Tempest of the Stellar War

“And how should I address the pretty lady?” Yan Xiaosu said.

“Natalie, Mr Yan.” Natalie answered, and the resumed standing quietly beside Jasper.

“Natalie is a top economics student in Lya Sphinx’s capital, and also a pillar in our organization. She’s also one of the people responsible for the inspection this time round. As for me, I’m just here to play.” Jasper laughed.

“Keke, Mr Jasper, I think we might not have met under the most cordial of circumstances the last time.” Yan Xiaosu mildly replied.

Jasper was unfazed, instead unleashing a brilliant smile. “Brother Yan, I remember a proverb from Earth. You won’t know someone unless you fight them. Brother Yan is indeed one to hide his true ability. I was a fool.”

Saying such things left Yan Xiaosu in a bad position to press the issue. Such an adroit conversationalist was difficult to pin down.

Yan Xiaosu waved a magnanimous hand. “A small matter forget about it. If there’s nothing else, I still want to go out and enjoy myself. D*mn, this broken down place is dilapidated and rural. There’s nothing fun around here.”

“Oh? Did the esteemed Governor not recommend you anywhere special?”

“He? He asked me to visit with the giants. D*mn, what’s fun about that? I left him to his own devices.” Yan Xiaosu said carelessly.

Jasper’s jaw dropped. F*ck, this airhead. The giant community was prohibited to outsiders. It meant that they treated you as one of their own.

“Keke, that’s true. Such a way of amusement is suited to the foolhardy, unlike us. Actually, it’s not just me that came this time. In my circle of friends, we’re planning to go hunting in the nature park. Brother Yan, would you like to come with us? It’s quite interesting, and since all of us are like-minded, things won’t get boring.”

Jasper said.

“Who are they? If they’re boring people, I won’t go.”

“Yours truly has set up a starlight club, full of rich heirs with unlimited wealth. We came to Tita Star this time to inspect the production, and also to sniff out any opportunities for cooperation. More friends, more doors, I say.”

Jasper said. “Perhaps, Brother Yan could find a decent companion as well.”

Yan Xiaosu waved an agitated hand. “I’m not too interested in things like cooperation, and don’t need it either. But that hunting you spoke of sounds not too bad. Beauties and beasts. I like it.”

Yan Xiaosu’s eyes were bright. His gaze was roaming over to Natalie with wicked intent… they were indeed quite big.

Jasper was secretly delighted. “I did say we were of like mind. We’re hunting Tita Star’s special produce, the huge monsters. It’s very exciting. Of course, we don’t need to personally take a hand. When it comes to it, we can even sit around and bet. It’s very addictive.”

“Alright, then I’ll leave Lan Ling to rest, and go with you to play!” Yan Xiaosu said.

Jasper secretly wished he could give him a couple of kicks. With anyone else, he might think the person was faking it. But seeing Lan Ling’s expression in the great hall, such a matter was indeed plausible.

And the more the other party expressed an unwillingness to cooperate, the more chance there was.

Everything else aside, if he could build good relations with the other Tita people through him, this would be the best deal.

Sending Jasper away, Yan Xiaosu leaned against the sofa and heaved a great sigh. His entire back had been wet with sweat. D*mn, it was the first time he had thought it was so tiring to put on airs.

The Tadinger Group had the most clout in Lya Sphinx. None of them were short on money. Yan Xiaosu was clear that the only way to do business with such people was to crush them with dominance. If one acted cooler, better, than the other, then there was basis for business.

It almost felt like roasting chestnuts while one was in the fire. But no gain without risk.

To do business, sometimes borrowing power was important.

After leaving the room, Jasper suddenly asked. “What do you think?”

Natalie considered it for a while. “Lecherous, but not stupid. He has secrets with the Tita people that outsiders don’t understand. That’s impressive.”

Jasper nodded, a glimmer of a smile on his face. The returns this time round could be unexpectedly high. He could also prove himself to the family, especially to those in the business opposed to him, and those stodgy old men.

The next day, Jasper had already changed into hunting gear, and Natalie had also taken off her professional clothes. She wore a tight-fitting hunting suit that accented her good figure to mouth-watering levels that left Tyrant Su drooling. He briefly considered changing his goal from dominating the universe to dominating girls.

Jasper was very friendly to Yan Xiaosu, calling him brother. But Natalie purposely kept her distance.

They drove a traditional racing car that the hotel had prepared, to enjoy the original feel of speed.

On the way, Jasper worked his verbal magic. It had to be said that this guy was practiced. They knew that he was purposely trying to be close, but was nevertheless hard to hate. Clearly, this guy was someone of status as well.

When they arrived, 5 others were already waiting. The guys were all about 20 plus, and even the oldest looking was at most 30. Each had brought babes with them, and making out as though no one else was watching. And behind each of them were 2 mecha. Clearly they were Jasper’s.

This zone had been specially designated as a hunting zone by Tita Star. This was not new, established a long time ago by the Lan family. The original intention had been to attract foreign investment, such as tourist dollars. Before the super-gravity energy ore’s discovery, Tita Star’s only attraction was the unique natural resources, and this hunting zone had been the product of their surveys of the investors. But now they had no need of these things, although the activity remained. It gave some face to the early financial groups, and was also beneficial to Tita Star. They could not only depend on the energy ore, otherwise they would turn into a mining planet. That was not desirable.

Tita Star’s development goal was of course to develop the planet, using the energy ore as bait. And the financial groups were using developments as bait, to achieve their goal of attaining the ore. This was a game, and it remained to be seen who would emerge victorious.

“Jasper, what are you playing at? You’re late. Haha, big-boobed girl, we haven’t met for just a few days, and you seem to have filled out even more.” A 20-something guy with an ear-stud said as he whistled.

Their cars were bullet-proof and especially sturdy. But Tita Star’s beasts’ attack power was nothing normal. That was why each person prepared 2 mecha. One for hunting, one for defense. The mecha could not bring explosive weapons, but only cold weapons. At the same time, the hunting zone prey’s information were illustrated in a handbook for the hunters to refer to.

“Pila, less nonsense from you. Don’t be sniffling in a while when you lose.”

“F*ck off. When you lose, Big-boob is mine!” Pila said without shame.

Yan Xiaosu was beginning to understand their amusements. It was shameless… but he wanted her as well.

“Eh, who’s this guy? You brought a lackey?” Pila laughed. A few others were looking curiously at Yan Xiaosu as well. Such amusements were close-circle affairs, and no one brought strangers.

“Brothers mine, let me introduce you. Yan Xiaosu, from the Little Lucky Star company of Earth. My new friend. He’s free as well, so I brought him out for some exercise. Besides, the more the merrier.” Jasper said.

Yan Xiaosu did not acknowledge them. His eyes were roving on the girls draped over them. Actually, he understood that saying anything here would only invite them to look down upon him. To these spoiled brats, the best way was to ignore them.

As expected, Yan Xiaosu’s indifference made them a little more respectful. “Oh. Jasper, you should have told us if you were bringing a new friend.”

A tall and handsome guy said. Since Jasper said he was a friend, and had brought him here, it must be no usual person. But this alone was definitely not enough.

“Gabre, Maacah Republic’s CK Group, Pila, Caragal Republic’s Lonk Group…”

Jasper introduced the other 5. Each was a member of a famous financial group’s family, 3rd generation and such. When the family grew to a certain size, it was no longer a single successor. Normally there were some clan dynamics, but these people were clearly at the heart of it.

“Since he’s here to play, why didn’t he prepare anything? Unless we’re playing, and he’s watching?” Gabre said, testing. He even fondled the babe at his side.

From Earth… D*mn, one look and they could tell he was a bumpkin. Was Jasper sick in the brain, or was he just trying to disgust them? But all of them were elites. They would get to the bottom of this. After all, he had been brought by Jasper.

Jasper slapped his forehead lightly. “You see, Brother Yan? This memory of mine. I completely forgot about it.”

“It’s fine. I’m not too interested in these things.” He only had eyes for the girls.

At this moment, a few others had caught on to Jasper’s meaning. Jasper was on to something, and testing this person.

“Brothers, it’s a small matter. Just call your company and get 2 mecha over and it’ll be fine. Otherwise, it will inconvenience everybody.” Gabre smiled. His meaning was clear. If you could not even settle this small thing, how could you stand on their level.

Jasper put on a troubled face. “This was my oversight. Or, I could lend you one first?”

“Jasper, that’s nothing to play around with. Safety first, unless you’re tired of living? This is meaningless, let’s go back.” They had disdainful expressions.

Jasper shrugged irritably. “Brother Yan, your opinion.”

Yan Xiaosu collected back his eyes from the beauties. “Not much of an issue. Go prepare. I’ll take care of it.”

“Haha, good! Then we’ll go ahead to prepare.”

They parked their mecha outside, and entered the great hall to finish the proceedings, and to procure some equipment.

Yan Xiaosu rubbed his nose. D*mn, he had simply played for time. If his act failed, things could turn sour real quick.

The only way was to contact Lan Ling, to see if she could help him out of this mess. Yan Xiaosu was not really here to play, but had simply smelled the opportunity. But although this bunch of guys had a superior attitude, they knew what they were doing. Jasper was playing him, and not the other way round.

“Lan Ling, so sorry to bother you. But there’s something I have to bother you about. I wonder if it’s convenient.” Yan Xiaosu did not hesitate. At least, based on his relationship with Wang Zheng, he asked directly.

Lan Ling was surprised, but nodded. “That’s nothing. I’ll send a couple of people over from my bodyguard contingent.”

At this moment a huge voice rang out. Rara Durai was present.

Rara Durai had some impression of Yan Xiaosu. They had met previously. He was familiar with Ye Zisu, and this fatty must be Ada’s other friend.

“Lan Ling, let me go. I wanted to stretch my legs, anyway,” Rara Durai said.
