After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1944: Chapter 511: Rommel’s Great Desert Treasure

The next morning, not only did Albert prepare breakfast and the newspaper, but he also laid out the clothes Huang Kaiwen would wear today.

After breakfast, Huang Kaiwen left home with his notebook.

Milan City had now spiraled into madness, the whole city was imbued with the scent of happiness.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Huang Kaiwen occasionally glanced to see smiles on the faces of pedestrians.

Milan City seemed to have transformed into a sea of red, even Inter Milan fans didn’t cause any upheaval.

This was mainly because players from both teams had good relationships in private, often appearing in the newspapers.

”When the bus parade takes place, Ricardo and I have matters to discuss, don’t let others join us.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

Driving alongside, Ramos nodded and said, ”Alright, I got it, Kevin!”

He wasn’t curious about what the matter was.

Huang Kaiwen wouldn’t harm him.

Once they got to San Siro and were on the parade bus, Huang Kaiwen waved continuously to the fans with the trophy.

Before long, he stuffed the trophy into Inzaghi’s arms and pulled Kaka to a corner to sit down.

”What’s happening, Kevin?”

Kaka asked curiously.

Huang Kaiwen always enjoyed celebrations.

Calm and composed, Huang Kaiwen took out his notebook, opened it, and whispered: ”The Germans used the Enigma machine during WWII, I initially thought Rommel used it to encrypt, and specifically bought a WW2 code machine from a collector, but found that wasn’t the case.”

”Did you decipher it?”

Kaka whispered.

”I did!”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”Amazing, Kevin!”

Kaka exclaimed, immediately covering his mouth and looking around.

Inzaghi wanted to come over after hearing the commotion, but was pushed away by Ramos.

Ramos said, ”Kevin has something to discuss with him, don’t disturb them.”

”Tch, we three are The Three Musketeers, the most you can be is their horse,” Inzaghi said discontentedly.

He wasn’t curious about what Huang Kaiwen and Kaka were talking about, but he disliked being excluded.

”I was wrong!”

Kaka apologized.

”No worries.” Huang Kaiwen continued: ”Do you know about Rommel?”

”Yes, I’ve recently looked up a lot of information, he was ordered to poison himself by the mustached one.”

Kaka said.

”True, but before being called back to his country, the fronts had already shown signs of decline, thinking it over, the United Kingdom already deciphered Enigma, Rommel wouldn’t make such a mistake.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”Indeed, I think so too. He was the renowned Desert Fox!”

Kaka said.

When looking into Rommel’s data, he greatly admired Rommel’s strategic capabilities.

”Yes, there are three theories about Rommel’s treasure.”

Huang Kaiwen held up three fingers and said: ”At that time, he wanted to transport things back to Berlin, initially thinking of shipping to Italy, but Italy had already betrayed them, so he used a submarine which was sunk by the British. The second theory is he hid the treasure in the desert, the treasure team was wiped out by the British forces. The third theory is he actually handed the treasures to the Swiss, previously Jewish people accused the Swiss of helping the Nazis hide treasures, the Swiss Bank paid $1.2 billion which proved this.”

”That money is in Switzerland, doesn’t that mean we have no chance?”

Kaka said, a bit disappointed.

He had already bought things for the spring outing, no, the treasure hunt.

”Certainly not, the Germans wouldn’t trust the Swiss easily. I am more inclined to believe Rommel found a way to hand some things over to the Swiss to distract allied forces, but in fact, he already hid the treasures.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

”Really, Kevin?!”

Kaka asked curiously.

”Indeed, because I already know where his treasures are hidden!”

Huang Kaiwen said softly.

”What?”

Kaka asked in surprise: ”How did you know, I’ve read that diary hundreds of times without a clue.”

The key lies in his son Manfred.

”That guy?”

Kaka asked surprised: ”Didn’t he receive the French Knight’s Medal, the France Friendly Exchange Award, and became Commander of the French Foreign Legion? It’s hard to imagine he’s the son of Rommel.”

”There’s no choice, since he is Rommel’s son, he must be amiable towards France.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

Otherwise, living itself would be questionable.

Kaka signaled for Huang Kaiwen to continue.

Huang Kaiwen said: ”I took the letters from Manfred’s names and looked for patterns, also tried his mother Lucy’s name for patterns but failed. However, in the newspapers Albert helped me collect, I found Manfred mentioned during a speech in 1979 when he was the mayor of Stuttgart that his father Rommel liked the poems of German poet Heinrich Heine, which sparked my inspiration.”

Huang Kaiwen took a sip of water and continued: ”In the latter parts of the diary, I saw sentences similar to Heine’s poetry, then I extracted differing places in the wording, arranged the letters as per German alphabet, and got coordinates.”

Kaka stared wide-eyed at Huang Kaiwen, already having guesses, softly asked: ”Longitude and latitude?”

”Yes, it’s in Tunisia, but not in the desert of Douz guessed by others, it’s in Gulanbaliye!”

Huang Kaiwen said.

Previously Rommel’s battles were in the northern coast of Tunisia along with Fahe.

Hiding the treasures near Gulanbaliye proves really hard to guess, considering Gulanbaliye is not coastal nor a strategic location.

Precisely because of this, so many adventurers didn’t find his treasure location. Huang Kaiwen thought they might have quite a harvest this summer.
