After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1096: Chapter 349: Fated Showdown

If you don’t know, fine. But if you do know, you let Cheryl go drinking on her own, and something happens, Yellow Ball King would feel very guilty about it.

Sigh.

It probably takes some time for things to settle down.

Just as Huang Kaiwen was reading the news,

the old butler brought someone into the living room.

Huang Kaiwen saw the visitors, quickly stood up, and said, ”Mr. Abramovich, Miss Marina, what brings you here?”

After hugging Huang Kaiwen, Abramovich feigned anger and said, ”Didn’t I tell you to call me Roman?”

”Alright then, Roman, what brings you here today?”

Guiding the two to sit on the sofa, Huang Kaiwen asked after sitting down himself.

”It’s like this, Jose has been banned again. The punishment this time won’t be light. Should we consider changing the coach?” Abramovich tentatively asked.

”Forget it, Roman. Mr. Mourinho is excellent.”

Huang Kaiwen directly refused.

Even though he didn’t want to meddle too much in the team’s affairs,

Chelsea is currently stable in performance, there’s no need to change the coach.

Switching to an unknown coach, like Lord Mo type who’s overly confident, could cause the team to fall into turmoil.

”Alright, that’s what I thought too.”

Abramovich nodded and said.

”Roman, did you come here today just for this?”

Huang Kaiwen said, ”If it’s about the coach, I suggest you communicate with the media to help reduce some pressure.”

”I will.”

Abramovich said, ”There’s one more thing, do you think I could manage Chelsea?”

Spit—

Huang Kaiwen, who was drinking tea, spat it all out.

Reacting quickly, Huang Kaiwen turned his head, and it all sprayed on Marina.

Seeing Sister NO’s speechless expression, Huang Kaiwen embarrassedly said, ”I didn’t mean to.”

Abramovich scratched the back of his head, a rare lack of confidence in his gestures.

”Kevin, I’m not saying I’ll be the head coach.”

Abramovich whispered, ”I’m saying that since some of them will be banned and the team doesn’t have a great candidate, I could act as interim coach for a few matches. This way, we won’t trouble the young team’s coach.”

”Oh, I see...”

Huang Kaiwen rubbed his chin and replied.

He understood what Abramovich meant.

This oil tycoon wanted to experience the thrill of coaching. Anyway, five people had already stood in Chelsea’s coaching area this season, one more wouldn’t hurt.

Seeing Huang Kaiwen thinking, Abramovich felt a bit nervous.

He knew he was the club’s owner.

But he understood even more what Huang Kaiwen signified.

The Great Emperor’s attitude change towards him mattered more than anything.

If Huang Kaiwen shook his head, he would abandon this somewhat absurd idea, although he really wanted to try being an interim head coach.

”In principle, I have no objection.”

Huang Kaiwen said, ”But not just anyone can be an interim head coach, right?”

”I’ve already consulted on this!”

Abramovich hurriedly said.

Marina directly took some documents out of her bag and placed them on the table, saying, ”According to the rules, we do need someone with a coaching license to be an interim head coach, but I’ve found a workaround. We will officially announce that the goalkeeper coach is the interim head coach, while registering Mr. Abramovich as the team’s physical therapist or assistant coach, so he can sit with the coaching staff on the bench...”

Huang Kaiwen understood.

It’s similar to the situation with Sir Ferguson.

Sir Ferguson was informed by UEFA that he must go through UEFA’s coaching training.

Having coached his entire life, he naturally wouldn’t care about such a certificate.

Ferguson never took the certification.

The situation was similar when Cruyff coached Barca; the Royal Spanish Football Federation chose to vote, ending with 14 votes in favor, 1 abstention, and 1 against, granting Cruyff the qualification to coach Barca.

The situation is just like that.

According to the regulations, Sir Ferguson actually had no coaching qualification.

Therefore, in some of Manchester United’s official documents, especially those involving UEFA,

Sir Ferguson’s position was listed as a member of the coaching staff, with another person officially as the head coach of Manchester United.

This procedure proved to be feasible.

Coaching staff members are not restricted by transfer windows or the like. After all, many new coaches are recruited and immediately start working; to appear on the match bench, they only need to register as a member of the coaching staff before the game.

”Alright then, I wish you success in your coaching career, Roman.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile, extending his hand.

After shaking hands with Abramovich, Huang Kaiwen spoke again, ”I really shouldn’t be saying this, but since you said we’re friends, I want to offer you some advice. The club president and the first team coach are entirely different roles. Even if you become an interim coach, people will still maintain a distance due to your identity. Blending in with everyone is key. Otherwise, your interim coaching could backfire, causing dissatisfaction from the first team and staff, which isn’t good.”

”I understand.”

Abramovich solemnly nodded, ”I will handle this matter well.”

Huang Kaiwen did point out an important issue to him.

If he really clashed with the coaching staff or players, he would be in a difficult position.

If such matters made it to the newspapers, his Russian identity would make him a target for the entire UK’s scrutiny.

Indeed, he should handle it carefully.

For a moment, Abramovich even thought of giving up the idea.

But he decided to face the challenge head-on.

As a successful businessman, surely he could connect with the players and coaching staff?

Eager to go back and prepare, Abramovich bid farewell with Marina.

Through the butler’s report, Huang Kaiwen learned that Abramovich also brought a few boxes of Hennessy Richard as gifts today.
