Invincibility Begins with a Super Fairy Manny

Chapter 1968: Chapter 1964: Let Me Ask You, What Is Causality? (First Update)

At this moment.

Under the vast sky, in the center of the overwhelming sea of flowers, a dark red lotus suddenly emerged, as crimson as blood.

This lotus grew taller and taller, soon reigning over the sea of flowers.

Then, the lotus began to bloom, trembling and swaying.

In an instant, a beam of golden light shot up to the sky, shaking the universe.

And within the golden light, a silhouette of a young man sitting cross-legged faintly appeared.

An Yan clenched her hands tightly, her face full of nervousness and anticipation.

Meanwhile, on either side of the golden light, two golden wheels also appeared.

Beneath the golden wheels, the figures of Maitreya and Wu Nengsheng from the Womb Realm of the Esoteric Sect were also revealed.

The three beams of radiant light intertwined, illuminating the entire Core Pure Land.

All the residents of the Core Pure Land gazed fanatically at the scene in the sky, then knelt down, bowing in worship.

”Damn, has boss become a god?” Xiao Yu whispered in shock.

As soon as she finished speaking, Xiao Sha gave her a hard smack on the head, ”Stop talking nonsense. The master is much more powerful than a god!”

”Yes, yes, yes! I was just making an analogy!” Xiao Yu smirked awkwardly.

At this moment, the overwhelming golden light began to gradually converge, ultimately merging into Xue An alone.

When all the radiance faded, Xue An moved slightly and then slowly opened his eyes.

The moment he fully opened his eyes, the Heavenly Dao trembled, the Starry Sky quivered, and a series of extremely Profound Mystery auras swept through like a tempest.

Everyone was in awe, bowing their heads and dare not meet Xue An’s gaze.

Because what kind of eyes were those!

Neither sad nor happy, as calm as the ocean, yet containing supreme radiance that made one only wish to bow in reverence.

At this moment, many felt as if they were seeing an ancient True God.

But soon, these radiances also converged.

Xue An’s aura gradually became calm, ultimately resembling a flawless, gentle jade, both warm and cool.

”Wow, Daddy seems to have become even more handsome!” Nian Nian murmured infatuatedly.

”Nonsense, when was Daddy not handsome?” Xiang Xiang retorted.

At this time, Xue An looked down at the crowd on the ground, finally resting his gaze on An Yan and the two little girls, his lips curving into a faint smile.

An Yan was moved to tears, even though Xue An had only been in seclusion for more than a month, it felt like an eternity to her.

However, before An Yan could speak, Xue An gently shook his head at her, signaling her not to speak, then lifted his head to look across, and said calmly.

”Still not awake?”

At this moment.

Beneath the two golden wheels on the opposite side, the auras of Maitreya and Wu Nengsheng were also boiling.

Soon, the two opened their eyes simultaneously.

When they saw Xue An in front of them, they were initially slightly stunned, then put their palms together.

”Blessings, no wonder you are able to inherit the legacy of the World Honored One, it turns out to be Lord Red Lotus!”

Xue An’s expression remained indifferent, revealing no signs of joy or anger, he only said faintly, ”No need for these pleasantries, just say, what do you want to ask!”

Maitreya’s eyes flashed with light, but quickly returned to calm, then softly asked, ”May I ask Lord Red Lotus, where should a Buddhist practitioner’s duty lie?”

Hearing this, there was a commotion among the monks on the ground.

Yue Ji looked completely astonished, ”There’s going to be a sutra debate?”

White Eyebrow Arhat showed a worried expression, ”Maitreya is the foremost expert of the Womb Realm of the Esoteric Sect, with unparalleled eloquence. The Sect Hierarch has just attained the Dao, I really don’t know if he can handle it....”

Although Yue Sha didn’t speak, the worry in his eyes revealed his thoughts.

Just when the monks were feeling a lack of confidence, Xue An casually said, ”You’ve already said the answer to this question, naturally a Buddhist practitioner’s duty lies in their practice!”

This response caused a flicker in Maitreya’s eyes, and he immediately pursued further, ”Then with different practices, how should one view them?”

Xue An remained silent, quietly looking at Maitreya.

The atmosphere instantly became tense.

Yue Ji softly asked, ”White Eyebrow, your knowledge of scriptures is deeper than mine, how should this question be answered?”

White Eyebrow Arhat frowned, pondered for a moment, and finally shook his head helplessly, ”The meaning in this question is too vast, I don’t know how to answer.”

”Then what should be done? If the Sect Hierarch is stumped by Maitreya just after attaining enlightenment, how can he still lead the Pure Land Buddhist Country?” Yue Ji said worriedly.

His concern was not without reason.

Because in Buddhist practice, there is this tradition where if you come out of seclusion, it means you’ve resolved an issue, and if you break through, it proves you’ve achieved something.

If you’re stumped at this time, it means your achievement isn’t on par with others, putting you at a disadvantage that’s hard to overcome.

As Yue Ji was filled with worry, in the sky, Xue An, who had remained silent, suddenly laughed.

Amid his laughter, Xue An said with a calm tone, ”One should hold the view of impermanence!”

The White Eyebrow Arhat, who had been frowning and pondering over the question, almost exclaimed in admiration when he heard Xue An’s answer.

Because this answer was seamless, brilliantly so.

Maitreya was also slightly shaken, but he didn’t give up, instead, he put his palms together and praised, ”Lord Red Lotus indeed has unmatched eloquence, I have another question.”

”Speak!”

”The World Honored One vigorously propagated two matters in his life, one being cause and effect, the other the Pure Land, what do these signify?”

At this point, Maitreya’s face showed a faint smile, ”I ask for Lord Red Lotus’s guidance on this question!”

Xue An’s face displayed a meaningful smile, ”I know what you want to say, indeed, the World Honored One is still within cause and effect, and has not transcended!”

These words shook all the monks in the Core Pure Land.

Because the scriptures they practiced all spoke of transcendence, yet now Xue An said that the World Honored One remains within cause and effect, not transcended, making it hard to accept.

Indeed.

Maitreya’s smile widened, the power surrounding him was imposing, and he suddenly shouted, ”Since that’s the case, where is the practice of Buddhism? If even cause and effect are not severed, isn’t it like a donkey grinding in circles, always going around in circles?”

These words were extremely harsh, mocking all the monks present as donkeys stuck in a loop.

Many showed anger on their faces.

But Xue An remained calm, not even lifting an eyelid, only replied faintly, ”Then let me ask you, what is cause and effect?”

”To begin a thought is to invoke cause and effect!” Maitreya answered without hesitation.

This answer was nearly flawless, leaving no place to criticize.

But Xue An shook his head, ”You are wrong! And gravely mistaken.”

”Where is the mistake?” Maitreya narrowed his eyes, speaking in a cold voice.

”You are mistaken in that you simply don’t understand what cause and effect truly are!”

Maitreya, the top expert of the Womb Realm in the Esoteric Sect, with eloquence and vast learning.

Yet in Xue An’s words, he became an ordinary person who doesn’t understand cause and effect.
