Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1688: Chapter 1020: The Legend of the Celestial Cloud Sword

Kawasaki Jun is quite adept at handling people; he surrendered straightforwardly and even voluntarily provided a clue about the Eight-headed Great Serpent.

This led General Keen to spare his life.

Afterwards, Kawasaki Jun tried various methods to please this White Commander.

Offering women was just one part of the plan.

He carefully selected a group of Japanese women to send to the commander’s bed in hopes of winning his favor.

However, this White Commander was extremely perverted; the women sent over would be played to death within three days.

This made the women under Kawasaki’s command afraid to go.

Initially, Kawasaki could send some ordinary beauties over; these women didn’t have superpowers, or had useless ones, so their deaths did not matter.

The main point was that any resistance they put up was useless.

As time went on, the White Commander’s tastes became increasingly perverted, and ordinary people simply couldn’t endure it.

Helpless, Kawasaki Jun had to set his sights on strong female superpower users.

However, how could these superpower users willingly become mere playthings, and so many secretly resisted.

Eventually, Kawasaki Jun’s Kawasaki division ended up divided, with many female superpower users escaping.

These female superpower users often had families, so when they fled, they would take their families with them, leading to the complete fragmentation of the Kawasaki division.

Sometimes Kawasaki Jun wondered if this was the White Commander’s deliberate method to divide his powers.

Currently, Kawasaki Jun had no choice but to target people from other islands in Japan.

Of course, before this, the female superpower users from Dragon Country and surrounding nations captured under his command had already been sent to the fleet to become playthings for these Whites.

Kawasaki Jun was secretly anxious; if he couldn’t find the Eight-headed Great Serpent soon, he truly had no playthings to send over to make the commander happy.

“Kawasaki, tell me about that Eight-headed Great Serpent; what was its state when you saw it?”

“How much strength does that Eight-headed Great Serpent have left?”

General Keen glanced at the zoning-out Kawasaki Jun, then asked.

Kawasaki Jun hurriedly replied, “General Keen, I believe the Eight-headed Great Serpent has just awoken, and its strength is far from its peak.”

“Grabbing it now will surely be easier than doing so later.”

“As for exactly how much strength it has left, I am actually unsure; such a terrifying monster I didn’t dare approach at the time.”

“However, my men say it appears to be injured.”

“Oh? Injured? Are you sure?”

General Keen immediately turned his head, asking excitedly.

Kawasaki Jun hurriedly said, “Yes, my men saw it with their own eyes.”

“One of the Eight-headed Great Serpent’s tails has a massive wound, and some even saw treasures seemingly hidden within the wound!”

“Hmm? Treasures? What kind of treasures?”

“Celestial Cloud Sword!” Kawasaki Jun said solemnly.

General Keen visibly froze: “What thing?”

As a foreigner, this White General Keen obviously hadn’t heard of the Celestial Cloud Sword.

Kawasaki Jun showed extraordinarily excited expression, saying, “General, you might not know, but the Celestial Cloud Sword is also a famous divine artifact in our country.”

“It’s known as one of the three great divine artifacts and tops the list.”

“Legend has it that the god Susanoo was expelled from the High Heavens, and at the upper reaches of the Hi River in Izumo, he encountered an elderly couple and their daughter Kushinada-hime.”

“The elderly couple originally had eight daughters, but the first seven were all eaten by a terrible Eight-headed Great Serpent, and now the serpent wanted to eat the last daughter.”

“Susanoo proposed saving Kushinada-hime on the condition that she marries him. He instructed the couple to prepare eight barrels of strong wine (eightfold-brewed sake), placing them separately in eight troughs.”

The serpent was attracted to the wine aroma, extended its heads into the troughs to drink freely, and soon fell asleep drunk.

“Seizing the opportunity, Susanoo drew the Ten Fist Sword (his companion sword) and gradually cut off the serpent’s eight heads.”

“When cutting through the middle of the tail, the sword blade chipped, which he found odd; he sliced the tail open, discovering an extremely sharp, radiant treasure sword inside.”

“Because of the discovery at this location, well, inside the Eight-headed Great Serpent, amidst swirling clouds, Susanoo named it ‘Celestial Cloud Sword,’ meaning the sword that gathers heavenly clouds.”

“He presented this sword to his sister Amaterasu as a token of atonement or reconciliation.”

“Amaterasu bestowed the Celestial Cloud Sword to her grandson Ninigi-no-Mikoto’s grandson Jimmu, sending him to descend with these three divine artifacts to reign over Ashihara and become the symbol of imperial rule.”

General Keen, upon hearing this, couldn’t help but sneer, quite disdainful.

“So, according to myth, this Eight-headed Great Serpent should have already been slain by your divine being, yet why is it still alive now?”

“Well, legends have exaggerations, but since they mention this Celestial Cloud Sword, it must be extraordinary.”

“Now it’s within the Eight-headed Great Serpent; if we can obtain it, it might truly be a divine artifact.”

Kawasaki Jun said excitedly.

As a Japanese, nobody would be unaware of the Celestial Cloud Sword.

Even if they don’t know the Celestial Cloud Sword, they surely know its other name.

That’s the Grass Cutting Sword.

It is believed that neither Japanese nor those from any nation would be unfamiliar with this name.

Although the name of the Grass Cutting Sword is more widely known, it was mythologized mainly through adaptations in later works.

Actually, the sword was first named Grass Cutting Sword due to the story of the heroic Yamato Take’s eastern expedition.

Legend has it, while near Tokyo Bay, the local lord tricked him into taking a small boat out to sea, then set the grasses along the shore aflame to try and burn him to death.

At the critical moment, Yamato Take’s Celestial Cloud Sword automatically emerged from its sheath, cutting the surrounding grass and wielding the sword to shift the wind’s direction, counter-burning the enemy.

Due to this incident, the Celestial Cloud Sword gained the other widely known name – Grass Cutting Sword.

So actually, this sword translates directly to the sword for cutting grass.

Continuous mythologizing in later works attributed extraordinary abilities to it, spreading it far and wide.

No matter what the legends indicate, the fact is that a sword does exist in the Eight-headed Great Serpent now, matching the legends.

Kawasaki Jun felt that a treasure with a name famed in legend must be extraordinary.

After hearing, General Keen also slightly nodded, saying: “Your analysis does make sense.”

“These days, anything with a name in myth was certainly a sensational presence in its time.”

“Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been passed down.”

“I am not particularly interested in the sword; I am more intrigued by this Eight-headed Great Serpent.”

“Our brain-machine interface technology is now mature, lacking only such a mighty mutant beast as a carrier.”

“If we can capture it and install a brain-machine interface on its head, it’d mean that we fully control this myth-grade mutant beast.”

“Haha, then there’s no place on Blue Star we can’t go?”

“Our Lighthouse will finally rekindle the glory of freedom on this ocean.”

Kawasaki Jun quickly congratulated with a smile, saying: “I wish in advance for the general’s success.”

General Keen immediately burst into laughter.

At that moment, the voice from General Keen’s walkie-talkie suddenly transmitted.

“General, an island has been discovered!”
