Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1664: Chapter 996: Mythic Netherworld

Originally, after the Japanese launched a suicide attack, a nuclear explosion swept across the land with vast radiation energy.

Superpower users with gene recombination are not afraid of energy impact, but radiation energy can induce gene mutations.

For superpower users with gene recombination, gene mutation is their greatest fear.

At this time, their genes were not yet perfected, and gene mutations could easily lead to gene collapse, turning them into monsters.

So initially, the superpower users on Yangshan suffered heavy losses.

Fortunately, Ling Yurong reacted promptly, immediately abandoning most of the ships and transferring personnel into the Sumeru Space.

Before departure, Liang Yuan had given her and Tu Long each a Sumeru Ring.

This Sumeru Ring was originally intended for them to conquer the Floating Island of Japan and transport the resources from the island back using the Sumeru Ring.

Unexpectedly, it became their lifeline.

Because the Sumeru Space is an independent space, once transferred into it, external radiation energy is isolated.

Thus, everyone hid within the Sumeru Space, thinking they were safe.

Little did they expect that at this moment, Mount Fuji under the sea was disturbed by the nuclear blast energy, causing tsunamis to surge. In the shocked gaze of Ling Yurong and Tu Long, a vast creature with eight heads and eight tails emerged from underwater.

Before they could react, the monster swallowed the Yangshan fleet in one gulp.

Seeing this, Ling Yurong and Tu Long quickly dove into the deep sea to evade.

However, the Eight-headed Great Serpent had already activated the Magnetic Field Domain, preventing their immediate escape.

Ultimately, under Ling Yurong’s suggestion, the duo reached the vicinity of the wound on the Eight-headed Great Serpent’s body and jumped directly into this space along the chain.

Following this, they discovered abnormalities in this space and released the others from Yangshan to explore this mysterious space together.

It’s fortunate there was still a backup ship in the space, otherwise, everyone would have to rely on their superpowers to fly over the sea.

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan understood. Although Gu Feng made it sound simple, he certainly endured significant hardship in the process.

“What’s up with those bones at sea? Why is your ship filled with bones?”

Liang Yuan asked curiously.

“Mr. Liang, those are not dead bones, those skeletons are alive!”

Before Gu Feng could speak, Shi Haizhu exclaimed excitedly from the side.

Liang Yuan was taken aback and asked puzzledly, “What do you mean? Alive?”

“Yes, they are alive. Initially, we thought they were just ordinary bones. However, when our ship sailed through that Blood River, those bones floating on the sea suddenly came to life.”

“They formed skeletons, a variety of strange creatures’ skeletons, not just human ones. It was like the skeleton legion from the movies, they crazily climbed onto our ship and attacked us.”

“Even though we had a good number of people and preserved considerable strength, the bones were endless, swirling towards us like waves. We could hold out for a while, but not for long.”

“Tu Long sped up the ship, hoping to outrun the Skeleton Legion, but the entire ocean was full of these skeletons, impossible to shake off.”

“Luckily, we discovered this island at the last moment, so everyone hurriedly abandoned the ship and quickly entered the island.”

Then they found a stone cave.

Unexpectedly, numerous monsters inhabited that stone cave.

Everyone together fought, killed many monsters, and seized the stone cave.

“Right now, many of us are recuperating in the stone cave.”

Liang Yuan finally understood where the two of them had come from.

He pointed to the altar and the others lying on the altar, asking, “What’s happening with them? Why are they lying on the altar?”

Gu Feng quickly responded, “It’s Captain Ling and Captain Tu Long who voluntarily went to the altar.”

Liang Yuan was surprised again and asked with some astonishment, “Voluntarily went to the altar? Why?”

“This matter needs to start when we took over that stone cave.”

“We occupied the stone cave at that time, then many mutant beasts rushed out to kill us but were all counter-killed by us.”

“The remaining mutant beasts then fled in panic.”

“Afterward, we explored the stone cave and unexpectedly found a large number of murals and texts.”

Hearing this, Liang Yuan became interested.

“Texts?”

“Yes, quite a lot. It seems to record the great flood.”

“But we couldn’t recognize those characters until Captain Ling Yurong came over and recognized them instead.”

“She said these were ancient tadpole script.”

“At the scene, she and Jin Peng and others knew these characters, so they began to read the content. During this process, we gradually learned about the origin of this space and some anecdotes about that Eight-headed Great Serpent.”

Liang Yuan immediately asked, “Tell me in detail.”

Liang Yuan was genuinely curious, not expecting there to be such an ancient space world hidden inside the Eight-headed Great Serpent.

He wanted to know what kind of ancient secrets were concealed within this small space.

Gu Feng said, “According to Captain Ling Yurong’s translation, this space was called ‘Blood River Grotto Heaven’ in ancient times. The owner of the space was a powerful superpower user known as ‘Blood River Ancestor.’

“According to Captain Ling Yurong, the Blood River Ancestor was a top superpower user who became famous long ago and had already ascended from Blue Star.”

“That means breaking through to Star God Level and entering space.”

“This Netherworld Cave Heaven is probably what he left behind for his successor.”

“Of course, based on our analysis, this so-called Blood River Ancestor sounds a lot like the master of the Netherworld Blood Sea in Dragon Country myths and legends.”

“Moreover, the environment here indeed resembles the Netherworld of myth and legend.”

“Captain Ling Yurong mentioned that many myths from Dragon Country actually originate from superpower users’ legends.”

“She herself has been mythologized, being dubbed the ‘Lord of the Frozen Sea.’

“She has even been recorded in the Classic of Mountains and Seas.”

Liang Yuan was utterly shocked, never imagining that here would be connected to ancient myths!

“Ling Yurong said so?”

“Yes, she knows quite a bit of ancient secrets from that era. Jin Peng and others were present at the time and confirmed it.”

“So everyone basically confirmed it; this place is undoubtedly the Netherworld mentioned in myth.”

Gu Feng was speaking excitedly. Before the apocalypse, he was just a high school student the same age as Dong Yan, naturally passionate about mythology and legend.

He never dreamed that one day he would confront mythology and legend in this manner.

In the realm of gods and myths that went viral online before the apocalypse.

The Blood River Ancestor was an undisputed master of the ancient era.

Unexpectedly, he’s actually a superpower user!

And the Netherworld does indeed exist.

A separate space built by the Blood River Ancestor!

Everything seemed so bizarre yet entirely reasonable.

This gave Gu Feng a sensation of being in ancient times, conversing across spacetime with ancient mythical figures.

Liang Yuan also felt deeply moved.

However, his level of astonishment was much smaller than Gu Feng’s.

Because from the time he met Ling Yurong, he knew the so-called immortals in ancient myths were essentially superpower users.

They had been mythologized by ordinary people.

Moreover, the flood disaster wasn’t just a one-time occurrence in ancient times.

Worldwide legends of flood obliteration are no coincidence.

Liang Yuan suppressed his shock and instead asked, “So what are Ling Yurong and the others doing on the altar?”

“Also, what’s the connection with that Eight-headed Great Serpent?”
