Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 521: Chapter 521 My Hand Itches

Having me, Lin Dong, as Huang Wende’s assistant, let’s see if I’m worthy myself.

Lin Dong ignored him and continued to offer free consultations there.

But people are like that, they judge by appearances. The patients, when choosing a doctor, always prefer the older ones.

Even though Lin Dong’s medical arts surpassed Huang Wende’s, no patient sought him out.

On the contrary, there was a constant stream of patients at Huang Wende’s side.

At that moment, an elderly man holding a snake skin bag trembled as he approached. The old man was emaciated, with patched clothes and a pair of worn-out Liberation shoes.

He obviously looked very poor.

”Doctor, I... my body feels cold, and I’m dizzy. Can you... can you check on me?”

The old man humbly asked.

He was too poor; although he was sick, he couldn’t afford to go to the hospital. Hearing that there was a free consultation here, he came to have a look.

However, as soon as he spoke, Huang Wende did not reply, but sat there steadily.

Thinking Huang Wende hadn’t heard him, the old man continued, ”Doctor...”

”Doctor your head, such an old person, you’ve lived for sixty or seventy years, don’t you understand? Coming to see a doctor empty-handed?” A student by Huang Wende’s side said coldly.

Upon hearing this, the old man quickly took out a bag of free-range eggs from his snake skin bag.

”This... these are free-range eggs laid by my hen; I’ve saved them for several months... Doctor, please accept them...”

Having said this, he tried to hand the eggs to Huang Wende.

Huang Wende saw there was some chicken droppings on the eggs, and was instantly disgusted.

”Get that away, get that away, who would want such dirty eggs!” Huang Wende said dissatisfied.

The student beside him was even more disdainful, ”No wonder you’ve lived for sixty or seventy years and still look like this! I really admire you. You come to see a doctor to cure your disease and just bring a few eggs?”

”Which doctor would treat you for just a few eggs?”

”But isn’t this supposed to be a free consultation?” the old man said, his face turning red with embarrassment.

”Making me laugh. Who told you a free consultation means not paying? Isn’t the doctor’s time valuable? Later we will examine you, with instruments too. Starting up our instruments once costs thousands, tens of thousands of pieces. You think ’free consultation’ means you shouldn’t bring anything?”

”Don’t you know to give a red packet? If no red packet, wouldn’t you at least have brought some good wine and good cigarettes?”

”With that head of yours, why bother curing the disease? Better go home and wait for death!”

His words were particularly unpleasant, leaving the old man completely frozen in place, overwhelmed with awkwardness.

Right then, a tattooed man from behind pushed the old man a little.

He then stepped forward and directly handed over a red packet, ”Doctor, please accept this with a smile.”

Huang Wende took the red packet without changing his expression, pinched it, and noticed it was quite thick.

He then smile and said, ”Mister, what sickness do you want to treat?”

The tattooed man cleared his throat and said, ”I... I have a problem down there. Doctor, do you have a cure?”

”Haha, it’s a small matter.” He said enthusiastically as he began to examine the tattooed man.

Meanwhile, the old man on the side was coughing violently, looking particularly uncomfortable, but Huang Wende did not even glance at him.

Lin Dong, watching this unfold, felt a surge of anger.

He abruptly stood up and walked toward Huang Wende’s consultation table.

”Huang Wende, is this how you conduct free consultations? You treat if there’s a red packet, and if not, you don’t treat, is that it?”

Hearing Lin Dong’s words, Huang Wende laughingly said, ”Lin Dong, are you sick? What does it matter to you who I treat?”

Lin Dong walked up to him and said, ”I actually do have a sickness, Vice President Huang; how about you check it out?”

”Haha, Lin Dong, so you really are sick. Considering that we’re colleagues, I’ll make an effort to cure your disease,” Huang Wende laughed hysterically.

He hadn’t expected Lin Dong to actually concede to him, actually asking him to treat the sickness.

He readily agreed, feeling it was a kind of victory.

”Tell me, Lin Dong, what’s your ailment? I must say upfront, whatever your sickness, I can cure it. But once cured, you must kneel and apologize to me!” Huang Wende said.

Without responding, Lin Dong stepped forward and stretched out his hand.

”My hand is uncomfortable?” Lin Dong said.

After looking for a while, Huang Wende asked with suspicion, ”I can’t see anything wrong with your hand?”

The hand Lin Dong had stretched out turned into a clenched fist.

Then he said indifferently, ”My hand is itchy, so would you mind using your shameless thick-skinned face to help scratch it for me?”

After saying this, he landed a punch on his face.

”Ah...” Huang Wende screamed as Lin Dong punched his right eye, causing it to immediately swell and turn into a panda’s eye.

Huang Wende hadn’t expected Lin Dong’s idea of ’curing his sickness’ would turn out like this.

He was immediately filled with rage, saying:

”Lin Dong, you’ve gone too far; do you really think that just because you can fight, you can do whatever you please?”

”This free consultation, dad’s not doing it anymore. I’m going now to the hospital to report to the President.”

”You violently beat your superior leader; just wait to be dismissed!!!”

Having said this, he began to pack up the free consultation materials, preparing to leave.

Lin Dong responded coldly, ”You’re dismissing me? Just wait for your own dismissal!!”

”Okay, let’s see who gets dismissed in the end!” With that, Huang Wende left with a swish of his sleeves.
