Chapter 616: Chapter 616: Giving Oneself to Someone

If it weren’t for the cool-off with Qingye Piaoxue yesterday, Lin Dong would definitely be overwhelmed right now.

He cleared his throat and said, ”Sister Qingcheng, can you please be serious.”

”I’ve always been serious,” Li Qingcheng walked up to Lin Dong, her finger trailing his chin, ”just not serious about a man like you.”

Her words were actually true.

Li Qingcheng was this flirtatious either with women, or, when it came to men, with Lin Dong alone.

Lin Dong felt somewhat overwhelmed. Had their roles as boss and secretary reversed?

It was as if Li Qingcheng was the female boss, and he, the male subordinate ’oppressed’ by her?

”Sister Qingcheng, you must have something to tell me, right? How about we stick to business?” Lin Dong quickly suggested.

Li Qingcheng chuckled and said, ”No rush.”

”Boss, first take a look at the sales report for the Beautifying Powder sold by your personal female secretary ’part-timing’ for you.”

Saying this, Li Qingcheng handed over a report.

Although Lin Dong wasn’t a professional in this area, he still had a general understanding.

He noticed that the sales performance of the Beautifying Powder had declined over the past month.

This was somewhat surprising to Lin Dong.

”Sister Qingcheng, logically speaking, this should be a time of rapid expansion for the Beautifying Powder. Why then has the sales dropped?”

Li Qingcheng slightly furrowed her brows and her face took on a serious expression.

This was the first matter she wanted to discuss with Lin Dong today.

”That’s because someone is ’plagiarizing’ our product and selling it at a lower price. Hence, our Beautifying Powder’s market share has fallen!”

Upon hearing Li Qingcheng’s words, Lin Dong asked in a grave voice, ”Which company is doing this?”

Li Qingcheng handed over another document.

Lin Dong flipped it open and began to read.

It detailed the situation thoroughly.

About half a month ago, a product similar to the Beautifying Powder appeared in the Jiangbei market. Its effects were half as good as the Beautifying Powder’s but still outclassed other cosmetics on the market.

Its pricing, however, was nearly more than half cheaper than that of the Beautifying Powder.

Thus, many people opted to buy that product.

After its release, Li Qingcheng also bought some and analyzed it back at the office.

She found that the product was a complete knockoff of the Beautifying Powder.

The ingredients were identical, but the raw materials were of lower quality. Even lacking some core technologies and the end product being significantly discounted, the effectiveness was still there.

Many people, attracted by the lower price, naturally chose to buy it.

Lin Dong saw that the company copying their Beautifying Powder belonged to the Cosmetic Company of the first family of Jiangbei, the Chen Family.

They were shameless to copy their product, even giving it an almost identical name.

Their product was called ’Whitening Powder,’ missing just one character from the original.

After reading, Lin Dong’s face darkened as he said, ”This Chen Family really has no shame. This is outright plagiarism!”

”Yes, the Chen Group of the Chen Clan of Jiangbei has been engaging in such bottom-lineless activities for years.”

”Many of their companies started by copying and pirating!”

”Be it games, software, cosmetics, clothing, or any hit product, if they set their sights on it, they just blatantly copy it.”

”Backed by strong finances, they often end up taking over the market. It’s a classic case of the bad money driving out the good, pirating their way to killing the originals!”

”This time, we’ve had the misfortune of drawing their attention. Clearly, they intend to kill us just like they did the others.”

Lin Dong’s expression grew even grimmer as he said coldly, ”Can’t market supervision do something about this?”

”What can they do? The Chen Clan of Jiangbei is too powerful; who would dare to intervene?”

”Besides, this kind of thing is all too common in Dragon Country’s business world. It’s beyond control.”

”Lin Dong, what do you think we should do? Just let this go?” Li Qingcheng sighed, looking at Lin Dong.

Lin Dong shook his head and said, ”Let it go? How could we possibly just let this go? I was planning to visit Jiangbei after the Lunar New Year. I’ll deal with this matter then.”

At this, Li Qingcheng’s eyes brightened. She quickly said, ”Then I’ll go with you!”

”Okay,” Lin Dong nodded.

Li Qingcheng then asked, ”How do you plan to handle it?”

”There’s nothing fists can’t solve. If there is, it means your fists aren’t hard enough! Not smashing hard enough!” Lin Dong clenched his fist.

”Alright then.” Li Qingcheng knew just how hard Lin Dong’s fists were.

The Chen Clan of Jiangbei, they had met their match this time.

They had dared to copy from Lin Dong, a fierce god himself.

Hearing that Lin Dong intended to handle the matter personally, Li Qingcheng wasn’t worried at all anymore.

”Boss, there’s another thing I want to ask you,” Li Qingcheng said at this moment.

”What is it?”

Li Qingcheng hesitated a moment before asking, ”The Resuscitating Pill that’s been causing a stir in Jianghai lately, it isn’t something you concocted, is it?”

Lin Dong smiled and nodded, ”Yes, it’s mine!”

Hearing this, Li Qingcheng was stunned for a long time before murmuring, ”One for twenty billion, my god, just how much money do you have now?”

”Not much, not much, just over four thousand billion,” Lin Dong said, waving his hand dismissively.

Over four thousand billion?

Li Qingcheng was completely flabbergasted; how many cosmetics would she have to sell to make that much?

”By the way, Sister Qingcheng, I’ll give you two Yuan Restoration Pills,” Lin Dong said casually.

Li Qingcheng was taken aback before responding incredulously, ”One for twenty billion? You’re just giving them away?”

”What’s the big deal,” Lin Dong waved it off and, right in front of her, made a call to Shen Yun.

To have him send over two Yuan Restoration Pills.

Witnessing this act, Li Qingcheng was so moved that she hugged Lin Dong and gave him a heartfelt kiss.

”Sniff, boss, I’m so touched.”

”I don’t even know how to repay you. How about I offer myself to you as a token of gratitude? How about right now, here in the office?”

With one hand hooked around Lin Dong’s neck, Li Qingcheng spoke in the ultimate enticing manner.
