Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 993: Chapter 992: Who Sets Up Whom?

”What do you mean?”

Zhao Donglai couldn’t understand. Was this Yan Yu actually saying that he wanted to make himself into a puppet?

He admitted that he had underestimated Yan Yu before, but that didn’t give Yan Yu the capital to be arrogant.

Although Yan Yu had the strength of a Half-Step Earth Realm martial artist and had received his acknowledgment, Zhao Donglai, it didn’t mean that he could say he wanted to make Zhao Donglai his puppet.

Yan Yu smiled and, ignoring Zhao Donglai, spoke to the air:

”Big senior brother, make your move!”

No sooner had his voice faded than another person appeared in the hall of the manor, which had only held two people. Zhao Donglai swore that it was the ugliest person he had ever seen.

It was clearly one person, yet it was a two-faced individual.

One half of the face was that of a man, and the other half that of a woman.

”You... who are you?”

Seeing this person, Zhao Donglai felt an inexplicable sense of unease arise within him, sensing danger emanating from them.

Taotie ignored him and started walking towards him, step by step.

Zhao Donglai quickly tried to use his Inner Qi, preparing to flee.

But to his horror, he found that he couldn’t mobilize his Inner Qi at all.

”What’s going on? What is all this?”

Zhao Donglai was shocked to discover that he was unable to use his Inner Qi.

”Don’t bother, you’ve been hit with ’Divine Destruction’!” Yan Yu said with a light laugh.

”Divine Destruction? What is that?” Zhao Donglai was astonished.

Yan Yu didn’t answer him, but instead, his body shot forward, arriving in front of Zhao Donglai, then grabbed his throat with a sneer, ”You don’t need to know. All you need to know is that from now on, you are my puppet. When I tell you to kneel, you must kneel!”

Zhao Donglai was terrified, ”Yan Yu, let... let me go!”

”Hahaha... Zhao Donglai, beg me. Kneel down and beg me, hahaha... Didn’t you say I’m unworthy?” The distorted face of Yan Yu laughed wildly.

Zhao Donglai was being held by Yan Yu like a dead dog.

But Zhao Donglai, the third on the Dragon Ranking, still had his own consciousness, and naturally, he did not kneel.

A martial artist’s pride, he still had some!

Taotie had by now come up to Zhao Donglai and began inscribing ’Spells’ on his body, which were used to control him.

It was like Western Witchcraft, the Spells of the Dragon Country!

About half an hour later, Zhao Donglai’s body was full of strange spells.

Taotie taught Yan Yu to recite those odd spells.

And with the spells’ effects, Zhao Donglai’s eyes gradually lost their rationality, replaced by a look of confusion.

Zhao Donglai gradually lost his reasoning and became a lifeless puppet.

Yan Yu then let him go.

The first thing he did after letting go was to recite the spell and take control of Zhao Donglai.

”Zhao Donglai, kneel before me!”

”Yes!” Zhao Donglai mechanically replied and without any hesitation immediately knelt down with a ’thud’.

Seeing Zhao Donglai kneeling at his feet, Yan Yu felt a surge of vengeful satisfaction within him.

He laughed hysterically:

”Zhao Donglai, this is the consequence of you looking down on me, Yan Yu!”

Controlling Zhao Donglai was purely Yan Yu’s revenge.

Seeing such a third junior brother, Taotie couldn’t help but say, ”Third junior brother, let’s have a good discussion next on how to deal with that Master Lin.”

Yan Yu nodded and pondered, ”Eldest senior brother, let us directly use the reputation of Zhao Donglai to issue a letter of challenge to Lin Dong!”

”Since that Master Lin once killed the son of Zhao Donglai, surely Master Lin will have to accept the challenge!”

”Then we lay the ’Divine Destruction’ spell in the air in advance. As long as Master Lin comes, we can ensure he will not return!”

There was no need for a more intricate setup.

Just like that, plain and simple, Yan Yu believed that it would be enough to ensnare Master Lin.

Taotie nodded, ”I am now very curious about what kind of strength that Master Lin actually has.”

He now hoped that the stronger Master Lin was, the better.

When the time came, once they controlled Master Lin, the greater the help it would be for them.

That day.

Yan Yu made ’Zhao Donglai’ send a letter of challenge to Lin Dong.

”Master Lin, you killed my son Zhao Donglai. Our enmity is irreconcilable! After three days, I challenge you to a battle in the ’Ten Mile Bamboo Forest.’ Do you dare to come and fight?”

After the letter of challenge reached Lin Dong’s hands, everyone from Longmen gathered to discuss.

”What’s this Zhao Donglai getting involved for now?”

Everyone was somewhat puzzled, not expecting Zhao Donglai to suddenly appear and issue a challenge to Lin Dong.

Ye Xiong speculated, ”Could it be that Zhao Donglai has reached Cooperation with Yan Yu and their so-called challenge is actually a Hongmen Banquet?”

”That’s possible,” Long Ying nodded, fully agreeing with what Ye Xiong had said.

Lin Dong also nodded, suspecting that this might be the case.

Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain Zhao Donglai’s challenge.

Previously, after Lin Dong had killed his son, Zhao Donglai, in order to survive, didn’t even dare utter a harsh word. Now he actually had the courage to challenge Lin Dong, which clearly seemed abnormal.

It was very likely that he had reached an alliance with Yan Yu.

”So, about this Hongmen Banquet, do we go or not?” Ye Xiong asked, unsure.

Lin Dong pondered; going would obviously be falling into their trap.

But not going was certainly not in Lin Dong’s nature either.

Moreover, Lin Dong wanted to use this opportunity to lay his own plans.

”Of course we must go, but we have to plan thoroughly. We must uproot Yan Yu completely!” Lin Dong murmured, supporting his chin with his hand.

The challenge was in three days.

During these three days, Lin Dong needed to plan carefully.

He replied with the word ’Accept’ to Zhao Donglai and had someone send it back to him.

After Zhao Donglai received the acceptance of the challenge, Yan Yu and Taotie began discussing anew.

”That Master Lin has indeed agreed!” Taotie Laughingly Said, ”Third junior brother, you really understand him.”

Yan Yu smiled slightly. He had been studying Master Lin for some time and naturally knew he would agree.

But at the same time, he was also somewhat concerned.

”He is meticulous in his actions. Since he has agreed, he must be prepared.”

”Hahaha...” Taotie didn’t take it to heart, ”No matter his preparations, unless he is immune to the Divine Destruction poison, the moment he comes, he will definitely be under our control!”

”From then on, he will become my Puppet!”

”Let’s hope so.”

...

Meanwhile, on the other side, after Lin Dong had accepted Zhao Donglai’s challenge, he took out his phone.

In his phone, there were many people’s contact information.

He first contacted the Dragon King War God.

”You, Kid, are actually making a call to me. What’s up, have you seen the light? Are you willing to join the Dragon Group?” The Dragon King War God laughed boisterously on the other end of the phone.

Lin Dong pondered for a moment, then shook his head and said, ”No, Dragon King War God, it’s another matter I want to discuss with you!”

”Does it have to do with the time you were poisoned?”

”What?” The Dragon King War God furrowed his brow and asked in a grave voice, ”What’s going on?”

”Can you come to Demon City once? It would be best if you bring more War Department Masters!”

”Okay,” the Dragon King War God agreed without much hesitation.

Of course, he didn’t ask for details over the phone.

After hanging up the phone, Lin Dong then made a second call.

The second call was to a Dragon Ranking expert he had befriended during the Battle at Imperial Mountain.

It was the number seven expert in the Dragon Rankings, the foremost master of Southwest spells, Zhang Tianjue.

Once the call connected, a confused voice came from the other side.

”Is that Master Lin?” He was puzzled that Master Lin was actually contacting him.

Lin Dong nodded and began to speak:

”Yes, it’s me.”

”Haha, Master Lin, you’ve actually taken the initiative to contact me. Is there something you need?” Zhang Tianjue asked laughingly on the other end.

Lin Dong pondered for a moment, then said, ”Senior Zhang Tianjue, could you do a younger generation a favor?”

Zhang Tianjue was even more curious, ”Master Lin, what favor?”

”Could you possibly come to Demon City? I’ll explain more once you’re here.”

Considering for a moment on the other end, he nonetheless agreed promptly.

”Okay, I’ll come to Demon City immediately!”
