“Ding!”

That chime signaled Jiang Fei’s learning of the Violet tier Recipe. When he read through the requirements and potential outcome, his heart got caught in his mouth!

Recipe: Divine Blacksmith’s Practice Sword (Remaining tries: 10 times)

Materials required: Gold Ingot x35, Silver Ingot x20, Tin Ingot x55, Ruby x2, Moonstone x3.

Those ingredients were reasonable. Although valuable, it was well worth an Epic grade Sword. He had problems with the —

“Remaining Tries?!”

Within “Dawn Break,” you were not supposed to be bound by the “Remaining Tries” limit, not even when forging Excellent grade items. As long as you obtained the Recipe, you could mass produce them. But there was a strict, limited forging attempt count for Epic grade and above Recipes. Such “practice” Recipes from class advancement quests were already lenient enough for providing up to 10 forging attempts. If it was an Epic grade Recipe dropped from defeating a boss, there would be three to five attempts. If a low-tier crafting class player had learned it, it was an utter wastage by default. Not a single thing would come out of it. This was also why big guilds all ensured that their in-house specialists hit the high-tiers as soon as possible!

Unfortunately, Jiang Fei had not purchased a Gaming Pod. He had no game guidebooks to refer to. He knew far too little about the game. This limitation had given him a little scare!

This was an Epic grade Recipe. Although Jiang Fei was fully confident to be able to successfully forge one. But if it was to produce an Ascended within the ten times, achieving a Legendary grade to complete the class advancement quest, Jiang Fei was unsure even with his additional Luck!

Jiang Fei had initially intended to slaughter the four fat sheep with this Epic grade One-handed Sword. Now that this limit was slamming him in the face, he could only keep the benefit for himself.

“200 Green grade Raider’s Breastplate in exchange for 350 Gold Ingot, 200 Silver Ingot, 550 Tin Ingot, 20 Rubies, and 30 Moonstones.” Jiang Fei then sent this message to the four big guilds.

Although Jiang Fei did not intend to give the Epic grade Sword to the four big guilds, he still needed the materials. Jiang Fei had just happened to send the 200 Green tier Raider’s Breastplates and 30 Blue tier Raider’s Breastplates to the four big guilds. The remaining 200 Green grade Raider’s Breastplates was just right to demand an exchange of materials!

“Okay!” The four big Guildmasters had no questions. After all, Jiang Fei had been clear about his requirements. Either way, his produced equipment were all Ascended with skills. Besides, there were so many members within the four big guilds. No amount of materials would be too much!

Not long after, members of the four big guilds had placed the materials at Jiang Fei’s feet. They took Jiang Fei’s equipment in exchange.

“Come on! God help me!” Jiang Fei rubbed his hands. He extracted his first set with care and started hammering away.

“Ding! You have failed your smithing this time!”

“Ding! You have failed your smithing this time!”

“Ding! You have failed your smithing this time!”

Those three consecutive failures had got Jiang Fei doubting himself. He only had ten shots at this. Almost a third of it had just flown off. He had not even produced one Epic grade Sword, let alone a Legendary! If not for this one-day-limit, Jiang Fei would have definitely thought of a way to level up the ring first. He would have attempted anything to increase his odds! But time was now the constraining factor. He simply had no choice at that moment.

“Ding! You have successfully produced an Divine Blacksmith’s Practice Sword of Assault! Smithing Experience +20!”

“Ding! You have failed your smithing this time!”

“Ding! You have failed your smithing this time!”

“Ding! You have failed your smithing this time!”

“Ding! You have failed your smithing this time!”

That one mild success had given Jiang Fei some hope. Now, he was not so sure. He was down to his last chance!

“Phew! Calm down! Calm down!” Jiang Fei took a deep breath. Sink or swim, this one action determined his fate. Well, even if he fails, at least he would be walking away with an Epic grade weapon. There was nothing to lose!

“Forget it. I’ve got nothing to lose. Even if I don’t gain a class advancement, so what! With my mysterious, cheating ring, I’m already as good as a hidden class!” Jiang Fei finally made up his mind. He swung his Blacksmith Hammer with abandonment and got started.

This time, Jiang Fei no longer worked the metal as meticulously as before. His swings became bold and unrestrained. Bang went the hammer on the anvil. Sparks were sent flying in all directions.

“Ding! You have successfully produced Ares’ Divine Blacksmith’s Practice Sword! Smithing Experience +20!”

“It’s done!”

The very moment the forging was complete, an orb of golden light blossomed with a gentle pulse. Jiang Fei raised his fist in triumph. Who could have known — a free spirit and open mind was what he needed!

“Ding! Congratulations! You have successfully produced the first Legendary tier equipment. Fame +5000!”

“Awesome!” Jiang Fei received a succession of system rewards. He started grinning from ear to ear!

“Damn! A Legendary grade weapon indeed. Such damage, such a stat increase, and such a skill! This is broken!”

Jiang Fei stared at this One-handed Sword. His eyes filled with envy, jealousy, and hatred. He was a Blacksmith. He could only equip Blacksmith Hammers. Other weapons had nothing to do with him!

Although he was unable to use this Legendary tier equipment himself, at least he had completed the Nameless Blacksmith’s quest.

“Oh! Not bad at all, kid!”

The leg-scratching man was still sitting on the ground, leaning against the anvil. But he was no longer scratching his legs. He was drinking a bottle of wine while nibbling a drumstick that he clutched in his dirty hand.

“Hey! I’ve completed your request. I’ve produced a Legendary tier equipment!” Jiang Fei handed the golden weapon to the leg-scratching man.
