After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2152: Chapter 554: Happy Birthday, Brother

Pellissier traveled all over, gathered old teammates, and attracted quite a bit of investment to rebuild the team at the ninth level.

Even in the age of money-driven football, stories like this still exist.

This is one of the reasons Huang Kaiwen loves the pitch.

However, this time it might be difficult for Pellissier to write his loyal soul since Serie A has attracted the attention of capital from various countries. Chievo may soon welcome a new owner from China or the Middle East.

After watching the match, Huang Kaiwen called the whole team.

Tomorrow is a rest day; it’s also April 22.

There are two players celebrating birthdays within the AC Milan team, one of whom is the good brother of the Yellow Ball King: Kaka!

Huang Kaiwen decided to give Kaka an unforgettable 30th birthday.

Early the next morning.

Huang Kaiwen went downstairs.

Albert said: ”Mr. Kroos and the Bender brothers are preparing in the yard; we’ve also provided some assistance.”

”Great, are the ingredients and drinks ready?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

”Yes, sir.”

Albert replied.

”Good, I’ll go check out the yard.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

He walked into the yard.

Seeing the giant grill, Huang Kaiwen felt overwhelmed.

Kroos immediately went up to Huang Kaiwen and said: ”Since it’s all charcoal grilling, it takes quite a bit of time, so we rented a grill from a German restaurant.”

Beside them, the Bender brothers were marinating beef brisket, and Huang Kaiwen’s eyelids twitched.

In Europe, sauces seem to be free.

Kroos continued: ”Today we have prepared pulled pork, short ribs, beef brisket, and chicken strips with chili sauce. Each type of meat is prepared differently, sure to give you a taste of German cuisine.”

”It’s good as long as everyone likes it.”

Huang Kaiwen said while patting Kroos on the shoulder with a smile.

It’s crucial for team gatherings to satisfy most teammates rather than catering to one person’s dietary habits.

Around nine in the morning, van Persie arrived with his wife, guided by the old butler.

They were carrying quite a lot of things.

Huang Kaiwen greeted them with a smile and asked, ”Is all this for Ricardo?”

”Yes, we did prepare gifts, but there are also some for you.”

Van Persie said with a smile: ”Buccellato has always been taken care of by Lily, so she has wanted to get you something. She went to Switzerland recently and bought some specialties and knew you like art; she got you a painting at an auction.”

Huang Kaiwen:...

Feeling like van Persie was not really here for Kaka’s birthday but for the Yellow Ball King’s.

Huang Kaiwen quickly invited them inside.

After opening the gifts, there were more things than Huang Kaiwen had expected.

What’s with these so-called Swiss specialties?

Huang Kaiwen could tell those cosmetics were high-end boutique items; this couple didn’t skimp.

Buccellato noticed Huang Kaiwen’s look and quickly laughed: ”Maintenance is important; your care for Robin goes beyond what money can repay, plus stars earn so much money, they don’t need to care about the value of gifts.”

”Yes, yes, that’s exactly it!” Van Persie nodded vigorously.

Huang Kaiwen opened the meticulously packaged artwork and saw it wasn’t so-called ”Chinese antiques,” which relieved him.

Everyone bringing Chinese antiques, most are fake, even genuine ones aren’t usually valuable.

Valuable items rarely appear as gifts.

Unless given by Kaka or Ramos, maybe even Inzaghi.

Huang Kaiwen instructed the old butler to put away the items, and Buccellato sensibly dragged van Persie out to help.

Having a good wife is incredibly important.

Especially for players who may not be highly educated or have much social experience.

Despite the Dutch team’s constant internal strife, they have good marriages, mostly marrying childhood friends. Their wives are supportive, avoid excessive spending, and offer help to their husbands.

Even Sneijder started that way, but he couldn’t help his own affair.

Shortly after.

Ramos and Inzaghi arrived.

The plan wasn’t disclosed to Kaka and Van Bommel in advance; they were just informed to bring their families over later.

Even though Huang Kaiwen values his good brother Kaka, he wouldn’t make Van Bommel feel neglected on his birthday, or good intentions would become frustrating.

Sometimes, it’s not about material scarcity, but comparisons can hurt.

The best approach is equal treatment.

As teammates gradually arrived, Huang Kaiwen joined in to help prepare.

Aside from barbecue, many teammates would also bring some specialties.

An unexpected event disrupted Huang Kaiwen’s preparations.

Van Bommel’s family arrived early.

Huang Kaiwen promptly greeted them, a bit surprised to see Van Marwijk and asked: ”Berth, how come you’re here?”

”I had watched the Milan vs Chelsea match live, staying at Mark’s these past days.”

Van Marwijk said with a smile.

Van Bommel’s wife, Andra, explained: ”Kevin, I’m not breaking the secret; it’s just Dad was around, and Mark wanted to come early.”

”No problem.”

Huang Kaiwen smiled and greeted: ”Let’s go inside.”

Bringing them inside, the old butler quickly prepared some refreshments.

Huang Kaiwen set down the coffee cup and asked: ”Berth, you’re not here today just to see how we celebrate Mark’s birthday, are you?”
