After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

”All of you will be removed from your positions, and once it’s revealed that AC Milan Club was involved, you must cry and apologize on TV,” Huang Kaiwen said.

”Understood. Once Milan is exposed, I’ll earnestly apologize to fans worldwide, and request that the football association severely punish AC Milan. Then, we’ll have the newspapers report on our sincere attitude and suggest leniency,”

the young lady said with a smile.

Huang Kaiwen gave a thumbs-up, truly worthy of having read ”The Art of War” by Sun Tzu and ”The Thirty-Six Stratagems.” She had quickly thought of a way to stealthily alter the situation.

Receiving Huang Kaiwen’s approval,

the young lady’s thoughts became clearer. As she paced in the living room, she said, ”Now, I will have familiar reporters pin everything on Gagliani, exaggerate as much as possible—a bigger story is better. By then, even the fans won’t believe that Milan did so many things. Instead, they’ll feel that Juventus is just trying to divert attention and drag AC Milan down with them, and they’ll end up sympathizing with AC Milan.”

Wow!

Huang Kaiwen’s eyes widened, thinking that she had really grasped the art of manipulating public opinion.

”But doing so, won’t we let Gagliani off too easily? With these preparations, once his issues are exposed, the Italian public might actually think Gagliani didn’t do anything wrong,” the young lady immediately continued, ”Got it! I’ll have him flee to the United States, then divert the plane directly to Iraq. Send him there to be a mercenary and contribute to the freedom of the Third World.”

Huang Kaiwen: ...

”Forget it,”

Huang Kaiwen, rubbing his temples, advised, ”He’s already quite old. Even if there is no merit, there’s still hard work. Let’s not be too hard on him. Later, we can make him sign a shady contract. He’ll sign a long-term deal without knowing, and play the role of the Milan mascot at every home game.”

”Darling, you’re just too soft-hearted. He was even contemplating breaking the contract with you, yet you still want to offer him a job,”

the young lady said, visibly moved.

”Can’t help it, I just can’t stand to see others suffer,”

Huang Kaiwen said with a shrug.

Whether being a mascot was a good job, Huang Kaiwen wasn’t sure.

The young lady was a person of swift action. Having discussed their next move, she immediately put on makeup and went to the team, holding a press conference at San Siro that afternoon.

On television,

Barbara’s mental state obviously wasn’t great.

All thanks to makeup.

Barbara said to the reporters: ”Italian football has never been a pool of clear water. As early as 80 years ago, there was the Alemanni bribery case. AC Milan deliberately sold its goal difference to Lazio when facing relegation, and the club was also previously caught in an accounting fraud with Inter Milan. So, it’s hard for me to believe in the club’s stance in this. As one of the best clubs in the world and the most successful team in Serie A, we must be responsible to Italian football and fans worldwide.

As the club’s CEO, I’ve already communicated (controlled) with most of the club’s senior management. After our discussions, we’ve decided to temporarily remove Vice President Gagliani and some of the club officials from their positions, and we welcome anyone to report on AC Milan Club. If it is verified that AC Milan participated in manipulating referees and matches, we are willing to accept all penalties.”

Watching the live TV broadcast, Huang Kaiwen couldn’t help but be impressed.

Even at this time, the young lady didn’t forget to drag Inter Milan down with them.

Inter Milan’s exposed scandals over the years were far more numerous than AC Milan’s. Moratti had a pile of shady operations, and their public image was too poor.

When Milan and Inter were both brought up, everyone would subconsciously think Inter’s issues were bigger.

Once the fans see it, if AC Milan could possibly manipulate matches, then how could Inter Milan, with their fake passports, accounting fraud, illegal eavesdropping, and hiring witches to curse rival players, have a clean slate?

One can say it started with self-exposure.

The future of AC Milan was gradually becoming clearer.

Inside there’s Gagliani taking the fall,

outside there are Juventus’s number one villain Moggi and neighbor Inter Milan sharing the blame with the city of Milan.

It seemed like a dangerous scandal, but the outcome was already predetermined.

Huang Kaiwen wouldn’t be surprised if AC Milan’s punishment this time was lighter than in his previous life.

After all, punishment is very flexible and also dependent on Italian public opinion.

As long as most fans sympathize with AC Milan, the punishment they receive will definitely be reduced substantially.

Having the young lady state her position in advance was indeed a clever move.

Sadly, Be didn’t think so.

That evening, Barbara was called back home.

The father-daughter talk probably won’t be pleasant.

But Huang Kaiwen wasn’t worried at all.

Everything that would follow would prove just how wise a manager Barbara was. She prepared so much, all to give the young lady a boost, to gain an advantage in the succession rights.

April 24.

Huang Kaiwen woke up early once again to read the newspaper.

Boy oh boy.

There were already Juventus players’ agents looking for new clubs for their clients.

”Milan Sports Newspaper” even speculated that the elusive Milan City serial killer might be a former AC Milan senior executive, basically describing all his traits, just short of pointing directly at Gagliani as the culprit.

”Turin Sport Report” wrote that Gagliani could have profited over a hundred million Euros from AC Milan’s transfers over the past 20 years, and that he skimmed club commissions and agent kickbacks through his influence in South America and Eastern Europe.

”Corriere dello Sport” claimed that, in the past 20 years, Gagliani and a gaming company manipulated the outcomes of over 500 matches, with Gagliani’s cut exceeding 2 billion dollars, all deposited in a Swiss Bank.
