Chapter 125: Chapter 125 Don’t be afraid, I’m here

Huang Zicheng actually guessed right.

Even though Lin Dong had stabbed a butterfly knife through Liu Qingteng’s palm, his mind was still fixated on that same thing.

This man had always been lustful, otherwise, he wouldn’t have desired Bai Jue the moment he laid eyes on her, offending Lin Dong in the process.

Now that he heard Qiao Xue was coming to apologize, he naturally wouldn’t pass up the opportunity.

”Let her come in alone, her mother doesn’t need to come,” Liu Qingteng said as he heard that Qiao Xue was coming with her mother, waving his hand dismissively.

Huang Zicheng offered a bitter smile and could only nod helplessly.

Soon he arrived at the hospital’s sickroom door and saw Chu Yunxiu and Qiao Xue, both pale-faced.

Chu Yunxiu quickly asked, ”Huang Shao, how is it? Will Young Master Liu Qingteng agree to see us? Will he accept our apology?”

Huang Zicheng feigned effort and said, ”Originally he was unwilling, but after I pleaded with him for a long time, he finally agreed to give me face. He said he’s willing to see Xiaoxue!”

”Wow, Huang Shao, you are incredible. Unlike that damned Lin Dong, totally useless, only good at causing trouble,” Chu Yunxiu hurriedly said.

Huang Zicheng coughed dryly and gestured for Qiao Xue to enter the sickroom.

Once Qiao Xue entered, Liu Qingteng gazed at her incessantly.

”Truly, the most beautiful CEO in Jianghai, truly pretty, and also possessing a good temperament,” Liu Qingteng’s eyes roamed over Qiao Xue from head to toe and back again, repeatedly expressing his approval after the examination.

Qiao Xue felt uncomfortable under his gaze, but she had no choice but to endure it at this moment.

She hurriedly began to apologize, ”Young Master Liu, I’m sorry, my fiancé inadvertently provoked you. I hope you can be a great person and overlook our petty offenses, and forgive us.”

”I will have Lin Dong come here to apologize to you!”

”Hmph...” Hearing Lin Dong’s name, Liu Qingteng gritted his teeth with hatred and responded with an angry humph, ”Lin Dong has already ruined my palms, and you think an apology will settle it?”

”If you want me to let this go, fine, I have two conditions. Just agree to my two conditions, and all will be well.”

Qiao Xue quickly asked, ”Young Master Liu, what are the two conditions?”

”First, Lin Dong must break his own arms and legs and kneel before me to beg for mercy!”

”Second, you become my woman for three months.”

Whoosh~

Hearing such excessive demands from Liu Qingteng, Qiao Xue naturally refused without any hesitation.

”Young Master Liu, the two conditions you propose are too difficult for us; we cannot agree to them.”

”Can’t agree? Then there’s nothing to discuss! I’ve already made a call to my brother. Lin Dong better prepare for death.”

”As for the Qiao Family, heh, wait for bankruptcy!”

After hearing these words, Qiao Xue’s face turned deathly pale, and then she staggered out of the sickroom, looking utterly devastated.

After she emerged, Chu Yunxiu rushed forward to ask, ”Xiaoxue, how is it? Does Young Master Liu agree to accept our apology?”

Biting her lip, Qiao Xue said bitterly, ”He put forth two conditions...”

After Chu Yunxiu heard the conditions, she also frowned, ”The first one is not a problem, but the second one would greatly harm your reputation.”

”Unless, Young Master Liu agrees to marry you; that might be better...”

Qiao Xue was speechless after hearing her mother’s words.

What kind of thinking was this!

”Mom, neither condition is possible to agree to,” Qiao Xue said decisively.

”But if we don’t agree, our Qiao family might as well wait for bankruptcy,” Chu Yunxiu sighed.

”Even if we face bankruptcy, we can’t agree to such excessive demands. I will think of another way,” Qiao Xue said, preparing to leave the hospital to find someone she knew for help.

Chu Yunxiu followed her out.

Just as they reached the entrance to the hospital, they ran into Lin Dong, who was returning to work.

Immediately, Chu Yunxiu blocked him and scolded, ”Lin Dong, you bastard, look at the mess you’ve made.”

Lin Dong frowned; it had been a long time since he had seen her.

He had no idea where he had offended her.

”Aunty, what do you mean by this?” he asked.

”What do I mean? I’m asking you, who gave you the audacity to lay a finger on Young Master Liu Qingteng? Do you realize he has declared he’ll take revenge on everyone associated with you? Our Qiao family is included.”

”Because of you, Young Master Liu Qingteng is going to bankrupt the Qiao Family!”

Understanding the situation, Lin Dong offered reassurance to a troubled-looking Qiao Xue, ”Qiao Xue, don’t worry. With me here, he can’t touch the Qiao Family.”

”Pfft~~” Chu Yunxiu heard this and spat out a mouthful of saliva in disbelief.

Pointing at Lin Dong, she cursed in outrage, ”Lin Dong, at a time like this you still talk tough. Other than boasting and talking big, what else can you do?”

”You trash, if you have any conscience, you should break your arms and legs yourself and kneel before Young Master Liu Qingteng, begging for his forgiveness. Get him to spare our Qiao Family...”

Seeing her mother get increasingly out of line, to the point of drawing a crowd of onlookers, Qiao Xue couldn’t stand it any longer and hurriedly pulled her away.

However, before leaving, she still turned her head and cautioned Lin Dong:

”Lin Dong, at this point, stop talking big. You’d better run, hide in the countryside, to a place where no one can find you. That way, you might still have a chance to survive...”

After saying this, she hastily led her mother away.

Witnessing this, Lin Dong was also at a loss for words.

A mere Liu Qingteng, worthy of making him hide in the countryside?

Even if his brother Liu Qingshan came in person, Lin Dong wouldn’t have taken him seriously.
