The Great Thief

Under Hachi Chan’s insistence, Lu Li deducted 100 points from her.

The two girl students laughed happily. Remnant Dream felt that her good friend had too much of a sense of justice and loyalty, but Hachi Chan felt that her stomach had been relieved.

It was late now, and the chances of defeating another Boss weren’t high.

Moreover, Lu Li felt that they had already thrown off the other clubs, so after they finished fighting in the fierce tiger area, he decided to call it a day.

When they went online the second day, they continued the Zul’Gurub Instance Dungeon.

What everyone had to face now was the Boss of the black minion area, High Priest Arlokk.

This female priest was from the Skullsplitter Troll tribe.

This tribe had also split from the ancient Gurubashi empire. Being adept at fighting, they firmly controlled the central area of Stranglethorn Vale. All those daring adventurers who entered this territory were too rash and paid the price – including their neighbours, the Bloodscalp Trolls. The Skullsplitter Trolls looked down on the Darkspear Trolls the most – they were the only Troll tribe to enter the Horde to seek help.

Although they looked down on the Darkspear Trolls, the Skullsplitter Trolls’ leader, Ana’thek the Cruel, already realised the Horde’s crisis.

Their biggest enemy actually wasn’t the Bloodscalp Trolls, who often fought with them. At most, the Bloodscalp trolls would take some of their grain rations, and even then, it was only on a whim to try some new food.

What Ana’thak the Cruel considered a real life and death crisis were those Goblins and adventurers.

Those damned Goblins; they deserved to die!

They would do anything for gold. For the Goblins in Stranglethorn Vale, trafficking Troll Mojo was one of their main sources of income.

In the earliest days, they’d hunt and kill Bloodscalp trolls, but Bloodscalp Trolls’ Mojo was too weak. They had also tried the Mojo of the Darkspear Trolls, but their customers were extremely unsatisfied with this. This went on until one day, the goblins killed a Skullsplitter Troll.

From then on, the Goblins had been hunting and killing Skullsplitter trolls for their Mojo as a steady source of income.

Those Goblins really were small and weak. Even if they were carrying top-quality rifles, the brave warriors of the Skullsplitter trolls would kill them like they were chickens. What annoyed the Skullsplitters was that the Goblins didn’t go out to attack themselves.

They offered a reward, making adventurers work hard for them instead.

Those adventurers, they also deserved to die. They simply didn’t care about their lives. The cruel Ana’thak, who was skilled at killing himself, lamented over this more than just once.

In fact, there was another reason that truly made the Skullsplitter trolls firmly decide to join the troll alliance.

It was still those damned Goblins and adventurers.

The Goblins had realised that relying on killing those tigers and exporting their teeth in Southshore Island was quite a difficult thing. Not only was it difficult, but it also came at a high cost. As such, they found an alternative product, which was the buckteeth of the Skullsplitter tribe of Trolls.

Mojo was something which there was not a great demand for. Only those who could control magic would buy it for experiments.

Tiger teeth were different. In the lives of the rich, you could see this sort of exquisite decoration everywhere. Even common people could buy a few to decorate their doors. The demand for tiger teeth throughout the whole land seemed to be insatiable.

How beautiful or ugly Trolls were wasn’t determined by their face, but by their teeth.

Once, the Skullsplitters were considered to have the most beautiful teeth among all the Troll tribes. But unexpectedly, this actually meant that they faced the disaster of the extinction of their tribe.

This time, High Priest Arlokk brought his underlings to enter Zul’Gurub, in order to realise the revival of the greatness of this tribe of Trolls. When that day came, they would skin and pickle all the Goblins of Azeroth and eat them over the winter.

The team only had to do a little research to know how to deal with the smaller monsters. The key was still the Boss.

The first few times, the whole team did die, but after going through death after death, they

managed to develop their strategy.

Where High Priest Arlokk was, there was a gong. When the gong was struck, the battle would start, so, before the battle started, everyone would assemble in front of it and allow the Main Tank stand in the middle of the room to prepare.

Here, they had to deal with the Boss first because smaller monsters kept rushing forward from the corners until they occupied the whole room.

A speedy kill of the Boss with maximum DPS was the key to victory!

The Boss would put the mark of a hunter on a player, which would appear as a purple arrow above the player’s head. All the monsters, filled with hate, would go and attack this player that had been marked. On one hand, they had to make sure that the person marked would stay alive. While the monsters’ attacks were weak, they came in high numbers. On the other hand, they needed to use various methods to control these monsters.

In terms of skills, they could use Freezes and Fears. The engineered Flash Bombs were also extremely useful; Lu Li had distributed them to everyone beforehand. These could temporarily disable the attacks of the monsters, so that everyone could focus on the Boss.

When Arlokk still had about 80% HP, she would disappear. At this time, they could get rid of as many monsters as they could, thus reducing the burden of when they were fighting.

What was more, everyone was spread apart, especially the healers. This was because when the Boss came out, there would be a powerful whirlwind alongside her. Controlling the minions and attacking the Boss with maximum DPS were the key elements to this battle.

After Arlokk appeared, they would attack her as quickly as they could. At this point, the monsters would rapidly respawn, so they would have to switch their focus and bring them down with AoE attacks.

The team died four times, before reaching the Berserk stage on their fifth attempt.

Overall, this Boss was relatively easy, and was definitely more straightforward than the previous one. In principle, they had some similarities. These black minions were the same as the tigers before. However, while you didn’t have to kill them, it was best the kill the tigers.

The main difference was in the Boss’ skills.

“Bethek, why did you abandon your priest!” Arlokk called out painfully to her god. She had finished her historical mission.

After the fight, they looted, but there was nothing that really stood out.

Actually, after a few more patches, High Priest Arlokk would also drop amount – a black creature which looked a bit better than the Night Elf mount. From then on, Arlokk would be targeted by the Elite groups of the major guilds.

However, the rate for mounts dropping was extremely low, so many people left for home in disappointment.

Now, the main Bosses left were the Hexxer Jin’do, as well as Hakkar, who had been summoned out.

Of course, one of the biggest special features of this Instance Dungeon was the hidden Boss, but they were competing for the First Clear. If you wanted to provoke the hidden Boss, you would be setting yourself back, and if you chose to do that at a time like this, then there really was something wrong with you.
