After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Later.

The dining table was set with a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine.

Since there were no British people, there were no British dishes either.

While other leagues were on break, the Premier League was still ongoing, and the viewership had increased significantly.

Just after 5 p.m., Arsenal was set to play against Villa.

They watched the match.

It was a match where both teams played well in different halves.

Denilson and Diaby scored in the first half, while Gareth Barry and Knight equalized in the second half.

”Arsenal seems to be running out of steam.”

Inzaghi commented while snacking.

”It’s because there are no substitutes available.”

Ramos said.

Arsenal had one less person on the bench today compared to Villa.

”Arsenal’s lineup doesn’t seem bad.”

Kaka looked at the bench and said, ”I’ve heard of Carlos Vela for a long time, he’s quite famous, and Wilshere and Ramsey on the bench are also well-known.”

”Who knows.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

On paper, Arsenal indeed doesn’t look bad.

It’s just that the young players haven’t performed yet.

When Arsenal needed them, they couldn’t deliver enough performance.

If there was someone like Ramsey running throughout Wales, Arsenal wouldn’t have conceded twice to Villa.

”There are ladies at the table, can we talk about something other than football?”

Beatrice said.

”When are you getting married?”

Huang Kaiwen asked curiously.

”Next summer.” Beatrice gave Huang Kaiwen a wistful look.

She originally wanted to marry Kaka this summer.

But unfortunately, Huang Kaiwen was preparing for the Olympics, and Kaka postponed the wedding.

”That’s not bad either.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Inzaghi switched the channel, and it was the UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw.

Who knows what UEFA was thinking, putting the draw on Christmas this year.

Though Beatrice suggested talking about something else, the Champions League draw caught everyone’s attention.

When it came to Milan, Real Madrid’s ball was drawn.

”Hahaha, they’re doomed.”

Inzaghi said with a laugh, ”Too bad you can’t draw Juventus.”

Inzaghi wanted to see Buffon’s joke, as that bastard got involved with his ex-girlfriend Seredova, and they’re allegedly planning to get married. Unfortunately, Juventus and Chelsea both topped their groups, so they couldn’t face each other.

”Don’t say that, Real Madrid is still very strong.”

Kaka advised, glancing at Huang Kaiwen.

Having drawn Real Madrid, he needed to prepare well.

Facing this team, he would not hold back.

Chelsea’s opponent was finally drawn to be Lyon from Ligue 1.

Barca against Arsenal, Manchester United against Inter Milan, Bayern against Rome, Porto against Atletico Madrid, all these were high-profile matches.

Juventus drew Sporting Lisbon, which was fortunate as Sporting was the weakest team in the second group.

Liverpool also had a good draw.

Villarreal was not an easy opponent, but their coach Pellegrini was the difficult part. Since he left, the Yellow Submarine’s performance had decreased significantly, and their group advancement was purely due to luck. It’s hard for this team to pose any threat to Liverpool.

”We got lucky.”

Mata said with a smile.

”Don’t underestimate Lyon; they are not simple.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

This is what you’d call a Real Madrid nemesis.

”It feels like you’re being sarcastic.”

Inzaghi looked at Huang Kaiwen and said.

”Believe it or not.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

After dinner, Huang Kaiwen brought out the mahjong table for a lesson on this national game.

Even the NBA players play mahjong before the game; the football world mustn’t lag behind.

While households were immersed in the festive spirit, Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas was somewhere between East England and Lincolnshire in The Wash.

Boas, dressed in a black wool coat and wearing a black hat, had a scarf wrapped around his face, and carried a huge backpack filled with various items.

The weight was apparent, with the straps tightly pressing into Boas’s shoulders.

This place was rumored to be the treasure site of the inept John I.

Over the years, many treasure hunters had been here, but none had found anything.

Historians believe that the treasure was a lie fabricated by King John to deter greedy nobles from eyeing his riches.

After all, he was reputed as the most incompetent king in England’s history.

However, Boas thought differently.

Back when the Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Hugues de Payens, recruited new knights in Great Britain, he received generous donations from European monarchs and nobles along the way.

But data-analysis-savvy Boas noticed a critical issue.

The wealth Payens brought back and what he received had a significant discrepancy.

Boas believed that the Knights Templar Grand Master had hidden part of the wealth somewhere, coincidentally during King John’s reign, which aligned with the time Hugues de Payens recruited knights in Great Britain.

So, Boas had reason to believe that The Wash was Payens’s hiding place for the treasure.

When the Knights Templar was destroyed, they should have hidden treasure there once again.

As for other well-known legends, like the treasure being buried in the south of France in the Provence region near Boniak Village’s Rosslyn Vale or transported to Scotland and Portugal for burial, Boas believed those were smokescreens by the Knights Templar to mislead those coveting their treasures.

After investigating The Wash for half a day, Boas saw many traces left by treasure hunters.

Boas couldn’t help shaking his head.

The Wash’s terrain had changed significantly, filled with silt carried by rivers, so some places that seemed like treasure sites were all post-13th century.
