Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 1241: Chapter 1240 What are you thinking about?

When Tang Mu finished bathing, she emerged as if a lotus rising from the water.

Her face still wore a faint blush, having overheard the entire conversation between Lin Dong and Su Mei.

It was as if she had confessed her love to Lin Dong.

As Lin Dong looked at Tang Mu, he couldn’t help but recall the scenes from their past.

At the school gate, under the camphor tree, their first encounter.

Back then, the two of them, one was a naive fifteen-year-old boy, the other, a blooming sixteen-year-old girl.

Lin Dong, shorter than Tang Mu at the time, stood at the school gate holding a snake skin bag, timid and shy.

Tang Mu flashed him a smile and asked, ”Classmate, are you a freshman too?”

Lin Dong remembered that first time he saw Tang Mu in a princess dress, looking so beautiful, he blushed in an instant.

He nodded, without saying a word.

”I’m a freshman too, my name is Tang Mu. What about you?”

His face turned red as he answered, ”Lin Dong.”

”Hehe, nice to meet you.” Tang Mu didn’t know why, but upon seeing him for the first time, she felt compelled to greet him.

In a crowd of faces, amid the multitude, it was with you that she made acquaintance at first sight.

The second time they met was in Class 8.

Seeing him there, Tang Mu’s eyes shone with surprise, ”Us, in the same class? That’s such a coincidence... We must be fated.”

Lin Dong blushed again, yes, they seemed indeed fated.

Acquaintances from their first meeting, classmates upon their second.

And the connection was even more indescribable; for the next three years, not only were they classmates, but they were also desk mates.

Countless moments of their naive youth now surfaced in both their minds simultaneously.

He remembered her warm smiles that comforted his lonely heart time after time.

She remembered, time and again, his resolute figure standing protectively before her.

With her smile, she healed the loneliness of the boy who lost his mother.

And he, though not much of a talker, imprinted himself in her heart with every protective stance he took for her.

Who says young boys don’t understand affection?

And who claims young girls can’t feel shyness?

”Lin Dong, that first day under the camphor tree when I saw you, it seems like it was only yesterday...” Tang Mu murmured.

Lin Dong nodded, feeling the same way.

If only life were as beautiful as the first encounter, what sorrow would the autumn winds bring to a painted fan.

”Cough cough...” Right then, Su Mei coughed, instantly shattering the romantic atmosphere.

”That, I’m going to take a shower. I’ll leave this place to you, is an hour enough?”

Tang Mu’s face turned red, and she rolled her eyes, ”Su Mei, what are you thinking? Hurry up and take your shower.”

”I’ll go right away.” Su Mei quickly grabbed a set of clothes and entered the bathroom, leaving the room to Lin Dong and Tang Mu.

Before leaving, she muttered, ”An hour should be enough, right?”

Tang Mu, Lin Dong: ”...”

After Su Mei entered the bathroom to take her shower, only the two of them remained.

The atmosphere became awkward.

Tang Mu’s cheeks were flushed as she sneakily glanced at Lin Dong.

Lin Dong cleared his throat with a cough, breaking the silence.

He couldn’t help asking curiously, ”By the way, Tang Mu, there’s been something I’ve always wondered about.”

”Oh? What’s that?”

”Our first meeting, why did you single me out to greet?”

Tang Mu pondered for a moment, her face blushing as she spoke softly, ”Because that day, though you were dressed simply, your face was pure. The sun shone through the leaves under the camphor tree, casting a glow upon you. You... had light in my eyes.”

”At that time, I was thinking that I wanted to get to know you.”

Sometimes, fate is just that miraculous.

Tang Mu walked towards Lin Dong and then caressed his face, looking closely at Lin Dong’s features.

”You’re still the Lin Dong I remember. Perhaps I fell in love with you at first sight when I met you,” Tang Mu confessed her love to Lin Dong with such boldness for the first time.

Lin Dong could no longer restrain himself and pulled her into his embrace.

”Tang Mu, I don’t care about whether it’s destiny or not, from now on, I just want you by my side, to be my woman,” Lin Dong said emphatically.

Tang Mu, held in Lin Dong’s arms, trembled violently. She had been waiting for these words for a very, very long time.

Those whispers in dreams, those countless nights of longing, those endless days of waiting; at this moment, it was all worth it.

She wept with joy, her voice trembling:

”When spring days abound, apricot blossoms fill my hair.

Who is that young lad in the lane, so debonair?

I wish to give myself to him, and for life, I’d care.

Even if heartlessly abandoned, I shall not despair.”

While the two were embraced, pouring out their hearts to each other, Su Mei eavesdropped from the bathroom corner.

The door was slightly ajar, Su Mei felt anxious for them.

”Why are they reciting poetry now? Just kiss already, kiss...” she murmured.

Though her voice was soft, Lin Dong and Tang Mu heard her, and both turned to look towards the bathroom door, noticing the crack.

In that crack, they saw the spying eyes.

Six eyes met, and Su Mei was embarrassed.

She hastily shut the bathroom door and then, patting her heaving chest, called out loudly, ”I’m really taking a shower this time, do whatever you want out there, don’t mind me. I won’t peek anymore.”

Lin Dong and Tang Mu’s mouths twitched at the corners, thankful that they hadn’t done anything just yet, otherwise, Su Mei would have really seen it.

But they hadn’t decided to do anything yet.

In such an environment, they naturally were not in the mood for more intimate gestures.

They just held each other, quietly feeling the warmth between them, she listened to his heartbeat, while he gently stroked her hair.

After a while, Su Mei finally finished showering.

She opened the door and pouted, ”No way? I’ve seen in TV series that at times like this, the male lead and the female lead must passionately kiss, and then like dry wood meeting a fierce fire...”

”How come when it’s you guys, you’re just holding each other and not doing anything?”

Su Mei was confused, grumbling to herself.

Tang Mu rolled her eyes at her, ”What do you expect us to do?”

”At least kiss,” Su Mei said.

”I’m too lazy to care about you,” Tang Mu rolled her eyes again, mocking Su Mei who, never having been in love herself, seemed to know all about it.

Lin Dong also felt awkward. Has Su Mei watched too many idol dramas?

Is it necessary that a man and woman must kiss after expressing their love for each other?

And must they engage in even more intimate acts?

Can’t they just hold each other and talk?

At that moment, Su Mei came up with another thought.

”That... there’s only one bed here. Tonight, how will the three of us sleep?” she asked.

As soon as she said it, both Lin Dong and Tang Mu were taken aback, Lin Dong hadn’t even considered this problem before.

”How about I sleep on the floor, and the two of you share the bed?” Su Mei smirked, suggesting to Lin Dong and Tang Mu.

At the end, she added, ”I sleep very deeply, so you don’t have to worry about me at night. Whatever you do, I won’t hear it.”

”Pfft–” At her words, both Lin Dong and Tang Mu almost spat blood.

What exactly was going through Su Mei’s mind?
