Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 218: Chapter 218: Dragon Lord and Long Ying

”Long Ying, who is he? Where is he?”

Facing Lin Dong’s question, Bai Zhonglou pondered for a moment before finally speaking:

”Dragon Lord, before answering this question, please allow me to introduce a bit more about Longmen to you!”

”As I’ve previously mentioned to you, in Longmen, apart from the Dragon Lord, Dragon Country also has eighteen subgangs. And I belong to the Jiangnan Branch!”

”However, our gang leader is not the highest-ranking below the Dragon Lord. The person immediately below the Dragon Lord, is none other than ’Long Ying’!”

”Every generation’s Dragon Lord, after taking office, will select the most outstanding individual within Longmen to become ’Long Ying’. This Long Ying is like the Dragon Lord’s shadow, following the Dragon Lord’s commands!”

”He must unconditionally obey any directive from the Dragon Lord, helping the Dragon Lord with things that are inconvenient to be dealt with personally!”

”Therefore, Dragon Lord, if you wish to understand the affairs of the previous Dragon Lord, then the best candidate to inquire would be the previous Long Ying.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong quickly asked:

”Then, where is he now? I want to meet him.”

Bai Zhonglou gave a slight smile, then said, ”Dragon Lord, if you asked the leaders of other branches, they’d probably be unable to answer you.”

”But since you’re asking me, I actually do know where the previous Long Ying is, it’s just that...”

”Just what?” Seeing Bai Zhonglou hesitating, Lin Dong pressed on eagerly.

”Sigh, Dragon Lord, it’s hard to explain all at once. I’ll take you to see him, and we can talk in detail after you’ve met him,”

Bai Zhonglou sighed as he spoke.

Upon hearing his words, Lin Dong nodded, ”Okay, then take me to see him right now.”

And so, Bai Zhonglou led Lin Dong out of the Bai Family’s residence.

Bai Zhonglou left the driver at home and decided to drive Lin Dong himself.

The situation of the previous Long Ying was quite special; Bai Zhonglou didn’t even tell his son, let alone let the drivers and others know.

Lin Dong sat in the car driven by Bai Zhonglou himself, heading off to find the previous Long Ying.

The car swerved this way and that for close to an hour before finally arriving at a secluded location.

It was a very inconspicuous sanatorium that looked very ordinary; it would be hard for someone to guess that it was a hiding place for the second-in-command of the previous Longmen generation, Long Ying.

The car stopped a good distance away, and the two got out and walked into the hidden sanatorium.

Lin Dong sensed at least eight strong presences lurking in the shadows!

Among them, two were Wushu Experts of the Mystic Realm, Masters of Internal Strength.

The other six were experts of the Gold Realm!

”Those eight people in the shadows, they’re from our Longmen, right?” Lin Dong asked.

”Correct, they are the Martial Artists I’ve arranged in secret to protect Lord Long Ying,” Bai Zhonglou responded.

He was inwardly impressed by the Dragon Lord’s keen perception.

Both of them stepped into the sanatorium and soon were inside.

The sanatorium wasn’t large, and upon entering, Lin Dong found a gaunt old man lying in a room.

Bai Zhonglou pointed to the old man on the bed and said to Lin Dong:

”Dragon Lord, this is the previous generation’s Lord Long Ying!”

Lin Dong hurriedly went over to take his pulse.

It was then he found that this man was like the living dead!

Although he still breathed, he was nearly indistinguishable from a dead person.

”What happened?” Lin Dong frowned and turned to Bai Zhonglou beside him for an explanation.

Bai Zhonglou sighed and explained, ”Dragon Lord, it was a little over three years ago when the previous Long Ying came to me.”

”At that time, he was already afflicted with an extreme poison and could hardly speak!”

”I immediately sought out various Divine Doctors to treat him, but it was all in vain. The illness gradually worsened, and about half a year ago, he became like this, just like a living dead.”

”For the past half year, I’ve arranged for him to be here in this sanatorium, being looked after. I’ve also deployed experts to protect him!”

”At the same time, I’ve brought in several Divine Doctors to help take a look, but not one of them could diagnose exactly what is the matter with Lord Long Ying, let alone how to cure him...”

While listening to Bai Zhonglou, Lin Dong had already begun treating him.

”Oh, I almost forgot, Dragon Lord, you too are a Divine Doctor! You previously cured Old Master Ye and my daughter-in-law!”

It was at this moment Bai Zhonglou remembered Lin Dong was a Divine Doctor, and he was filled with immense surprise.

Lin Dong made a gesture for silence, signaling not to interrupt him.

He needed a very quiet environment when diagnosing tricky patients and didn’t like to be disturbed by other sounds.

Bai Zhonglou immediately ceased speaking!

Lin Dong then started to carefully examine the previous generation’s Long Ying.

Lin Dong observed that the left side of Long Ying’s body was as hot as fire.

As for the right side, it was as cold as ice.

This symptom was truly weird!

Lin Dong pondered for a long time and suddenly remembered something he had read in an ancient medical text.

That text had recorded such a medical case!

Lin Dong hammered his left fist into his right palm and suddenly said:

”I remember now, I know what is wrong with him!”

”He has been poisoned by a Gu, a specific type of poison known as the ’Ice and Fire Gu Toad’!”

Bai Zhonglou’s eyes brightened, and in his surprise, he instinctively asked:

”Dragon Lord, since you’ve diagnosed Lord Long Ying’s illness, do you have a way to cure him?”

If the Dragon Lord could cure the previous Long Ying, then Longmen would gain another expert.

This Lord Long Ying was once among the top ten on the Dragon Ranking!

Moreover, curing Lord Long Ying would also reveal details about the previous Dragon Lord of Longmen.

The previous Dragon Lord of Longmen disappeared more than twenty years ago, and all disciples of Longmen would like to know what exactly happened.
