Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 522: Chapter 522: Do You Still Think Can’t Dismiss You Now?

After he left, quite a few patients pointed at Lin Dong and whispered among themselves.

The tattooed man who had just sought Huang Wende for treatment of male function was even more direct, pointing at Lin Dong and scolding:

”You, kid, are really a busybody!”

”You’ve caused the good doctor to leave, and now he can’t treat everyone anymore.”

At the moment, Lin Dong said to everyone:

”If he doesn’t treat, I’ll treat everyone!”

”Come to me for treatment; there is no need for red packets or gifts.”

But as soon as he said this, everyone was skeptical.

Because Lin Dong was too young, everyone thought his medical skills were not high.

Some even thought he couldn’t cure diseases.

”Your hair isn’t even fully grown, and you’re talking about treating diseases. Can you really do it?” the tattooed man sneered.

However, the old man from just before came up to Lin Dong, gasping for air, and asked:

”Doctor... do you really not charge money for treating us?”

Lin Dong nodded.

”Okay, doctor, please take a look at me.” He believed in Lin Dong.

The way Lin Dong had acted just now made him feel that Lin Dong was a good doctor. Regardless of whether he could be cured or not, he was willing to trust Lin Dong.

Lin Dong examined him and then took out silver needles to give him acupuncture treatment.

”Swish, swish, swish~~~”

This old man’s illness was neither cancer nor something as simple as a cold. It was a moderately serious condition which would be quite expensive and time-consuming to treat in a hospital.

But here with Lin Dong, it was just a matter of a few needles.

Five minutes later, Lin Dong finished the acupuncture.

After the silver needles were removed, the old man couldn’t help exclaiming in surprise:

”This effect is too good; I was gasping for breath just now, feeling very dizzy.”

”But after the doctor’s acupuncture, my head doesn’t feel dizzy at all, and I’m not gasping for breath anymore!”

”The damp chill in my body is gone too, I feel completely warm!!”

Hearing his words, everyone was taken aback with surprise.

Just at that moment, a patient from behind suddenly said:

”Ah, he’s Doctor Lin Dong!”

”I know him, he’s the Director of the Chinese Medicine Department at Jianghai Renmin’s Hospital, don’t let his young appearance fool you, his medical skills are amazing.”

”I even saw him on TV before. He competed in Traditional Chinese Medicine against Elder Wang Taisui and he actually beat Old Wang!”

Wow!!

Hearing this, everyone in the hall was shocked.

No one had expected that Lin Dong, appearing so young, was actually the Director of the Chinese Medicine Department at a Grade III Hospital.

And he had even defeated Elder Wang Taisui!

At that moment, everyone crowded forward, all clamoring for Lin Dong to treat them.

Lin Dong did not refuse any of them.

The tattooed man, upon hearing of Lin Dong’s great reputation, now had a red packet ready, trying to jump the queue.

”So it’s Director Lin Dong! I didn’t recognize you just now, my apologies for the rudeness. Here is a red packet, please accept it and see me first...”

Lin Dong flatly refused: ”Put away your red packet, I’m not going to treat you!”

”Besides, this is a free consultation, no gifts allowed!!”

Hearing this, the tattooed man looked somewhat awkward.

He muttered, ”In this world, there’s actually a doctor who doesn’t take red packets and treats people for free?”

Lin Dong held the free consultation all day before returning to the hospital.

After getting back to the hospital, Huang Wende came right to him.

His panda eyes left from Lin Dong punching him were clearly visible. Now he was covering that eye, showing a pained expression on his face.

When he saw Lin Dong, he couldn’t help but say angrily:

”Lin Dong, I’ve reported the incident of you hitting me to the President. Just wait to be dismissed!”

”To dismiss me? Huang Wende, the person who should be dismissed is you! A person like you without medical ethics, taking red packets everywhere, how do you qualify to be a doctor?” Lin Dong was also angered and retorted.

”Lin Dong, stop acting like you’re such a saint. As a doctor, taking a bit of red packet money, isn’t that very normal?”

”Those who give red packets, they do it voluntarily! If you don’t take it, they’ll feel uneasy, thinking that we, as doctors, won’t treat them well. Only after you take it will they feel at ease!”

Lin Dong coldly said, ”So you think there’s a reason to take red packets?”

Huang Wende spread his hands and said:

”This is just how society operates, it’s just that you, a greenhorn who hasn’t been on the job for long, simply don’t understand!”

”Moreover, can you guarantee that you will never, in your whole life, take red packets?”

”I can guarantee it,” Lin Dong said.

”Pfft~~~” Huang Wende laughed out loud, ”Don’t make such absolute statements!”

”Moreover, even if I take red packets, what’s that to you? What right do you have to hit me?”

Lin Dong shrugged and said, ”I just felt like hitting you, is there a problem?”

”You...” Huang Wende was so choked up that he couldn’t speak, and cursed, ”That’s pure hooliganism, just wait to get dismissed!!!”

”The one who should be worried about dismissal is you,” Lin Dong retorted.

”Pfft~~~” Huang Wende again laughed at Lin Dong’s words, ”How could a mere Director like you dismiss a Vice President like me?”

”You really are a joke!!”

However,

just as he finished his sentence, at that very moment, a voice rang out.

”Vice President, that’s quite some arrogance you have!!”

Hearing the sarcastic tone, Huang Wende turned furiously towards the owner of the voice and bellowed, ”Who is this person looking for death...”

However, as soon as his words ended, he suddenly recognized who the newcomer was.

Instantly, his voice changed, trembling as he said, ”Director Li... why are you here?”

The newcomer was none other than Director Li of the Medical Inspection.

”What am I doing here? I came to the hospital to purge the likes of you who are a detriment to the community!!!”

With those words, he took out a stack of documents, all detailing the facts of Huang Wende taking red packets and kickbacks over the years.

Seeing this, Huang Wende’s face turned pale.

Meanwhile, Lin Dong turned to Huang Wende and asked:

”Huang Wende, do you still think you can’t be dismissed now?”
