Chapter 1235: Chapter 15: Building a Nation by Reclaiming the Sea

”I, Qii Shuying, swear to the heavens, from this moment on, I shall be loyal to Lin Feng. If I dare to betray this oath, may my Divine Soul shatter and may I die a terrible death!”

Mrs. Qii raised her right hand to the sky to make the oath.

Instantly, an oath mark was etched in Mrs. Qii’s mind.

Should Mrs. Qii dare to betray Lin Feng, she would immediately suffer a terrible death.

Lin Feng said, ”Since you wish to establish a grand empire, have you thought about where you want to establish such an empire?”

Mrs. Qii replied, ”Originally, I planned to occupy a few states in the northern Seventy-two States as a base to build the empire.”

The northern Seventy-two States are relatively weak. Mrs. Qii’s plan is wise; even if some forces resist, with the power Mrs. Qii controls, she can easily crush them.

After pausing, Mrs. Qii continued, ”Now that I have pledged allegiance to you, Young Master, I am willing to offer all my power to you.”

Lin Feng said, ”I will not interfere with your life, so you can still establish your empire and become your own queen.”

”Ah?” Mrs. Qii looked at Lin Feng in disbelief, thinking she had misheard.

Lin Feng smiled slightly and said, ”You don’t need to doubt your ears; you didn’t hear wrong. However, I suggest you establish the empire in the Overseas World, and I’ve considered the following points.”

”First, the Overseas World is rich in resources. Second, many parts of the Overseas World are uninhabited, offering vast spaces to build an empire. When the empire’s strength is displayed, countless people will flock to seek refuge. Third, although the northern Seventy-two States are relatively weak, if you plan to conquer a few states and establish an empire, even if successful, you’ll face attacks from numerous forces. Doing so would disrupt the divisions of power on the Heavenly Martial Continent. If every top-level force were to recklessly seize territories weaker than theirs, wouldn’t the Heavenly Martial Continent be in chaos? Thus, the rules of the Heavenly Martial Continent cannot be challenged.”

Mrs. Qii nodded and said, ”Your insights are indeed spot-on. If we build the empire at sea, where should it be established?”

Lin Feng replied, ”The Heavenly Martial Continent is surrounded by seas. I am not very familiar with other oceans, but I know the East Sea relatively well. Since your Desire Island has existed for many years, why not use Desire Island as the center and reclaim land from the sea to found a nation!”

”Reclaim land from the sea to found a nation?” Mrs. Qii was shocked.

Lin Feng said, ”If you don’t reclaim land from the sea, even if you establish an empire later, it will only be like those cultivator settlements in the East Sea, accommodating a few billion people at best, which is still too small a scale. Since you want to build an empire, naturally, it should be large enough, capable of housing tens of trillions, only then it can be called an immortal empire!”

After hearing Lin Feng’s words, Mrs. Qii couldn’t help but feel excited.

If such an empire could be established at sea, accommodating tens of trillions, it would be terrifying indeed.

Such an empire would become the absolute Lord of the sea.

It could sweep aside any sea power.

”But, reclaiming land from the sea to found a nation is too difficult,” Mrs. Qii said.

”Haven’t you controlled many powerful individuals? Now is the time to use them. You need to learn the principle of maximizing resource use and ensuring people fulfill their duties.” Lin Feng smiled slightly.

Mrs. Qii’s eyes suddenly brightened, and she quickly bowed to Lin Feng, saying, ”Thank you, Master, for your guidance.”

”Hmm...” Lin Feng nodded, then said, ”There are many hidden powerhouses in the Overseas World that average overseas forces cannot mobilize. If the nation-building by reclaiming land is completed, a sea power akin to the Ancient Jiang Family will emerge. This will be unprecedented, and by then, many powerhouses will come flocking to you, eliminating the need for risky plots to control other cultivators.”

”I will remember!”

Mrs. Qii quickly said.

”Alright, you may leave now,” Lin Feng waved his hand.

Mrs. Qii said, ”Young Master, I still have concerns.”

”Speak...” Lin Feng said.

”There are so many forces at sea, but for various reasons, it’s hard for a super-giant force to emerge at sea. If we reclaim land to found a nation, wouldn’t it attract the jealousy of many sea forces? Those forces might launch an attack on us. If that happens, I’m afraid... the plan would be difficult to execute,” Mrs. Qii worriedly said.

”There is indeed a possibility, but all bustling under heaven is for profit. How about the sea forces coordinating an attack? By spending a large sum, inviting the Nine Great Pirate Kings, we can repel any sea power,” Lin Feng said.

Mrs. Qii’s eyes grew brighter, and she said, ”Yes, Master, I understand what to do now.”

After a pause, Mrs. Qii continued, ”The long night is endless; I will summon Nianyi to attend to you, Young Master.”

”Chu Nianyi?” Lin Feng raised an eyebrow and looked at Mrs. Qii, ”Isn’t Chu Nianyi your woman? Are you willing to give her to me?”

”Master sees everything clearly.”

Mrs. Qii bowed and said, ”Anything that belongs to me belongs to you, Young Master.”

”There’s no need,” Lin Feng waved his hand.

”Yes.”

Mrs. Qii bowed, ”Master, rest well, I shall take my leave...”

Mrs. Qii then retreated.

After Mrs. Qii left, Lin Feng felt no trace of sleepiness. Instead, he entered a cultivation state.

Lin Feng sat cross-legged, holding the nine-colored Illusion Stone, entering the Sudden Enlightenment State.

In his mind appeared ninety thousand Star Maps.

This was the Soul Refining Skill.

The ninety thousand Star Maps turned into ninety thousand stars, and Lin Feng gazed into the depths of the stars, where there stood a man in white deep within the ninety thousand stars, full of mystery, ethereal, like an ancient Great Emperor, facing away from the world, solitary and desolate.
