Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1687: “Hehe~Finally~Come on, My Child~ Show them… what it means to be The Real Devil!”

[Reader discretion advised]

“No! Kill him with your hands… With your bare fucking hands. Grab his neck and… snap it clean.”

“A painless death~Hehe~”

The voice slammed against his mind.

“…”

Young Aether’s hands trembled violently.

*No, I cannot… t-this– I can’t do this to a child!*

“What? You are ready to take your enemies’ lives without hesitation and save yourself from anyone, and yet… when it comes to taking the life of this suffering child with your own bare hands, you step back? You shameless cunt!”

Young Aether bit his trembling lips.

“You need to understand that what you’re doing is truly best for him…

Saving his life by ending it…

So take it with your hands and feel every second of how it goes.

Don’t be a fucking cunt! Do it already!!”

“DO IT.”

“DO IT.”

“DO IT.”

The voice hammered inside his mind again and again, echoing louder in his skull, relentless and merciless, as if its only goal was to break him completely and force him to do it.

Clang…

The sword in his hand disappeared into thin air. Slowly, with violently shaking hands, he moved toward the child’s fragile neck. His heart screamed at him to stop, to pull back before he became something monstrous and irredeemable.

Yet, looking into the child’s one remaining eye… that desperate, broken plea for death.

Young Aether gritted his teeth hard enough to taste blood. He clenched the child’s thin, trembling neck with his bare hands and,

“ARRRRRHHHHHH!!!”

No, not the child. It was Young Aether who let out the gut-wrenching scream, tearing from the depths of his soul.

Every instinct screamed at him to stop.

The child didn’t resist.

It simply closed its eye.

Accepting it.

Trusting him.

That trust hurt more than anything.

Drip…

Blood tears flowed from his right eye!

Just as his fingers were about to snap the fragile neck,

!~Din–Error!

A sudden sharp bell rang out and an abrupt cut, but it was enough… enough for yanking Young Aether’s shattered senses back to reality.

Before he fully realised what he was doing, he shoved the child away and ran desperately, bolting without turning back even once.

“K-Kill… me…” The child muttered in a weak, painful voice as it watched Young Aether flee into the darkness.

Each word felt like a knife driving itself into his spine.

“Huff… Huff… Huff…”

Young Aether leaned heavily against a wall after stumbling back into the corridor. His chest rose and fell violently while sweat soaked his clothes. His ice-blue eyes slowly returned to normal as the darkness lurking within them receded.

*I need to leave this place first… I… I can’t take any more of this nightmare…*

His thoughts were a complete mess.

As he stepped forward to escape, the dark voice cut through his thoughts again.

“So that’s it?”

The dark voice returned with a sly and disappointed tone.

Young Aether froze.

“You couldn’t save the child.”

“…”

“You couldn’t kill the child.”

“…”

“So you ran away like the spineless coward you are.”

Young Aether clenched his fists.

The dark voice laughed.

“Lucky for you, there might still be somebody you can actually save.”

His eyes narrowed.

“The fish.”

Young Aether immediately remembered the aquatic man from earlier.

“If you’re planning on abandoning him too, then congratulations. You’ve officially become a complete piece of shit who is only useful when he has powers”

*Shut up…*

“He might still be alive.”

*Shut the fuck up!!*

“And every second you’re standing here whining increases the chance he’ll end up in that corpse pile.”

Young Aether’s teeth ground together.

“So cruel, man. First, the child. Now the fish. You really are collecting failures today. Is that why your mommy left you?

Hehe… Poor Mommy knew her son was not even capable of protecting her, so she went for a REAL MAN~

No, some fucking coward loser… Good for her!

Guess that bitch did the right thing… abandoning you when it mattered the most… hahahahaahah!!!!~”

“I… I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!” Young Aether barked with a furious tone, his body violently trembling.

Yet,

“Indeed… You are fucking defective product till the end! Hehehehe~ HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE~”

The dark voice laughed so hard that it felt like striking his skull like a hammer upon an anvil.

“…”

Young Aether’s eyes turned bloodshot as he gritted his teeth, his jaw aching from the pressure. He turned back with wobbling legs that felt as if they had lost every last drop of strength, each step heavy with self-loathing and dread.

He returned to the junction where the corridor split into two pathways.

Standing there, he stared toward the right passage.

“Move your fucking ass before they kill him and turn him into another pile of garbage… Well, if that’s what you want, then keep standing there like a defective idiot. Hehe~”

Young Aether’s face twisted into a grimace of pure pain and conflict, yet he forced himself to step into the right side.

He needed to save that person before it was too late… before they turned him into a dead corpse or, worse, some kind of twisted experimental monster.

Step.

Step..

Step…

Step…

He slowly dragged his exhausted body down the right pathway.

The corridor eventually opened into a large underground maintenance platform.

Rows of transport containers lined the facility.

Heavy-duty cages.

Energy restraints.

Shock cuffs.

Containment pods.

Everything designed to transport and control the various species displayed throughout the Zoo.

Young Aether silently observed the scene.

“Sigh… seriously, how many times do we have to clean these containers?” A staff member complained while spraying disinfectant across one of the transport units.

“These bastards can’t even clean up after themselves.”

“Stop complaining and finish your shift.”

Young Aether immediately moved behind a stack of cargo crates.

Peeking around the corner, he located the source of the voices.

Two workers stood beside a containment unit.

Nearby, the aquatic man lay cuffed and motionless on the ground.

His eyes stared blankly toward the ceiling.

Gone was the cheerful smile he had shown the visitors earlier.

Gone was the friendly wave.

He looked completely different… Like a lifeless shell.

One staff frowned.

“Oi. Did that fucker die?”

“Dunno.”

“Go check.”

“Fine.”

The second member lazily walked toward the restrained aquatic man.

Without even kneeling down, he drove his boot into the captive’s stomach.

Thud.

“Arrgh…”

A pained groan escaped the aquatic man’s mouth.

“Looks like he’s still alive.” The staff member chuckled before kicking the aquatic man again.

“Tsk.”

The other worker clicked his tongue in annoyance, almost as though death would have been more convenient.

He stopped cleaning the container and walked toward the aquatic man with a grin spreading across his face.

“Isn’t it time for his reward?”

The other staff member nodded.

“Since he obediently smiled for the visitors today, I think he deserves a proper reward.”

“Hahah~”

Both of them chuckled wickedly.

Young Aether frowned from his hiding spot, a cold wave of disgust twisting in his gut. ‘Are they going to beat him?’ He clenched his fist as he summoned the sword in his hand, and as he was about to move, when,

“Wait! What if they… are really rewarding him? A reward in this world… Might be useful, right? Hehe~”

Young Aether halted and frowned for a second before deciding to watch what kind of reward it was.

After all, Selene once hurt him and hated him in order to protect him… so…

His mind more or less came up with reasons to halt himself!

The first staff member placed his boot against the aquatic man’s mouth.

Instantly, as though he already understood what was expected of him… as if the aquatic man had been conditioned through countless repetitions, he rose with his lifeless eyes and opened his mouth wide despite his bruised and broken body.

His movements were mechanical, devoid of resistance.

“…”

Young Aether’s eyes slowly froze in pure horror as he watched the two staff members lower their zippers, pull out their cocks, and…

Pssssss….

Splash…

They peed directly into the aquatic man’s open mouth. The yellow liquid splashed violently across his lips, streamed down his chin in thick rivulets, and flowed across his chest, mixing with old bruises.

The acrid smell drifted through the air.

“Man… this feels so good,” one groaned in twisted pleasure.

“Yeah… these fuckers deserve to be our personal toilets… ahahah.”

“Hahahaha!”

“AHAHAHA!”

They laughed manically while continuing to pee into the man’s mouth. Yet the aquatic man did not reject or speak a single word. He simply knelt there and drank the foul liquid as if it were pure water, his gills fluttering weakly in silent submission. The complete brokenness in those dead eyes shattered something inside Young Aether.

These were living beings reduced to nothing… objects for entertainment and relief.

Young Aether stood there motionlessly as the cruel laughter of those men echoed inside his mind again and again, each repetition slicing deeper into his sanity.

“Haha…”

“Hahaha.”

“HHAHAHAHA.”

“HAHAHAHAHAH.”

The sound repeated within his mind like a broken recording.

Each laugh seemed louder and more distorted than the last.

Until a single blood tear flowed from his left eye and…

Snap…

Like a fragile thread that had been holding back every ounce of rationality and restraint, it finally splintered apart with each cord.

His ice blue eyes cracked completely and…

Blop~

A blackness like a dark, corrosive mist seeped from those irises, slowly swallowing the remaining traces of blue.

It spread across the entire eye, consuming everything in its path.

The sclera vanished beneath the darkness.

Even breaking his illusion… his another Reality illusion as if… everything got affected!!

Within moments, nothing remained except a pair of abyssal black eyes staring silently into the scene before him.

“Hehe~Finally~Come on, My Child~ Show them… WHO IS THE REAL DEVIL!!”
