Chapter 143: Chapter 143: Advanced Study in the Provincial City

Huang Hua was stunned as he looked at Lin Dong, unable to believe that Lin Dong had offended Liu Qingteng and was still unscathed.

Moreover, what he had said earlier about Huang’s Real Estate had actually come true.

Huang’s Real Estate really did go bankrupt, and its Chairwoman, Huang Zhendong—who was a relative from his clan—had now been arrested and made the top news on Jianghai News!

”Doctor Lin Dong, I truly regret not having listened to you in the past,” someone said to Lin Dong, weeping bitterly.

”You weren’t slandering Huang’s Real Estate after all, we wronged you!”

Those people apologized to Lin Dong one after another, filled with regret.

But what use was regret now?

Lin Dong shook his head and didn’t pay them any mind, instead, he went to see his patients.

Just after seeing a patient, a commotion arose within the department: Dean Zhou had arrived.

Dean Zhou gathered all the doctors and nurses from the Department of Cardiology in the meeting room and then announced:

”Our province’s best hospital, Southern Capital Hospital, has given our hospital ten advanced study spots, seven for doctors and three for nurses.”

”I plan to have Qiao Bing, the Director of Cardiology, represent us and lead the team.”

”Oh, and Doctor Lin Dong, you should go along as well...”

When Dean Zhou announced this, it made everyone in the department envious.

Such an opportunity for further study was extremely rare!

Especially to go to Southern Capital Hospital, which was the best hospital in their province and ranked among the top ten in the country.

Going there for further study not only meant acquiring more advanced medical skills, but it also signified being specially nurtured by the hospital.

After the advanced study, one would more often than not receive a promotion and raise!

And being selected by Dean Zhou to go, naturally made Huang Hua and others envious and jealous.

Huang Hua also wanted to go, so after the meeting, he hurried to find his father, Director Huang Wude of Neurosurgery, hoping to secure an advanced study spot.

His father, Huang Wude, nodded and said, ”This advanced study is indeed good, I’ll try to get it for you.”

”Dad, you must get this spot. If Lin Dong goes and I can’t, won’t I be pressed down by him in the future?” Huang Hua said through gritted teeth.

”Okay!”

After all, Huang Wude, as one of the hospital’s elders, did have connections.

By calling in favors and making a Herculean effort, he finally secured an advanced study spot for his son, Huang Hua.

Soon, news about the ten people going to Southern Capital Hospital for advanced study spread throughout the hospital.

Before long, the full list came out!

Leading the team was Qiao Bing, the Director of Cardiology!

In addition to her, from their Department of Cardiology, there was Lin Dong, the resident physician, and Huang Hua, the attending doctor.

There was also Nurse Bai Jue!

The other six individuals, whom Lin Dong did not recognize, were doctors and nurses from other departments.

When Bai Jue found out she too was selected to go for the advanced study in the provincial city’s Southern Capital Hospital, she was overjoyed.

She excitedly came to share the news with Lin Dong.

”Dongzi, I was selected too, so we can go together for the advanced study in the provincial city. You know, I majored in nursing there. I have many classmates and close friends in that city.”

It was clear that Bai Jue was quite eager to go to Southern Capital City!

Lin Dong didn’t really mind, but he was thinking that in seven days he needed to head to Taihu Villa in Southern Provincial Capital City for his battle with Liu Qingshan, so this was conveniently on the way.

”Teacher, the Director is looking for you!” Just at this moment, Tan Ya, Lin Dong’s intern, approached him.

Lin Dong nodded and headed for the Director’s office.

Pushing the door open, Qiao Bing clutched her chest, a look of pain on her face, and said, ”Lin Dong, my illness has flared up, can you help me?”

Lin Dong frowned slightly, unsure what had caused her sudden flare-up.

Still, he nodded and said, ”Director Qiao, take off your clothes and then turn your back to me.”

Qiao Bing efficiently took off her clothing, presenting her flawless, smooth jade back to Lin Dong.

A woman with a Flawless Physique has no need for skincare; born with a radiant appearance, completely without blemishes.

But the downside was that she had to bear the pain of Androphobia while having a Flawless Physique.

Lin Dong sighed softly, quickly took out the Silver Needle, and started the Acupuncture.

”Pfft––” This time her condition seemed especially severe. During Lin Dong’s procedure, she actually coughed up fresh blood.

Lin Dong was taken aback and promptly placed a hand on her back, infusing her with Inner Qi.

Waves of Warm Flow entered Qiao Bing’s body, instantly organizing the chaotic breath within her and gradually soothing the pain in her liver.

After alleviating her pain, Lin Dong then curiously asked, ”Director Qiao, what exactly is going on with you?”

Qiao Bing gave a bitter smile and said, ”I’ve been thinking about my father. He is now in the provincial capital! And he has a new family with that woman!”

”That woman is in Southern Capital Hospital. Going there for the advanced study, I might run into her!”

”When I think about that, my illness flares up!”

”I see,” Lin Dong finally understood the reason.

”Lin Dong, when we go to Southern Provincial Capital City for the advanced study. May I ask you for a favor?” Qiao Bing suddenly asked.

”What is it?” Lin Dong pondered briefly before responding.

”Be my boyfriend...” Just as Qiao Bing’s words finished, Lin Dong’s head buzzed with shock.

”Director Qiao, what are you saying?” Lin Dong asked in disbelief, thinking he had heard wrong.
