BOOM!

Another massive explosion suddenly shook the ground under Francis’ feet and Francis turned back to see that the two dragons were still locked in a battle for the ages. The dragon that had tried to take a bite out of Francis was a black-scaled dragon with a ferocious look that reminded Francis of a devil, and the other dragon was the same dragon that Francis had seen with Jason earlier!

’He called it Ragnar, didn’t he?’

ROARRR!

Ragnar released a roar as it grabbed the Radagan dragon by the throat and bit down hard! The Radagan dragon immediately used its tail to slam into Ragnar’s head, and Ragnar swung its head around and used the momentum to toss the Radagan dragon to the side like trash!

BOOM!

The dragon flew back and slammed into the ground, and the battlefield shook once more as the dragon dug a deep trench as it slid back! Ragnar wasted no time as it opened its mouth and prepared its dragon’s breath, and Francis cursed as he turned and bolted away from the two dragons! The temperature in the entire region suddenly shot up to an insane level, and the air around Ragnar rippled and twisted from the heatwaves wafting off his body! The Radagan dragon was able to immediately sense the danger from Ragnar’s attack, and it quickly tried to get to its feet so it could unleash its own dragon’s breath, but it was far too slow, and by the time it was on its feet, Ragnar had already unleashed its attack!

TWOOM!

Ragnar’s attack shot towards the Radagan dragon like a beacon of pure destruction, and the Radagan dragon roared as it released its own blast of fire! The two flames slammed into each other in the air, but the Radagan dragon wasn’t able to put enough power into its attack, and this gave Ragnar the upper hand! Ragnar’s flames eliminated the Radagan dragon’s fire, and a massive explosion erupted into the sky as Ragnar’s dragonbreath consumed the Radagan dragon! Ragnar continued this attack for an entire minute before it finally stopped its attack as smoke slowly flowed out from its mouth! Ragnar flapped its wings a few times to get rid of the smoke around it, and it gazed at the Radagan dragon to see whether or not it was still standing!

Once the smoke cleared out, Ragnar saw that the Radagan dragon was down on its side, and when Ragnar went close to it and poked it with its tail, there was no movement from the Radagan dragon! Ragnar huffed out in excitement before it released a loud, dominant roar in the air!

Jason grinned as he felt Ragnar’s excitement through their mental link. It was obvious that Ragnar had enjoyed the battle against Jaraht’s dragon, and Jason was proud that Ragnar managed to kill the dragon without any help from him! Jason looked at Ragnar’s progression bar and his grin widened when he saw that it was already at [85%]. This was good. Jason already noticed that the stronger a subordinate was, the slower its hierarchy progression, so the fact that Ragnar managed to get all the way up to 85% with this one fight meant that fighting against opponents that were of the same level or higher was the best way to improve your hierarchy! Jason was going to put Ragnar up against a few more dragons before they were done in this world, and he would also use Ragnar when fighting the Soverign, so Jason was sure that Ragnar would reach a hundred percent before the mission was over!

Jason turned his attention towards Gina and the rest of his subordinates in the sky, and he couldn’t stop the proud smile forming on his face when he saw how easily Gina was commanding the Falcons in the air. Jason always knew that Gina was very skilled with magic and battles, but she hadn’t been able to really go all out in any fight because of how weak she was as a C Rank superhuman. If Gina tried some of the more insane things that she wanted to do, then there was every chance that she would die from it! But now that she was on the same level as a high-level A Rank, it was like all of those inhibitions were thrown out the window! Jason watched as Gina swerved the Skyking into a barrel roll that barely allowed it to avoid a massive dragon breath from one of the Radagan dragons! Gina used her wind arrow to strike the dragon in the head, and the dragon quickly came after her in anger with a massive roar!

Gina commanded the Falcons to continue moving as they lured the dragons forward, and the Skyking was barely staying out of the direct path of the dragon as it tried to take both it and Gina out of the sky! Normally, Jason would be worried about Gina risking her life like this, but Jason could already tell exactly what Gina was planning to do here, so he wasn’t surprised when Gina suddenly pulled the Skyking upwards and they went into a straight vertical flight at the same time that a giant worm erupted from the ground! The dragon had been so focused on trying to take Gina out that it didn’t even notice that Gina was leading it right into a trap! The dragon let out a massive roar as the worm grabbed it by the tail, and it quickly tried to pull itself upwards by flapping its wings rigorously! But Gina was right on top of the dragon once again, and this time she was relentless in her attack! She shot more than fifty wind arrows at the dragon’s wings and head and disoriented it enough for the worm to drag it down and slam it into the ground!

Gina’s mouth split into a grin once she saw that the dragon was down, and she reached down to pet the Skyking around the neck with an excited voice!

”That was amazing flying, Sky! What a good boy!”

The Skyking squawked with pride as it felt Gina praising it! Of course, she should praise it! It deserved all the praise for its amazing abilities! No beast could beat the Skyking in a test of flight! It was the Skyking for a damn reason!

Gina laughed when she sensed the Skyking’s proud attitude, and she ruffled its neck one more time as she turned to where Jason was watching with his hands in his pocket. Gina spoke through their mental link.

’Did you see that, babe? Your subordinates are amazing.’

Jason grinned before he shrugged calmly.

’Yeah, I guess they are. But you were pretty awesome, too. That was some great flying, babe.’

Gina’s cheek turned slightly red from Jason’s praise, and she couldn’t stop a silly smile from forming on her face as she ducked her head! The Skyking noticed the shyness from its rider, and it released a mocking cry that almost sounded like a laugh! Gina smacked the bastard on the head as her blush deepened in embarrassment!

’What are you laughing at, you giant chicken!?’

Squawk!!

Don’t hit me, you bully! I’ll report you to the King! The Skyking cried out angrily as it flapped its wings, and Gina just laughed as she wrapped her hand around its neck and whispered an apology! The Skyking huffed as it reluctantly accepted Gina’s apology, and it swerved to the side as they continued flying through the air.
