Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 785: Drakhairs... is not just a side character!

BOOOMM!!

SsssshhhhhHHH!!!

ROARRRR!!!

A monstrous explosion of purple flames erupted, devouring everything in its path, while an unstoppable tsunami of water crashed down, quenching the fire in an endless, violent clash of elements.

It was as if the very forces of nature had turned against each other, neither willing to submit!!

The water vapour thickened, engulfing the battlefield in a dense, ghostly mist.

But neither Raven nor Sandra paid it any mind.

They had no time for the devastation surrounding them—they were too focused on the battle, fighting with everything they had, their attacks shaking the very ground beneath them.

”Youʼre too damn slow!” Raven sneered before vanishing in a flash of violet light. In an instant, she reappeared right behind Sandra, her sword gleaming with an eerie glow, ready to slice through her opponentʼs flesh.

CLANG!!

Sandra had already anticipated the attack. Her water-forged knife met Ravenʼs blade with a sharp, ringing impact, blocking the strike at the last second.

Raven gritted her teeth. No matter how fast she was, Sandra always managed to keep up. It was infuriating.

”Heh...” Sandra let out an amused chuckle, her lips curling into a taunting smile. ”That all you got?”

She twisted her wrist, pushing Ravenʼs blade aside, and in the same motion, she thrust her other hand forward, her fingers sculpting a new water blade in an instant. It shot toward Ravenʼs chest like a spear.

.... But Raven was faster.

She dodged with a sharp twist, her body moving like lightning, barely escaping the deadly thrust. The blade whizzed past her, slicing through the air with a... hissssss!

Sandraʼs eyes flickered with brief surprise, but she didnʼt falter. Instead, the water around her responded, swirling faster, vibrating with an intense hum. She bent low, letting the liquid beneath her feet carry her across the battlefield like a phantom gliding over ice.

She wasnʼt running—she was flowing!!

Raven clicked her tongue in irritation. ”Tch… Show-off.”

Tang!

Chuckk!

Tang~Ting!

Chuccckkk!

Each strike was met with another. Water Sparks flew as metal clashed with liquid, their weapons dancing in a deadly rhythm.

The earth trembled beneath their relentless attacks, the once serene landscape now nothing more than a battlefield of destruction.

Then, suddenly—

Sllccckkk!!

A sharp pain shot through Sandraʼs body. She gasped, eyes widening as she felt the warm trickle of blood on her abdomen.

Ravenʼs lips curled into a wicked grin. ”Finally,” she purred, her blade dripping crimson.

Sandra let out a low chuckle, wiping the blood with the back of her hand. ”Not bad… Not bad at all.” She lifted her gaze, her misty purple eyes flashing with something darker, something primal, ”But donʼt forget…”

She raised her hand and—

Snap.

The sky turned black.

Within seconds, rain poured down like a flood.

Ravenʼs expression darkened.... This was her territory, and yet—

Just about to stop the rains when,

Chucckk!

Pain exploded through her shoulder. Her body jerked violently, and she barely had time to register what had happened before she looked up—

Those werenʼt raindrops.

They were knives!

Sharp Rain Knives!!

Countless razor-sharp blades, formed from the rain itself, were falling from above, slicing through the air.

”Fuck!” Raven growled, forcing her body to move. She twisted, slithered, and dodged, her movements fluid but frantic. The rain was turning into a death trap, forcing her on the defensive.

Sandra watched with a smirk. ”Fast, arenʼt you?” she mused, crossing her arms. ”But not fast enough.”

She lunged forward, matching Ravenʼs speed step for step. Every time Raven dodged a blade, Sandra was already there, forcing her into a tighter corner.

Tang!

Raven barely blocked Sandraʼs attack, but she couldnʼt focus on it for long. More knives were falling!

”Arghh!” she groaned as she narrowly avoided another strike,

ʼWhy?! Why?! WHY?!ʼ

Raven screamed in her mind. This was supposed to be her advantage! She was the fastest. She was the predator. And yet—

She was being pushed back.

Just then... She remembered.

Her sister once told her why people respected and feared Sandra.

It wasnʼt because she killed Chosen Ones.

No, it was because she could stand on equal ground with them—without a blessing from the gods!!

What else do you need then?

Sandra wasnʼt just strong... She was fighting with her life as she grew.

Yes, this woman... She was growing!

With every second that passed, she was adapting. Evolving. She wasnʼt fighting with raw power alone—she was learning from Ravenʼs every move, every speed burst, every attack.

That was what made her terrifying.

That was why people feared and respected Marisandra.

Raven clenched her fists. ”Tsk.”

”So what?!” she snarled. ”I can grow too!”

She stopped moving.

Sandra frowned for a brief moment.

And then—

Raven inhaled deeply. Her chest rose, her lungs expanding and... nothing?

Sandraʼs eyes narrowed.

”???”

She was expecting an attack—but nothing happened.

And then, suddenly—

She felt it!

A wave of heat.

Searing... Suffocating.... Overwhelming!!

Sandraʼs skin prickled. Sweat beaded on her forehead.

Her eyes widened as she looked up—

The water knives that had been falling?

They were vanishing.

NO! They were... Evaporating before they even touched Raven.

A smirk stretched across Ravenʼs lips as she took a single step forward.

SSSSHHHHHHHH!!

The entire battlefield shook.

The ground beneath them blackened.

Then—

BOOOOOM!!!

A monstrous pillar of fire erupted from Ravenʼs foot, scorching the air, and turning everything around her into a sea of flames.... the cloudy sky disappeared!!

Sandraʼs expression darkened, her lips pressing into a firm line.

She could feel it—the overwhelming temperature rising in waves from Ravenʼs body. The sheer suffocating heat made the very air around them shimmer, distorting the battlefield like a mirage.

If she wasnʼt careful, this level of fire could pulverize her in an instant.

ʼJust what kind of monster did that rotten bastard fucked around?ʼ she thought bitterly, gritting her teeth. Even from a distance, her own body temperature was rising, sweat forming on her skin as the oppressive heat warped the space around them.

She exhaled slowly, steadying herself. ”Well… this isnʼt going to end well, I suppose.”

Meanwhile...

”As you can see, ladies and gentlemen… the tables have finally turned! The tides of battle shift once more!

Is this the dawn of a new era?

The rise of the mighty Draconyx?!

Their moment to shine!!!

But can the Mermaid hold her ground against the overwhelming territorial advantage of the Draconyx?.... OOOOrrrrrr will she pull off a MIRACULOUS comeback that will shake the very foundation of this battlefield?!

Well, if you want to know, youʼll just have to wait for the next chap—”

[…Someoneʼs forgetting their role, huh?😒]

Aetherʼs enthusiastic commentary was abruptly cut off as Log shot him a deadpan stare.

Aether coughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. ”Come on now... the fightʼs so damn good! I couldnʼt help but add some commentary.”

[....😤]

Aether sighed. ”Well...” His eyes landed on the hooded figure silently observing the battlefield. He couldnʼt just involve himself—doing so would cause a major problem for his plans.

[So... youʼre just going to stand here while your current wife and future wife try to kill each other?]

Aetherʼs lips twitched into a smirk,

”Why are you so worried? Itʼs not like theyʼll actually kill each oth—”

”FUCKING BITCH, IʼLL KILL YOU!!”

”IʼLL BURN YOU TO ASHES, BITCH!!”

The furious voices of two very pissed-off women roared across the battlefield, dripping with sheer, unfiltered murder.

Aether blinked,

”Well… itʼs not like theyʼll literally do it—”

BOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!

SSSSSSHHHHHHHHH!!!

”....” Aether froze mid-sentence as a massive explosion of fire and water erupted below, a catastrophic collision of elements sending shockwaves across the battlefield..... His expression slowly morphed from amused to horrified.

ʼOh my god!ʼ he screamed internally.

He barely had time to process what was happening before another thought struck him, ʼWait! Why the hell is that bastard taking so lo—ʼ

Before he could finish that thought, the sky darkened.

Not naturally.

Something was blocking the sun-less light.

Everyone flinched, an eerie silence gripping them as their gazes instinctively lifted toward the sky.

And then, they saw it...

A monstrous, humongous brown dragon loomed above them, its wings spread wide like an endless shadow of doom, blotting out the sky itself. Its sheer size was incomprehensible—larger than the strongest dragon Emperor, its wingspan stretching across the battlefield, casting an oppressive, suffocating presence below.

Every beat of its wings sent violent gusts of wind crashing against the ground, tearing up debris and rattling bones.

The beastʼs scales were a deep, earthen brown, but they werenʼt smooth—they were jagged, like layers of armoured stone, each one lined with scars of past battles, hinting at an age far beyond anyoneʼs understanding.

Its body radiated an aura of overwhelming heat as if it carried the molten core of the earth within its very bones.

Then there were its eyes.

Huge, brown slits that gleamed like molten metal, cold yet burning with intelligence.

There was no mercy in those eyes—only the quiet patience of a being that had existed long enough to know nothing could ever truly challenge it.

The first hooded figure, who had been silently watching the battle, finally spoke, ”Drakhairs…”

The dragonʼs head tilted slightly, its piercing gaze sweeping across the battlefield, studying, assessing, like a god peering down at insects. Its nostrils flared, inhaling the scent of magic, blood, and destruction.

Then, as if making its decision, the beastʼs gaze locked onto two figures—Sandra and Raven.

For a single, agonizing moment, time itself seemed to halt.

And then, the dragonʼs massive jaws opened.

Rows upon rows of razor-sharp fangs, each the size of a greatsword, gleamed under the dim light. Its throat, a deep abyss, rumbled as it prepared to unleash devastation.

Sssssssnnnnnnnnnnngggggg!

A deep, guttural sound rumbled through the air, vibrating through the ground. The sheer force of the sound alone sent smaller creatures fleeing in terror!

”FUCK!!!”

Both Sandra and Raven screamed in unison, their survival instincts overriding their rivalry/Jealousy as they clung to each other in pure, unfiltered horror.

And then—

BBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

It was at that moment... Aether knew... Drakhairs... was not just a side character that many forget!
