After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2190: Chapter 563: Exorbitant Valuations Like Housing Prices

Fuck!

It’d been a while since he’d seen Buffon’s column.

Huang Kaiwen thought he’d retired his pen already.

Didn’t expect Buffon to pull something like this again.

To be honest.

Huang Kaiwen actually kind of admired Buffon.

Buffon’s education level isn’t high, but he still brute-forced his way into writing the most popular column in Italy.

Clearly he writes exactly what the fans want to read; the writing style is secondary, as long as it flows.

And Huang Kaiwen could clearly feel that Buffon was improving.

At this rate, it wouldn’t be surprising if Buffon ended up winning some journalism award.

”Corriere dello Sport”: ”Recently, a Dutch man maliciously vandalized a statue of Kevin near Picasso’s former residence in Malaga and was caught by a fan who was peeing by the roadside. It is reported that the man is a professional player currently playing in La Liga. The police have not yet released more detailed information, but they do not rule out the possibility of prosecuting the man.”

Huang Kaiwen looked at the report, not sure whether to laugh or cry.

There’s probably only that one Dutch forward playing in Malaga.

Didn’t think he’d get caught red-handed doing something shady.

Huang Kaiwen also didn’t know what charge he’d get.

It’d probably be a fine and community service, though with Malaga there could be other possibilities.

Back when he was playing in La Liga, Real Madrid had specifically briefed everyone, including the Spanish players, on some of the weirder laws.

They were afraid the players might accidentally get into trouble; some statutes even the locals might not know, let alone foreign players.

Like how you can’t just randomly bury your dead pets, and you can’t casually beat rats to death.

Sevilla bans playing dominoes and dice games outdoors, and violations can be fined up to 300,000 Euros; they also ban hanging underwear on balconies, saying it’s indecent.

The one that pissed Huang Kaiwen off the most was in Malaga: in that city, wearing swimsuits in any commercial or public place is forbidden. Laws like that are just dragging history backwards.

Whether you’re in a hotel or on the beach, as soon as you come ashore you have to wrap yourself in a towel.

That really kills a lot of the fun of swimming.

After breakfast, Huang Kaiwen headed out.

Ramos had already parked the car at the door waiting.

After getting in, Huang Kaiwen said apologetically, ”What happened yesterday was my fault.”

”Drop it, Kevin.”

Ramos smiled and said, ”I know you meant well. She really is excellent, but that sense of superiority she gives off just doesn’t suit me. My parents, my brother and sisters are all very ordinary people; the people she looks down on are my family.”

”Forget it, don’t dwell on it. By the way, how’s Rene doing lately?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

Previously, Rene Ramos had been Ramos’s agent.

But after they returned to Milan, he was let go.

Ramos, hands on the wheel, shook his head with a wry smile and said, ”He’s really not much of a businessman. He just lost 1.2 million Euros not long ago.”

”You can give them money, but don’t ever let them manage your assets.”

Huang Kaiwen advised.

People say outsiders shouldn’t interfere with family matters, but given his relationship with Ramos, Huang Kaiwen couldn’t just watch Ramos’s money get squandered by his family.

”Relax, I won’t.”

Ramos said with a laugh.

He’d already seen clearly what his family was capable of.

It’s fine to give them some money to mess around with on their own, but when it comes to investments, he wouldn’t let his family anywhere near them.

After bouncing through so many teams, he’d seen way too many teammates get screwed over by their own families.

There was a perfect example right now—quite a few of Messi’s businesses were run by his family, and they’d been losing money nonstop.

Ramos felt pretty lucky that he’d met Huang Kaiwen back at Real Madrid.

Otherwise he’d probably still be stressing about money now.

The two of them parked at the club and headed to the locker room.

Not long after, van Persie arrived at the training pitch as well. He sidled up to Huang Kaiwen mysteriously and asked, ”Kevin, did you see today’s paper?”

”Corriere dello Sport?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

van Persie nodded hard and said, ”Yeah, I’m sure that guy is Van Nistelrooy. His agent mentioned it—since he’s at the tail end of his career anyway, his agent can’t even be bothered to keep him in line anymore.”

”I guessed it was him too.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

”It’s a shame he hasn’t been able to get into the National Team for a long time. Next time I see him I’m really gonna teach him a lesson.” van Persie said.

Huang Kaiwen: ...

You should worry more about yourself.

Every time they win a title he celebrates like a madman; Huang Kaiwen honestly worries that after the European Cup van Persie’s legs are going to get broken.

But since he’s a Milan player now,

the Yellow Ball King can’t just ignore it.

He’d have to talk to Robben and Sneijder about this when he had time.

The Netherlands national team locker room really needed to stay as harmonious as possible.

After Buffon showed up, van Persie immediately dragged him off to test out his new shooting technique.

Huang Kaiwen looked at the goal helplessly; this guy really didn’t seem worried about himself at all.

At lunch.

Inzaghi carried his tray over and sat next to Huang Kaiwen, snorting through his nose as he said, ”I heard you guys went out yesterday, three guys and three girls, and you didn’t even call me?”

”Your phone was off.”

Huang Kaiwen said, annoyed.

One look at him and you could tell he hadn’t gone home—who knows where he’d been fooling around.

”You should’ve come find me. I heard the girls were very high-class, just my type.”

Inzaghi said.

”Next time for sure!”

Afraid he’d keep pestering, Huang Kaiwen said directly.

”You’d better remember that.”

Inzaghi reminded him.

Huang Kaiwen nodded repeatedly.

If he didn’t agree, this guy would probably keep hassling him forever.

Kaka asked curiously, ”Kevin, you’re not seriously going to keep that promise, are you?”

Huang Kaiwen shook his head slightly.

It wasn’t about who he was closer to or not.
