After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Abramovich held the microphone and said: ”Previously we had our own Ballon d’Or Winner, and now we have our own Mr. World Football. I can proudly tell you that every word I’ve said is coming true.”

Stamford Bridge was in a frenzy.

Huang Kaiwen and Abramovich were the two most popular figures among the fans.

Chelsea fans were very grateful to Abramovich; without him, a player of Huang Kaiwen’s caliber would have never been associated with Chelsea.

”Kevin sure has won a lot of trophies.”

In the player tunnel, Joe Cole said enviously.

”Don’t even think about it, Kevin is not on the same level as us players.”

Terry said.

Today was the last match of his suspension. Now he had to watch Huang Kaiwen in the limelight. Later, he couldn’t even sit on the bench; he’d have to go up to the stands.

”All of these trophies were earned by Kevin through injury.”

Ramos said.

His English had improved significantly recently.

Then Abramovich passed the microphone to Huang Kaiwen.

Looking at the fans in the stands, Huang Kaiwen said: ”Compared to personal honor, team honor is far more important. The new year has started; hopefully, by the end of the season, we can put several championship trophies on this table!”

Boom——

”Kevin!”

”Kevin!”

”Kevin!”

The future that Huang Kaiwen painted was exactly what they desired.

After consecutively winning several Premier League titles, Chelsea fans craved the UEFA Champions League more than ever.

Luck plays a big part in cup competitions.

But standing before them, saying he’d win several trophies, was a player who had won the UEFA Champions League for the past four years!

And with two different teams.

Apart from the ancient five consecutive wins of Real Madrid, this feat hadn’t been achieved by anyone in one team, let alone two!

Chelsea fans believed that even in a third team, Huang Kaiwen would continue being a UEFA Champions League winner.

Southend United players, playing away, watched Huang Kaiwen stand in the center of the field, like a king reviewing his troops.

They felt there was no hope for today’s match.

As a relegation-promotion team from English League One, what could they possibly show against such a Chelsea?

Soon after the kickoff, Kalou scored a goal assisted by Drogba.

In the following match, Chelsea kept the initiative but failed to score. In the first minute of stoppage time, Peter Clark scored a long-distance shot past Cudicini’s guarded goal.

This goal almost silenced all of Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho immediately ran to the sidelines to complain that an opposing player had touched the ball with his arm.

Boas turned to look at the bench, contemplating whether to let Huang Kaiwen play.

After being warned by the assistant referee, Mourinho returned to the sidelines.

”Jose, let’s put Kevin in.”

Boas advised.

Mourinho looked at the bench, after a few seconds of silence, shook his head and said, ”We can’t just send Kevin in every time; Chelsea is not Kevin’s own team.”

Boas shrugged.

Anyway, he’d tried his best to advise; if Mourinho didn’t agree, there was nothing he could do.

In the end, Chelsea drew 1-1 with the opponent.

The FA Cup match would require a replay, adding new burdens to Chelsea.

Post-match press conference.

Mourinho faced special attention from the reporters.

”Mr. Mourinho, can you tell us why Kevin wasn’t brought on? Is there some conflict between you two?”

”Without Kevin, Chelsea couldn’t even beat a League One team; does this mean Chelsea has a Kevin dependency syndrome?”

”This season, Chelsea is fighting on four fronts; are you considering strategically giving up one or two trophies?”

”In the next match against Manchester United, will Kevin be back in the starting lineup?”

”The winter break has begun; it’s said you’re getting close to Robin van Persie, are you planning to bring him to Stamford Bridge?”

As for Southend United’s coach, no one cared.

Fleet Street would never bother to interview a League One coach unless that coach decided to streak during the match.

Once the reporters finished their questions, the scene quieted down.

Only then did Mourinho pull the microphone towards himself, fiercely gesturing his index finger at the reporters below and said: ”I don’t know if your memories are failing you. I’ve said that Chelsea players are affected by injuries and too many matches impacting their physical state. Recently, we indeed drew two matches, and coincidentally Kevin didn’t play in those two, but this doesn’t mean we have some nonsense Kevin dependency syndrome. Who invented that term? Is there any medical basis for it? Can I find it on ’The Lancet’? We are a team, a team with its own playing style!”

The reporters below were somewhat disdainful.

How about you don’t play Kevin against Manchester United, then?

”Jose, will you tell us if Kevin will start in the next match?”

”I won’t disclose team tactics or starting line-ups in advance, so I won’t answer this question. As for your transfer-related questions, it’s the same, I won’t discuss players before they’ve been unveiled. Robin van Persie is an outstanding lad, but he’s currently an Arsenal player.” Mourinho said.

”Then in today’s match, where do you think was the biggest issue for Chelsea not being able to win?”

A reporter asked.

”Issue?”

Mourinho sneered: ”Since you’ve asked, I’ll tell you, the biggest issue was the refereeing. At the start of the second half, Joe Cole fell inside the opponent’s penalty box, and we didn’t get a penalty, and their stoppage-time equalizing goal hit their player’s arm, but the referee didn’t cancel the goal. I always feel like some people don’t want Chelsea to win.”
