Chapter 617: Chapter 617 Resignation

Li Qingcheng, this woman, was simply too enchanting; even Lin Dong couldn’t withstand her allure.

”Giggle, what’s the matter, are you scared?”

Li Qingcheng toyed with Lin Dong’s chin, giggling playfully.

Lin Dong had been teased by her for so long, that even a clay Bodhisattva would have been set ablaze, let alone a man full of youthful spirit.

He immediately turned his hands around to embrace her, setting her atop the table.

”If you keep tempting me, I’m going to have my way with you right here,” Lin Dong said, his eyes blazing with fire.

”Giggle, is that so?” Li Qingcheng was not afraid at all and continued to tease her.

Just when Lin Dong was about to lay his hands on her, there came a knocking at the door.

”Who is it?” Li Qingcheng called out loudly.

”President Liu, it’s me,” answered the person outside, who was Li Qingcheng’s secretary.

”What’s the matter?” Li Qingcheng inquired.

”President Liu, wealthy Mr. Shen has come to visit you. He’s currently downstairs.”

It turned out to be Shen Yun who had come.

With a flirtatious smile, Li Qingcheng looked at Lin Dong and said, ”Shall we have him wait downstairs a bit longer? Continue with us?”

Lin Dong gave her a look; this woman really was a vixen.

An interruption like that had completely broken Lin Dong’s mood.

He let go of Li Qingcheng and straightened out his clothes.

Li Qingcheng also tidied up her attire and then promptly told her secretary outside, ”Okay, please invite President Shen in.”

About two minutes later, Shen Yun entered.

Upon his arrival, Shen Yun handed Lin Dong two Yuan Restoration Pills.

”Mr. Lin Dong, these are two Yuan Restoration Pills!”

After Lin Dong took them, he casually gave them to Li Qingcheng.

Li Qingcheng, holding the pills, looked at Lin Dong with an affectionate gaze.

If Shen Yun hadn’t been there, she might have gone up and kissed Lin Dong right there and then.

After delivering the medicines, Shen Yun then took out a property ownership certificate and keys, among other things.

”Mr. Lin Dong, here are the property ownership certificate and keys of the Capital City courtyard house you required.”

”The house is less than a five-minute walk from the best hospital in the Capital City. It is a three-entry courtyard house and is the most valuable and well-preserved courtyard house nearby!”

”Total value, 2.5 billion...”

Shen Yun handed over the items to Lin Dong, simultaneously describing the details of the courtyard house.

Lin Dong looked over them for a moment and then nodded in acceptance.

Having handed over the Dan medicines and the property certificate, Shen Yun tactfully took his leave.

After he left, Lin Dong also prepared to leave.

However, Li Qingcheng stopped him.

”Why the hurry to leave? Afraid I’ll devour you?” Li Qingcheng said with annoyance.

Lin Dong laughingly said, ”No, it’s just that my hospital has work to do.”

”Okay then, it’s almost Lunar New Year. I guess this’ll be the last time I see you this year. I’ll be going back home to the provincial city for New Year’s at my father’s place,” Li Qingcheng said with a complicated expression.

She hadn’t gone back to the provincial city for Lunar New Year in many years, but this year, because of Lin Dong, she had mended her relationship with her father.

So this year, she had decided to go home for the holidays.

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong also said, ”Send my regards to Uncle Liu.”

”Heehee, Lin Dong, I’ll come find you to pay a New Year’s visit after the holidays, okay?” Li Qingcheng said in a soft voice.

”Okay,” Lin Dong gave her an address, and then left.

Li Qingcheng noted down the address Lin Dong had given her and then turned her attention to the two Yuan Restoration Pills in her hand.

She murmured, ”Lin Dong, you gave me two Yuan Restoration Pills, are you hinting that I should give one to my father? You’re really thoughtful in trying to repair my relationship with him.”

Lin Dong wasn’t one for such careful considerations; this was all in her head.

If he knew what Li Qingcheng was thinking, he’d probably be torn between laughter and tears.

After leaving Qingcheng International, Lin Dong headed to the hospital.

He was going there to discuss his resignation with the hospital president.

Lin Dong’s plan for the next year was to first head to Jiangbei to seek revenge against Chen Beiming. After that, he would search for heavenly and earthly treasures to enhance his strength.

He would not return to Jianghai Renmin Hospital as a doctor!

There simply wasn’t enough time, cultivating took priority.

Soon, he arrived at the hospital and mentioned his intention to the president.

The president, upon learning of Lin Dong’s decision to resign, felt a sense of regret.

But he knew that someone like Lin Dong couldn’t be retained by their hospital.

He was meant for a bigger stage!

”Mr. Lin Dong, with your talent, you indeed deserve a grander stage. Although it’s hard to let go, I can’t force you to stay,”

”How about this, the position of Director of Chinese Medicine Department in our hospital will always be available for you. Whenever you wish to come back, this will always be your home.”

”Thank you,” Lin Dong sincerely said, ”By the way, President, can the announcement of my resignation wait until after the New Year?”

”Of course,” the President nodded.

That day, Lin Dong completed his last day of work at the hospital.

After today, Lin Dong likely wouldn’t come to the hospital again.

In the evening, Lin Dong and Sister Bai Jue returned to Jingzang Linglong District.

He told Sister Bai Jue about his plans for the next year.

Bai Jue hurriedly said, ”Then I’ll resign next year too. Wherever you go, I’ll follow.”

”I’ll be by your side, taking care of you.”

”Okay,”

Lin Dong nodded.

Sister Bai Jue’s personality was different from Qiao Bing’s; Qiao Bing was a workaholic who wanted her career.

Sister Bai Jue, on the other hand, only wished to stay by Lin Dong’s side all the time.

”Dongzi, do you think maybe I can’t get pregnant? Why hasn’t it happened after so long?” Sister Bai Jue said, worried.

Lin Dong was at a loss for words with a smile, ”Of course not, you’re in great health!”

”Then why?” Bai Jue was puzzled.

”This kind of thing, it’s also a matter of probability.”

”Oh, I get it now, it’s just that we haven’t tried enough times,” Bai Jue said before seductively whispering in Lin Dong’s ear, ”Dongzi, I’ve recently learned a new dance. Shall I dance it for you?”

With that, she rushed to the wardrobe, took out a dress and changed into it.

Then she started dancing in front of Lin Dong.

A woman with a Soft Bone Constitution dancing, with one dance she could topple cities, with two dances she could topple nations, and with the third, cities and nations alike would fall.

After watching for a while, Lin Dong found it hard to resist and joined in.

Together with her, they began their own ’dance’.
