The Great Thief

These two stone slabs existed in the Zul’Farrak Instance Dungeon. The Zul’Farrak Instance Dugeon’s level was very low. With Lu Li and Hachi Chan’s current strength, they could navigate through it easily.

Yeh’Kinya began researching the writing on the stone slabs after receiving them.

If Yeh’Kinya didn’t persist, Lu Li almost wouldn’t believe that was even writing, let alone that it used to be the Trolls’ writing. Now, the Trolls use another language system.

These early writings could only be seen in sites like ruins. No matter the real identity, Yeh’Kinya finally lived up to his name as an archaeologist. Then again, this could be the type of writing that he had been studying the whole time.

“Mosalu’s Prophecy mentioned an Ancient Egg. It was said that when the Trolls built their powerful empire at a time when no one could compare, the egg already existed. It possesses the power to control Hakkar’s soul essence. Perhaps this is the only hope we have from protecting our world from evil,” Yeh’Kinya explained, not letting Lu Li and Hachi Chan wait long.

“I understand. Next, we need to find this Ancient Egg, right?” Hachi Chan asked. She had learned to infer from given information.

“Yes, you will need to find this Ancient Egg for me.”

Yeh’Kinya had a satisfied expression that said she was ‘worthy of being taught’ and gently patted her head.

“Wait,” Lu Li interrupted. He was already on the bad side of the NPC so he might as well speak his mind.

“We’ve already completed two quests for you. Even though we aren’t excessively greedy Goblins, we do also know that everything requires give and take…”

“…”

Yeh’Kinya probably didn’t think that anyone would ask for rewards, and didn’t know how to respond in the moment.

Hachi Chan received Lu Li’s cue and pitifully said, “If the mission gets dangerous later, you’ve got to help us Uncle Yeh’Kinya. Our safety isn’t the main concern, but if the mission fails, then that won’t be good.”

“Okay, okay.”

Yeh’Kinya could reject Lu Li, but he couldn’t do the same with Hachi Chan.

He grabbed two bottles of medicine, and gave them to Hachi Chan with a painful face.

The medicine had such a simple name: Yeh’Kinya’s Medicine. However, the effects were not so simple. This was a medicine refined with the help of Hakkar, so the attributes were also very strong.

To gain Hakkar’s power in a short period of time would give them great strength, no matter in attack or defence.

However, Lu Li felt this wasn’t right. The medicine should have had a prescription.

He had read in the guide that Yeh’Kinya would reward them with a medicine. The effects of it weren’t this insane, but the medicine produced could be used by everyone, even though it was only effective in Zul’Farrak’s new Instance Dungeon.

Lu Li was doing this quest mainly just for this medicine’s prescription, which would make First Clearing easier.

“According to the details on the stone slabs, you need to go to the highest peak of Jintha’Alor. There’ll be a cave with the Ancient Egg in there,” Yeh’Kinya explained.

“Jintha’Alor, we know there that is. It has a strong evil priestess,” Lu Li nodded.

They had been to Jintha’Alor before when they fought Zul’Farrak. They had also killed Jintha’Alor’s evil priestess, Hexx, who was a chief-level Boss of over level 40 back in the day. She was incredibly hard to fight.

Even if many players now were already at level 60 or close to it, they still needed an impressive team to get the ancient egg. Otherwise, it would be impossible to win against Priestess Hexx.

“Yep it’s her,” Yeh’Kinya said.”The Ancient Egg is in her hands. Sooner or later it will be an issue.”

“Well, why don’t we just break the Ancient Egg straight away?” Lu Li asked with a hint of ill intent.

“No, no, no. Breaking it will not resolve the problem my friends.”

Yeh’Kinya’s forehead dripped with sweat from the shock of Lu Li’s suggestion. He warned Lu Li solemnly, “The arrival of the evil spirit Hakkar is not necessarily the Ancient Egg. Plus, there’s not just one egg. Breaking it would only disturb Hakkar.”

“Okay, but the evil priestess is not easy to manage. Two of us alone will not be enough. I see that your medicine is pretty good. How about you give me some more or just give us the prescription…”

“Elf, your greed is repugnant,” Yeh’Kinya couldn’t resist saying.

“Shhhh keep it down, we’re saving Azeroth,” Lu Li said, looking left and right, as if saving the world was something to hide.

“Damn, I’ve already given you the mission reward,” Yeh’Kinya angrily replied.

“I know, but you don’t wish for us to fail the mission, right? In case of alerting the enemy, that evil priestess would probably keep the Ancient Egg even safely stored. Perhaps even some strong helpers might come and help guard it. Then, it’ll be even harder to obtain at that point.”

“Okay, okay, this is the prescription. You cannot spread it without my permission.”

Yeh’Kinya didn’t have a choice but to think about the terrifying consequences described by Lu Li.

Jintha’Alor had too many monsters. The evil priestess Hexx was not an easy opponent. In order to kill her, the two people in front of his eyes were not enough. However, he didn’t understand that players and the strengths of Bosses were matched according to levels. Plus, Lu Li didn’t even plan to kill Hexx again.

After receiving the prescription, Lu Li got Hachi Chan to play on her own and went to Jintha’Alor by himself.

Jintha’Alor still had Trolls everywhere. People could probably only see such a huge density of Trolls gathered in this place. As such, players around level 40 would come here and farm for items.

Yet, the evil priestess Hexx was not lacking in visitors.

Lu Li quickly found a few familiar faces in the group around the BOSS fight. Unforgettable Maple had brought the players of Majin Temple to fight both the Boss and the players of Stellar Guild.

The equipment dropped by Hexx were no longer valuable, but she still had some useful rare materials.

Under normal circumstances, if there were two clubs eyeing the same Boss, they would either agree on how to split the loot, or they would end up in the situation in front of him.

Everyone spoke on their own merit. The first option meant people earned less, but the latter option meant that even if they grabbed rare materials, it was still a loss.

Lu Li looked up. The Boss still had over half its HP.

Even though everyone’s levels were higher than that of the Boss’, it was not easy to kill the her, on top of grabbing stuff from people.

Lu Li didn’t intend to disturb both sides in the chaos of war. His target was behind the Boss in that cave. The Ancient Egg would disappear once the Boss died, so he would have to wait for the Boss to refresh.

Originally, he thought that he had to wait for the Boss to refresh then come here.
