After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1909: Chapter 504: Ingenious Schemes Are Born Only in Desperation

He was sure the other side would call him again.

How much Messi sold for had nothing to do with him, but kicking Laporta out and the commission from Messi’s signing-on fee were very real to him.

These politicians don’t give a damn about selling out the club’s interests.

The fact that Rosell had already come knocking showed just how desperate he was to get rid of Laporta.

Huang Kaiwen smiled.

Finally.

King Messi was about to take the surname ”Milan”!

When the time comes, Yellow Ball King on the left, King Messi on the right, shove Yue Lun in the middle and it still wouldn’t fucking matter.

Huang Kaiwen stretched lazily and left the conference room.

At the door, Guardiola asked, ”Kevin, you didn’t promise him anything, did you?”

”Nope.”

Huang Kaiwen shook his head with a smile.

”Good.”

Guardiola said, ”But even if you did, it’s fine. As long as you don’t sign anything, you’re good. I forgot to remind you just now and was a bit worried.”

”I know, coach.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

In the afternoon the whole Milan squad flew back to Milan City.

Even though Huang Kaiwen hadn’t agreed to Rosell yet.

Rosell still hadn’t given up.

Lots of newspapers and TV stations in Catalonia were calling Laporta to account.

Blowing a 3–1 lead and getting turned around like that could only be called a disgrace for Barca.

Back in Milan, the squad got a hero’s welcome.

As Maldini and Gagliani walked out of customs, Malpensa Airport erupted in thunderous cheers.

As the players appeared one after another, the atmosphere in the airport grew downright feverish.

A comeback this crazy was almost second only to that magical night in Istanbul.

Huang Kaiwen and Kaka walked out of customs together.

The atmosphere finally hit its peak.

The staff at Malpensa, being well-practiced, brought out the loudspeaker; Huang Kaiwen took it, waved, and said, ”We’ve made the Champions Cup final again. So, what do you want next?”

”The title!”

”The title!”

”The title!”

Huang Kaiwen raised an eyebrow and, imitating Ancelotti’s tone, said, ”Back then Karl stood at San Siro and said there was always a voice in his head. Well, I want to say the same thing.”

Huang Kaiwen switched to a nasal tone, humming that tune.

After two lines, he raised his right hand.

”Wembley, Wembley, we are the red and black army marching on the road to Wembley...”

That famous reworked Manchester United anthem rang out over Milan City once again.

Once he got home, Huang Kaiwen collapsed onto the sofa.

He’d burned a lot of energy during the match, and in the morning he’d gone toe-to-toe with Rosell in a battle of wits; at this point he really was a bit overdrawn.

”Sir, Mourinho has made some comments about the final.”

Albert said.

”What?”

Huang Kaiwen asked, rubbing his temples.

Albert didn’t say anything, just handed the newspaper to Huang Kaiwen.

In an interview with The Times, Mourinho said, ”I’m very happy to be going back to London for the final. I spent a long time in London. I know Pep has gone through as well, but as a rookie coach he still has a lot to learn. I’ve played so many matches at Wembley Stadium and I’ve never lost there. That’s not something you achieve just by saying ’I don’t rely too much on any player’!”

Huang Kaiwen couldn’t help laughing.

That really was classic Mourinho.

Full of bite, backed up with stats to prove his point.

Looks like Guardiola imitating him twice had really pissed him off.

Huang Kaiwen kept reading and immediately straightened up.

Milan Sports Newspaper wrote, ”That scene of Kevin comforting Messi after the match really makes us wonder: is Barca’s number 10 about to become a Milan player?”

Huang Kaiwen said, ”Tell them not to run stories about me and Messi.”

”Got it, sir.”

Albert left at once.

Huang Kaiwen shook his head.

These reporters live to stir shit up.

Before Messi’s transfer goes through, this kind of thing shouldn’t be reported. Even if it doesn’t affect the move, it’ll make Messi’s situation at Barca even worse.

Corriere dello Sport and Turin Sport Report were both talking about his free kick.

That free kick really was brilliant.

Just the analysis in Turin Sport Report took up two full pages. Odds are that free kick will be a hot topic in European football for quite a while.

Huang Kaiwen thought of the papers he’d bought at the airport.

He pulled out AS Newspaper, and to his surprise the front page was actually an exclusive interview with Pele.

Pele told the reporter, ”I’ve said long ago that Kevin has the ability to play beautiful football and still win matches. This game is the best proof. Not just him—some Brazilian players’ style has become Europeanized too, like screws in a factory, all the same standard. That kind of football is boring and meaningless.

I also hope players back in Brazil watch this game and see how Kevin won it. Samba Football is not inferior to European football. They need to find ways to improve their technique instead of giving up using skill moves to beat people. Who’s the best number 10, me or Kevin? Back then it was me, now it’s Kevin!”

Huang Kaiwen couldn’t help laughing.

Pele was still the same old Pele.

Sure enough, the next part of AS Newspaper focused on Busquets’ foul.

If Ramos’s tackle hadn’t been so vicious, Huang Kaiwen had even thought about trying to appeal and get the red card overturned so his good brother could play the Champions League final.

That night.

The Italian Football Federation announced that the Coppa Italia final would be postponed.

The Coppa Italia final, originally scheduled for May 29, was only one day after the UEFA Champions League final.

But since Milan had reached the Champions League final, there was no way they were going to be held back.
