Tempest of the Stellar War

After battling for a night and searching works going on for a few hours, they still couldn’t find any signs of Wang Zheng’s Golden Wheel. Moreover, the detection devices did not receive any signals. Under such circumstances, the military would not loiter around for extended period of time and could only retreat unless Wang Zheng’s signal was to appear again.

Space was just like a visible door.

If one needed to open it, now would be the best time Wang Zheng needed it to be opened.

In the body of the Devouring Zerg, the whole mech was spinning as though it had entered a meat grinder. The energy shields were all turned on but were being exhausted in a rapid pace.

If Butcher was to see the situation inside the Devouring Zerg, he would definitely be astonished. This was truly an amazing structure and could simply be considered as a miracle in the universe. The star-dust like gases was devouring the mech. Any living organism that enter the body of the Devouring Zerg would fall into a dream-like state of a baby and would not be able to be awaken.

The reason why Zerg were able to rampage through the universe and went head-to-head against the humans was because they had an extraordinary evolution tree. This was also beyond the humans’ research area.

However, the seemingly helpless mech started to move at this moment. The golden wheels started to spin rapidly. At the same time, blazing flame started to burn with the spinning wheels. The energy shields were destroyed by the stardust and at that very instant the Golden Wheel struck out fiercely!

At this moment, a black hole-like thing suddenly appeared in the magical universe and devoured the Golden Wheel mech and its burning golden wheel…

Rumble…

Accurately speaking, he was pulled in.

In some place within the Abyss, the sky was still red like blood. It was just that it was even gloomier in this place. There were green-like ponds all around the dimly lit land. The ponds were emanating some gases. One would easily feel that these weren’t anything good.

There were some things piling up everywhere. Some were shiny and dilapidated while there were even things that were shimmering with fire sparks. Taking a closer look from the sky, those piles of things were actually large scale rubbish piles. Within the rubbish piles, they were all sorts of unknown things. There were even some debris of humans’ mecha and even spaceships.

Large scale rubbish piles like this could be seen everywhere in this place. Within the green ponds, some disgusting Zerg-like things would crawl out from time to time, extended their claws quickly, stuck out their heads and would then escape agilely after grabbing something.

These Zerg seemed to extremely detest these “rubbish piles”. Nonetheless, there would be rubbish falling from the sky from time to time.

Below a large scale rubbish dump, a small shadow was moving… it was a moving mech…

The mech seemed to be looking for something and was carrying a bag behind him. He was picking up things and stuffed it into the bag from time to time. The actions of the mech were very agile.

At this moment, a black spot appeared in the sky. The mech looked to the sky almost instantly. A black thing fell out from the hole. The mech hesitated for a while before charging towards the landing point.

It was a strange movement. A typical mech would definitely let out a huge sound if it was accelerating. However, this mech was moving towards the landing point silently.

At this very moment, the remaining 39 students across the different locations of the Abyss had basically all encountered Abyss Zerg. It was indeed a practical battle experience upgrade for all of them.

Sparring and battling seemed similar but were in fact 2 different concepts. There were many precedent cases in the Academy whereby one would score extremely well in school, was leader in various battle indexes and yet could not perform on the battle fields and would even burden the team. Some students might had average performances in school but were crazy as though they had been injected with stimulants on a bloody battle field. Such extreme cases weren’t uncommon.

This was not just simply about if one could get used to it. Ability X users were truly more likely to be affected by this type of atmosphere. What the military really needed weren’t those that could score high points but those that were equipped with real battle strength.

It wasn’t just that Inner Roland was doing it. Various major military schools were also emphasizing training in this aspect. It was mainly to give those “low score’ students another chance. Obviously, such exceptions weren’t common. After all, those who scored higher had better abilities. The considerations of regular examinations of the various major military schools were already rather comprehensive.

More importantly, it was to make the students understand clearly the differences between sparring and life-death battles. At the same time, it was for them to get used to it.

During sparring, a mistake could be salvaged. At most, it was to correct it the next time. However a mistake might result in death on the battle field. It might even result in the entire team’s extermination.

This was something that no one would be able to withstand.

No matter how many times this concept had been emphasized, it wouldn’t be clearer than experiencing it first-hand.

In fact, Wang Zheng’s situation was a negative example. If his mech was a little faster… if only he was a little more careful… if only his curiosity wasn’t that strong…

Curiosity killed the cat!

To be able to come to this stage, one couldn’t just describe it as simply being young and vigorous. After that battle, the rest of the people had quickly adjusted their mentality. Even those who might have underestimated the Zergs previously had started to be more cautious. The month in the Abyss was the best moment to summarise what they had learnt in the school. It was especially the case for students in the Xuan class who had been in school for at least 2-3 years. They had known quite a bit on the theories and exercises during normal times. However, it was still a first time they had such an opportunity.

After Wang Zheng’s incident, Jiang Feng had no choice but to increase the intensity of protection. The employees were basically following the students’ eating and sleeping conditions. These were also treatments for students. Once they had graduated, they would only had such treatments in their dreams.

The truth was that with Jiang Feng’s personality, he really did not want to do so. They had already made ample consideration based on their strength. If they couldn’t even handle such situations, the Elite Academy would really have to look in to the standards of their teaching. These 40 students represented the elites of this batch.

However, Butcher did not give up. This had placed Jiang Feng in a tough position. Once one had been eaten by the devouring Zerg, although occasionally one might escape, most of the time there wouldn’t be survivors. This was even the case for the super experts.

However with Butcher insisting, he did not have any other options. One could only say that the student Wang Zheng held great weight in the eyes of Butcher. Sigh. If he was so talented in the research field, he shouldn’t have ran here to join in the fun.

Wang Zheng didn’t know if he had touched upon the door to space. However, he had made his move and was sucked into the hole. Everything was spinning around him but Wang Zheng was forcibly trying to maintain consciousness. This felt worse than the time he was shot down on Tita Star. However Wang Zheng knew that if he was to faint, he would definitely die.

The internals of the devouring Zerg was extremely fragile and was just a digestive system. Its strongest ability was to cause living organism to faint and lose all forms of resistance. However, there would always be some strange people who could resist such hypnosis and Wang Zheng was one of them.

It wasn’t a great feeling to have been pulled out. After experiencing everything around him spinning, he had to endure the feeling of breaking through space. This was different from the amazing experience of Zhang Shan but was more similar to the pain of having one’s skin ripped off.

However, such pain had helped Wang Zheng to maintain consciousness. The Primordial Regression Technique was circulating at maximum capacity to resist such pain. With various warps, one’s bones might had been broken if one wasn’t trying hard to withstand through it.

There was a true sense of relief at the instance when he broke free from the restraints of space. Was everything fine now?

Negative. The Golden Wheel had completely lost reaction. The mech fell straight down from the sky. If he was to land this way, Wang Zheng could be renamed as “Flattened Wang”.

At some distance from Wang Zheng, there was another mobile mech warrior approaching at full speed. The speed was very fast and the mech was jumping around agilely. Such techniques were truly astonishing. However, it wouldn’t seem enough with the speed the Golden Wheel was falling.

Wang Zheng had no intention to just give up. He might be able to restart in other things, but he would not be able to restart his life!

If he didn’t wish to die, he had to think of a solution!

As a pilot, Wang Zheng’s only solution was to reinstate the mech’s movement ability. His innate ability of analysis immediately engulfed him. Even though Wang Zheng might just be half a maintenance worker and he wouldn’t had the time to fix anything, a clear understanding of the mech appeared in his brain at the instant his analysis ability perpetuate through the mech. His Fire Ability X immediately activated.

Rumble…

The Golden Wheel which had completely lost movement capabilities previously started to respond as though it was coughing.

However, such blunting force could only be maintained for just a moment. The mech was already damaged within the body of the Devouring Zerg. The Golden Wheel which lost movement capabilities continued to fall.
