After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Huang Kaiwen clapped towards the stands as he walked to the sideline, took a towel and a water bottle from Capello after high-fiving Sneijder, and sat down on the bench.

”So, Captain, you’re back?”

Cassano raised an eyebrow and said.

”What’s all this ’real captain’ and ’fake captain’ talk?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

”When you speak, Raul doesn’t object, when Raul speaks, Fabio might object, but when you speak, Fabio won’t object. See, isn’t this the status a true Real Madrid captain should have, right?”

Cassano asked.

”What a mess. Don’t talk nonsense. Watch the game; if we get caught laughing on the bench and it gets photographed, it will make the newspapers,”

Huang Kaiwen said.

Cassano was right, but the Yellow Ball King would never admit it.

Everyone is a player, and there shouldn’t be distinctions of high or low, noble or ignoble. That would be a matter of class and privilege, and that’s not correct.

Cassano didn’t know where he got them, but he handed Huang Kaiwen a handful of sunflower seeds, and Huang Kaiwen joined in eating them.

Real Madrid had long had this tradition; Ronaldo and the others often ate sunflower seeds on the bench.

After Huang Kaiwen left the field, Atletico Madrid’s offense gradually started to come together, organizing several attacks that were all just a little short.

In the 82nd minute, Real Madrid counter-attacked, and Robben’s inside shot from the front field was blocked by Franco out of bounds.

Guti took the corner kick, and in the ensuing scramble in the box, Lopez took the opportunity to poke the ball out, and Maniche took the ball and drove forward, triggering a counterattack. Robben, fast from the right flank, visibly closed the distance between him and Maniche.

The Meringues generously cheered for Robben; the noble Real Madrid needed artists like Kevin who could score goals, and naturally also defensive wingers who could track back.

Just as the distance between the two shrank to a matter of centimeters, Robben suddenly lunged forward, his sliding tackle hitting the back of Maniche’s heel, sending Maniche to the ground.

Robben was sent off with a second yellow card turning to red, and Maniche was carried off the field on a stretcher.

”Head back to the locker room and wait for a while, you did well today,”

Capello handed Robben a towel and said, wrapping an arm around the Dutchman and leading him through the players’ tunnel.

Back in the tunnel, there was not a trace of dejection on Robben’s face. From the coach’s attitude, he knew he was now one of their own!

Last month, he had married his childhood sweetheart, and it was the perfect time to go back to the locker room to ask his wife what gift would be appropriate for tomorrow’s visit to Kevin’s house.

In the final stage of the match, Raúl García managed to score another goal off a corner kick, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome of Atletico Madrid’s loss.

...

After the game, Huang Kaiwen and Capello appeared at the press conference together.

Atletico Madrid’s coach Aguirre said angrily, ”Today’s match was a dirty game. Real Madrid’s players turned the pitch into a battleground. My players were continuously fouled. That new Dutch guy who’s supposedly a winger? I think he’s more of a full-back like Ramos! The Royal Spanish Football Federation must take strict action against Robben!”

”Heh.”

Capello snorted coldly and said, ”Today at Bernabéu Stadium, we caught a few South Koreans who were disrespecting the local beliefs and organizing witchcraft activities. According to what they disclosed, they have seen this coach from Mexico before.”

”Impossible, it was the assistant coach who...”

Aguirre, wiping sweat from his forehead, said, ”I’m not feeling well, I must leave the press conference early.”

”Carlo, are you serious?”

”Mr. Capello, what’s your opinion on Robben’s performance today?”

”Tell us your thoughts on the new season, Kevin.”

”Kevin, do you think Real Madrid can defend their UEFA Champions League title? Will the hefty salary of 35 million Euros bring pressure?”

Capello slammed his hand down on the table and chastised, ”Your questions are wrong. Here you need to show some respect. Kevin has won three Champions League titles, consecutively for three years, so don’t ask about some damn 35 million Euros salary. Kevin’s performance is worth every penny of his salary!”

The room went quiet.

Huang Kaiwen pulled the microphone closer and said, ”I never feel pressure. The expectations of the fans and the team only drive me, so such questions are meaningless. Our new teammates have integrated well into the team. Aryang is an outstanding player; he’s definitely not a bad guy. He just got too excited in his first match for Real Madrid. His ability to cut in is very rare in football; we need to give talented players a chance.”

Huang Kaiwen stood up after speaking, and Capello followed suit and left the press conference.

It was past nine when the match ended; since Huang Kaiwen didn’t organize any activities, the Real Madrid players went home to eat seafood rice on their own.

Huang Kaiwen had seafood rice made by a Latin diva.

The meal lasted several hours.

Early the next morning, Robben and his wife, armed with their best bottle of French wine, got dressed and set off for Huang Kaiwen’s house; the wine was a gift they received last month at their wedding.

Once the couple arrived,

They were led inside by the butler Albert.

The old butler woke Huang Kaiwen up.

After a quick wash and change of clothes, Huang Kaiwen came downstairs to greet Robben and his wife.

After touring the house for a while, Robben asked, ”Kevin, do you still play tennis?”

”A little,”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Robben said excitedly, ”That’s great! The others haven’t arrived yet. How about we play for a bit? I used to play a lot of tennis when I was younger to improve my fitness.”
