Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 664: Chapter 271: Drawing Mutated Sunflowers Again_3

”Yes, living in caves is actually considered quite good. Living in wooden houses and bamboo houses has more problems; after all, wood has gaps and it’s easy for water to seep in.”

”Those with conditions will buy some sea cucumber glue to patch the wall cracks. Those without conditions will use multiple layers of thin wood boards to block the wind.”

”For now, it’s still okay. When it gets even colder, it will be much harder.”

Liang Yuan heard this and couldn’t help but frown. Sea cucumber glue is considered a relatively scarce resource, always used as a building adhesive with very good effects.

Liang Yuan had already informed the slaughterhouse that whenever sea cucumbers were caught, they were not to be killed. All were kept to collect sea cucumber glue.

However, even so, sea cucumber glue was still in short supply. So when building houses, using sea cucumber glue was quite rare.

”The main issue is the long-lasting rain, which makes the air very damp. Many people’s clothes can’t get dry and are always semi-dry every day.”

”When the weather was hot before, we didn’t care. Now the weather is gradually getting colder. Wearing these wet clothes will inevitably lead to colds.” Old Ma sighed.

Liang Yuan had a drying machine at home and did not suffer from this problem.

Other homes didn’t have electricity, let alone dryers or washing machines. Many people’s clothes remained semi-dry for a long time.

Now as the temperature drops, catching cold is inevitable.

Liang Yuan pondered; this issue indeed needs a solution.

At this moment, Song Wen said, ”Brother Liang, where did you get those mutated sunflowers?”

”Why?” Liang Yuan looked at her.

Song Wen said, ”Actually, mutated sunflowers are very powerful. The illumination and heat they provide are not low. They can both light up and provide heat.”

”Earlier, I saw several plantation employees bringing their damp clothes to the greenhouse to dry.”

”Being close to those sunflowers, the clothes dry in half a day.”

”If there were more mutated sunflowers, perhaps each household could plant one. This way, it would not only be equivalent to having electric lights for illumination, but also provide heat to dry clothes and maintain room temperature.”

Liang Yuan’s heart moved slightly upon hearing this.

The mutated sunflowers were actually obtained by accidentally winning the lottery before. He hadn’t expected them to be so useful.

Currently, he had over 200,000 points, and he could definitely draw more mutated sunflower seeds.

Not just one per household, creating a sunflower base wouldn’t be a problem.

”I’ll think of a way,” Liang Yuan said immediately.

Song Wen nodded, naturally trusting him unconditionally.

Liang Yuan stayed for a while longer before leaving the plantation and returning to his cave home.

He walked to the living room and looked at the sunflower in the landscape pool, examining the surrounding floor and walls.

Sure enough, there was no mildew or dampness around the sunflower.

Touching the floor, he could still feel the warmth of sunlight.

A mutated sunflower can indeed significantly improve the air humidity at home.

It’s essentially like having a miniature sun at home.

Liang Yuan sat down and directly accessed the system.

He glanced at his current points, totaling 231,342 points.

”System, targeted draw for mutated sunflower seeds.”

”Ding, mutated sunflowers are mutant plants. Targeted draw will cost 1,000 points.”

Liang Yuan sighed in relief. He remembered the previous time when he drew mutated sunflower seeds; it was from the 50 Points lottery disc.

Back then, earning points was tough, and he studied each draw carefully.

Later, he discovered that the higher the points in the lottery disc, the higher the probability of refreshing mutant plants.

The chances of winning varied, and the higher the points in the lottery disc, the greater the odds of winning mutant plants.

But the targeted draw for sunflower seeds required 1,000 points, which seemed costly to Liang Yuan.

Because targeted drawing attribute points also just cost 1,000 points back then.

”I’ll draw once to see how it goes.”

”Draw!”

Liang Yuan consumed 1,000 points, and the lottery disc flashed, then a seed appeared.

Liang Yuan was surprised and angry: ”Damn it, just one seed?”

Previously, he won 20 seeds of mutated sunflowers during the lottery!

Although the survival rate was low at only 20%, two seeds eventually sprouted.

Liang Yuan hurriedly inspected the sunflower seed.

[Mutated Sunflower Seed (Premium)]

Description: Can grow a sunflower that produces sunlight.

Quantity: 1

Survival Rate: 100%

Planting Environment: Wherever there’s soil

Liang Yuan was stunned: ”Premium seed? 100% survival rate?”

He realized that the targeted draw produced premium seeds with a guaranteed survival rate.

This was different from the mutated sunflower seeds he’d won with the 50 Points lottery disc.

Liang Yuan sighed with relief; he didn’t lose too much.

At least it would survive 100%.

Liang Yuan gradually figured out that the targeted draw seemed to be limited to drawing items in units of 1.

For attribute points, each targeted draw only drew 1 point.

For equipment, it was drawn in sets of 1.

Currently, the mutated sunflower was drawn as 1 plant per draw.

His eyes flashed with realization, and he slapped his thigh, cursing himself: ”Damn, how stupid am I? Since it’s targeted drawing, why draw seeds? I should directly draw sunflowers!”

Liang Yuan envisioned this and quickly modified the targeted draw command.

”System, targeted draw for mutated sunflower.”

”Ding, targeted draw for mutated sunflower requires 1,000 points. Do you want to proceed?”

Indeed, drawing seeds and plants cost the same!

Fortunately, he only drew one seed just now, so the loss was minimal.

He began drawing mutated sunflowers directly.

[Mutated Sunflower]

Description: Can produce sunlight.

Quantity: 1

Survival Rate: 100%

Planting Environment: Wherever there’s soil

Fruit: Sunflower Seeds

The attributes of the mutated sunflower made Liang Yuan’s eyes shine.

”It actually produces seeds!”

”Could these be considered mutated fruit?”

Liang Yuan eagerly hoped that if the sunflowers could produce plenty of seeds, the shelter would gain a new food source.

Plus, sunflower seeds can be extracted for oil!

Importantly, sunflower seeds are not only fruit but also seeds!

Does this mean that planting a batch of these sunflowers would yield endless sunflowers for future planting?

Liang Yuan was overjoyed, his eyes glowing!

”I’ll draw 100 plants first, expand a sunflower base, wait for these sunflowers to mature, and then start the next round of planting. After that, I’ll aim for each household in the shelter to have one plant.”
