Invincibility Begins with a Super Fairy Manny

Chapter 1969: Chapter 1965: I Have Always Valued Clarity Over Conflict! (Part 2)

”This sounds absolutely absurd,” Maitreya coldly snorted, ”So may I ask Lord Red Lotus, what is cause and effect then?”

Xue An smiled, ”It’s very simple, cause and effect is obsession!”

Obsession?

With these two words, the entire audience was shaken, and all the monks appeared perplexed.

However, Yue Sha suddenly laughed, then clasped her hands together and softly said, ”Namo Amitabha, Xue An is truly powerful!”

Maitreya was dumbfounded, frowned slightly, evidently contemplating Xue An’s words.

Xue An, without pausing, continued, ”The World-honored one established the Pure Land Buddhist Country, preaching cause and effect to save all beings, this is his obsession, so he is always within cause and effect.”

”You come alone, coveting the Pure Land, this is also an obsession. Since we are all within obsession, how can we speak of transcendence?”

Maitreya muttered to himself, repeating Xue An’s words.

Suddenly, his face turned pale, and his whole body trembled.

”This....”

”Are you feeling surprised?” Xue An said with a gleeful smile, then slightly glanced at Wu Nengsheng beside Maitreya, speaking calmly.

”Since you are originally one, why divide into two?”

Maitreya looked at Xue An with a gaze full of terror and despair.

To be honest, at the very beginning, he somewhat looked down on Xue An.

Indeed, Xue An was once the number one master in The Multiverse, holding the status of Immortal Venerable.

But no matter how powerful he was, it was merely in cultivation levels; he still lacked much in Buddhist teachings and doctrines.

Therefore, in Maitreya’s view, as long as he spoke a few words, he could stump Xue An.

But unexpectedly, the one who ended up stumped wasn’t Xue An, but himself.

More than that, Xue An even revealed his origins in one statement.

Indeed!

Nominally, Maitreya and Wu Nengsheng were brothers, but in reality, they were one person.

It was merely one person showing two sides.

As he was baffled, Xue An slowly stood up and said blandly, ”I always make things clear before not contending. You’ve made three mistakes in total!”

”Coveting the Pure Land, trying to seize it, is the first.”

”Suppressing fellow sect members with Buddhist power is the second.”

”As for the third... your biggest mistake was attempting to scheme involving my daughter, wanting her to cultivate with you.”

At this point, a cold smile appeared on Xue An’s face, ”Want to be my daughter’s teacher, do you have that capability?”

Under Xue An’s relentless questioning, Maitreya’s face showed a hint of fear.

Just then, Xiao Yu on the ground shouted.

”The lord, this guy also wants to subjugate Lord Xiao Sha to be his protector Heavenly Dragon. That’s another mistake.”

Xue An smiled and nodded, ”Indeed, I almost forgot you mentioned it, under four mistakes, what are you planning to do?”

Maitreya remained silent for a long time, finally clasping his hands together and deeply bowing to Xue An, ”The mistakes are done, I await Lord Red Lotus’s decisions.”

”Very good! Since that’s the case, then take one punch from me. If you can take my punch and survive, all past mistakes will be wiped clean!”

With that, Xue An stepped forward, formed a fist, and delivered a punch.

This punch didn’t stir any ripples, quietly like a child playing.

Yet it was this very punch that caused Maitreya’s face to become incredibly solemn, exclaiming deeply.

”Merge!”

Boom!

Wu Nengsheng instantly shattered, transformed into golden light, and merged with him, then his aura soared exponentially within an instant, pushing his palms flatly to meet Xue An’s punch.

No sound, no airflow.

The two just silently collided together.

But the next second, Maitreya flew out like a kite with a broken string.

Not only that, in midair, Maitreya spurted mouthfuls of blood, while the golden light around him shattered, accompanied by crisp sounds like firecrackers.

Then Xue An retrieved his fist, quietly watching.

Until finally, Maitreya stopped his falling motion, barely stopping mid-air.

At this moment, he was extremely miserable.

The Golden Body had long been pulverized by Xue An’s punch, and most of the bones in his body were shattered.

Moreover, his arms twisted at strange angles, revealing the white bone beneath.

And in those wounds, faint glows of blood surged.

This proved that this Esoteric Sect expert was already on the verge of collapse; otherwise, he wouldn’t be unable to control his own blood and energy.

The power of Xue An’s punch was terrifying.

Yet unexpectedly, even though he took Xue An’s punch, there wasn’t any hatred visible on Maitreya’s face.

On the contrary, his eyes were filled with indescribable joy.

Then he slowly bent his knees, kneeling before Xue An, performing a full prostration.

This was the highest etiquette in the Esoteric Sect.

Xue An didn’t dodge, proudly accepting this bow.

Everyone was stunned.

”What’s going on with this monk? Why did he kneel after being punched by the boss?” Xiao Sha said, somewhat surprised.

”Isn’t it simple? Definitely, he was convinced with the punch!” Xiao Yu said.

But Yue Ji and the monks glanced at each other, seeing the astonishment in each other’s eyes.

Just then, they heard Xue An speaking blandly, ”Have you realized now?”

Maitreya raised his head, full of relaxed relief, ”In response to the World-honored one, your disciple has realized!”

Xue An nodded, ”Looks like your foundation wasn’t bad; this punch wasn’t taken in vain. Stand up!”

”Yes, World-honored one!”

Maitreya stood respectfully, all hostility gone from his eyes; even though he was gravely injured and his momentum was low, his eyes became incredibly pure.

The previous Maitreya always had a smile, but it carried some inherent awe, making it hard for people to face directly.

But now, he seemed like an old farmer, mundane and unremarkable.

White Eyebrow Arhat stared blankly, finally understanding, then clasped his hands together, praising joyfully.

”Wonderful, wonderful! The Sect Hierarch indeed has the power of dragons and elephants, shattering Maitreya’s obsession with one punch.”

Indeed!

Though Xue An’s punch severely injured Maitreya, it shattered his prejudices and obsessions with its supreme power, allowing him to break free from his previous frameworks and achieve great liberation.

”I mentioned earlier, if you can take my punch and survive, it’s considered settled. Now, you may leave!” Xue An said blandly.

Yet unexpectedly, Maitreya shook his head and firmly said, ”World-honored one, I am aware of my previous sins. I wish to follow beside the World-honored one, serving you to atone for my crimes!”

”Do you really want to serve me?”

”Of course!”

”Alright, then go back and reorganize the Womb Realm, and be ready for me to summon you at any time, can you do that?”

As he spoke, Xue An sent over a Divine Sense containing all the information about the copper door within the cave.

Upon feeling this information, Maitreya’s whole body trembled, then solemnly nodded, ”Rest assured, World-honored one, I will not shirk this task even at the cost of countless lives.”

With that, without even attending to his injuries, he swiftly turned and left.
