in advance.”

Su Yuan couldn’t help but be shaken by the terrifying faculty strength of Demon Capital Academy.

A Shining Star Level individual was already an elite in Guangchuan City, but at Demon Capital, they were just an ordinary member among more than two thousand teachers!

To say nothing of the even more powerful Radiant Moon, Burning Sun levels, and those above them.

The difference was simply too vast!

The information Wang Haiping revealed couldn’t be found on Demon Capital Academy’s official website.

The more powerful the academy, the less likely they were to display such details.

There was no need!

Su Yuan thought for a moment and asked, “Director Wang, according to your meaning, the teachers at Demon Capital Academy have already pre-selected us?”

“That’s right, this pre-selection result is generally announced on the first day of school.

You should be able to check the pre-selection result tomorrow morning.”

“Since you mentioned ‘pre-selection,’ does that mean the results can still change?”

“Of course, the selection of mentors is mutual.

A teacher may choose a student, but the student might not choose that teacher.”

Wang Haiping took a sip from his insulated cup and further explained to Su Yuan,

“Capitol City is full of noble families, and Demon City is a gathering place for wealthy consortia.

In these places, you have to be cautious in your actions.

However, Demon Capital has a completely different style.

It is free, unrestrained, and respects strength above all else.

As long as you have the strength, there’s no fear of not standing out!

Similarly, Demon Capital Academy values strength and actual combat.

If you want to change your mentor, you can apply to the desired mentor within a week of the pre-selection announcement and challenge one of their pre-selected students.

If you succeed, you exchange places with the challenged student.

Under normal circumstances, as long as the gap isn’t too significant, most mentors won’t deny such challenges.

Unless the challenged student is in a support role or has other reasons such as health issues…”

At this point, Wang Haiping smiled and said, “Special admission students are often chosen by Burning Sun Level teachers.

If you are really selected, then most likely, someone will challenge you.”

Su Yuan said directly, “Is it because there are too few Burning Sun Level teachers?”

“That’s right.

After the teacher pre-selection, students ranked after 500 are mostly assigned to Shining Star Level mentors.

Those ranked before 500 are almost all assigned to Radiant Moon Level teachers.

Overall, there’s not much difference.

But around the top 100, the competition is intense!

The freshmen at Demon Capital Academy are almost all Ninth Rank Star Apprentices.

At least nearly a hundred students break through to Bronze Level at the start of the school year each year!

There are even some who break through to Bronze Middle Stage!

But Burning Sun Level teachers number only a little more than twenty.

Some of these teachers might choose one or two students, while others might not plan to accept students at all this year.

For students, given the choice between Burning Sun and Radiant Moon Level teachers, who would they choose?

It’s completely obvious!

Those who can break through to the Bronze Level before school starts are top talents from various places.

So many students who are not assigned to Burning Sun Level teachers won’t give up the chance and will try.

Even if they didn’t do as well in the entrance exam, real combat affects many factors, so it might be different then!”

Su Yuan curiously asked, “Are there any successful challenges?”

“Yes!

And there are two or three successful challenges every year, which also encourages freshmen to take on challenges.”

Su Yuan calmly nodded.

Wang Haiping laughed, “You really haven’t cared about anything since becoming a special admission student.”

“I’ve been quite busy lately…”

Su Yuan shook his head.

He had been focused on his cultivation and hunting Star Dust, not having much time to understand these things.

If someone dared to challenge him, he would just deal with it casually.

The flight to Demon Capital took off from Guangchuan Airport, breaking through the morning light and heading east.

“Director, do you really think highly of Mr.

Su Yuan?”

Secretary Xiao Yu, seeing Wang Haiping continuously watching the plane disappear into the clouds, curiously asked.

Wang Haiping seemed to be in a good mood and smiled, “Yes, although I don’t know the specifics of Su Yuan’s performance in the Demon Capital assessment, my mentor called a few days ago and almost explicitly stated he wanted to select him.”

Wang Haiping knew very well that for his old mentor to take an interest, Su Yuan’s performance must have been extraordinary.

Moreover, this meant that he and Su Yuan would no longer just have their current relationship, but they might also become fellow disciples.

As an excellent secretary, Xiao Yu shouldn’t listen too much or ask too much, but at this moment, she couldn’t help but ask, “Director, your mentor must be very formidable, right?”

Wang Haiping was taken aback, then laughed heartily, “I’m not sure how formidable he is, but in terms of seniority…

there aren’t many in Demon Capital Academy who can compare to him.

Let’s go back.”

“Oh, okay!”

Xiao Yu nodded quickly and hurried off to bring the car…
