Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 756: [Bonus (っ˘ڡ˘ς) 100 GT] Chosen among the Chosen ones!

While walking back to his room, Aether grinned with satisfaction after finally getting some kind of reaction from Xara.... it was really worth though he wasn’t sure what part got her that kind of reaction... because he said whatever came into his mind without thinking... his usual Rizz ability!

However, something still felt off.

’Why hasn’t she given me any affection points?’ Aether wondered.

It had already been a day since the mission appeared, and yet she hadn’t given him a single point. According to the mission rules, shouldn’t he have already failed by now? He needed 10 affection points to pass a day, but not even one had been registered and... the mission had not failed yet!

’Is she similar to Celestia?’ Aether pondered, frowning as he glanced his log. He hoped for an answer, but instead, his log gave him a rather cryptic response.

[Life is full of mysteries]

Aether deadpanned. ’Are you fucking serious right now, Log?’

[You damn right I am!!😤]

Aether sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, ”Come on, it’s not playtime. I’m being serious here—why hasn’t she given me any affection points yet?”

[Sigh… Because she already has.]

”Huh?”

[It’s not as simple as you think... The Affection Points are really someth---]

Before it could finish, the log was abruptly cut off.

’Log?’ Aether frowned.

[Error! No available data for the user’s question!]

Aether raised a brow, his confusion deepening. His log was an enigma—it sometimes acted like an advanced AI, sometimes like an overly dramatic human, and sometimes... well, like whatever this nonsense was.

’So, Affection Points are something more than they appear to be?’ Aether thought, rubbing his forehead. He was sure Log had almost let something slip.

’And what the hell does it mean that Xara already gave it to me?’ His frown deepened as his mind raced for answers. Just then, his attention was drawn to two figures standing in the garden below.

Lowering himself into a crouch, Aether carefully peeked over the corner. His sharp eyes quickly identified them—Leon and Kai. They seemed to be engaged in a serious conversation.

Aether’s lips curled into a mischievous smirk, ’Heh, looks like it’s time to test the waters~’ A devilish glint flashed in his eyes before his figure silently vanished into the shadows.

Meanwhile, in the garden…

”I still can’t believe your mother actually wanted a slave as her son,” Leon said, shaking his head in disbelief after hearing Kai’s story. His voice was laced with both shock and sympathy.

Kai exhaled heavily, crossing his arms. ”Yeah, well, neither can I,” he muttered, glancing up at the night sky.

Leon could only sigh. He pitied Kai—it was an absurd and cruel situation to be put in.

After a moment of silence, Kai mumbled, ”Maybe I should call Vesperine… She might have a better idea of what to do.” His gaze lingered on the stars as if searching for answers.

Like two friends sharing secrets under the veil of the night, they stood there, bound by unspoken understanding.

Leon nodded in agreement. ”That might be a good idea. Vesperine’s sharp—she could help you figure a way out of this mess.” He patted Kai’s shoulder with a reassuring grip. ”Don’t worry, my friend. No matter what happens, I’ll always have your back.”

Kai’s eyes softened, glistening slightly, ”I’m really grateful to have you as my friend, Leon.” His voice carried the weight of his emotions.

Leon gave him a firm nod before they pulled each other into a tight hug, an unbreakable bond solidified between them.... Something was rising~

However, the moment was suddenly shattered.

The air around them dropped in temperature, turning unnaturally cold. A thick mist slithered in, surrounding them!!

Both Leon and Kai instantly tensed, their instincts screaming at them.

They quickly jumped apart, standing back-to-back in a defensive stance. The mist grew denser, obscuring their surroundings.

”W-What the hell is going on here?” Leon muttered, his body rigid with caution.

”Are we under attack?” Kai whispered, his hand hovering over the hilt of his weapon.

They were just about to summon their weapons when—

”My children”

A soft yet commanding ethereal voice echoed through the thick fog, sending a chill down their spines.

Leon and Kai flinched, their eyes darting around, trying to locate the source of the voice. But nothing—no one—was there.

”Who are you?” Kai demanded his voice firm despite the unease creeping up his spine.

”Who am I?… Ah, my child, has time made you forget me so easily?” The ethereal voice whispered again, laced with both sadness and amusement.

Kai and Leon both frowned in confusion. But then, realization dawned on Leon’s face. His eyes widened in shock as he stammered, ”M-Mother Goddess?”

A chuckle resonated through the mist before the voice answered, ”Indeed, my child.”

Then, the mist parted slightly—just enough to reveal a colossal presence.

A humongous pure white snake slithered forward, its elegant body shimmering in the moonless light. Embedded in the centre of its forehead was a massive, radiant crystal that shimmered in all the colours of the rainbow.

Leon and Kai felt their blood run cold.... They couldn’t move!

They couldn’t breathe!!

A Rainbow Arcane Monster?!

They had never encountered such a being before.

Kai’s voice came out in a shaky whisper. ”A-Are you seeing what I’m seeing?”

Leon didn’t even have time to speak. He only nodded furiously, gulping as his ultra-dragon instincts screamed at him to do one thing—

Run!

Run as fast as possible!!

”Doesn’t it look like Vict--” Before Kai could say anything,

”There is no need to be tense, my child,” the snake spoke in an ethereal tone, its voice carrying a deep, calming resonance.

Both Kai and Leon flinched once more, their bodies stiffening. A monster speaking directly to them? This was beyond unnatural—it was utterly disastrous!

Their minds struggled to comprehend what was happening, but fear gripped them too tightly.

”Was my form too overwhelming?” the snake asked innocently, tilting its head in a strangely human-like gesture. Without waiting for an answer, its massive body began to shrink, the air around it shimmering like rippling water. In mere moments, it had reduced itself to the size of a regular snake, its presence far less intimidating. ”Now… are you calm?”

Kai and Leon exchanged wary glances, their breaths still uneven. Though the suffocating pressure had slightly lifted, their instincts screamed at them to remain on guard.

Leon hesitated before stepping forward, his legs feeling unnaturally heavy. He swallowed down his nerves before mustering the courage to speak. ”A-Are you really the Mother Goddess?” he asked, his voice laced with uncertainty and hesitation.

The snake stared at him for a moment before slowly nodding. ”Hmm… Can you not tell by my crystal?”

Kai and Leon’s gazes shifted toward the radiant, rainbow-colored gem embedded in the snake’s forehead. A deep sense of reverence and unease filled them as they stared at its mesmerizing glow. A strange warmth radiated from it, washing over them like an invisible force.

Even so, Kai furrowed his brows, doubt still lingering in his expression. Something about this whole situation felt unreal, ”Even so… that still doesn’t prove that you are the actual Mother Goddess,” he muttered, his fingers tightening into fists.

The snake simply smiled. Then, without warning—

Its entire body began to glow, radiating an otherworldly brilliance that made the surroundings blur. The air crackled with energy, the atmosphere growing heavier.

Outside the smoke-filled garden, Aether stood with a wicked grin, watching his masterpiece unfold.

”A1 and A2, more smoke!” he commanded. His clones immediately fanned the mist, thickening the dramatic illusion. Meanwhile, he channeled his Clarion energy behind Snowflake’s body, amplifying the visual effects even further.... Like Lightman behind the cameraman!

The way the shimmering light mixed with the thick fog created a scene straight out of a divine revelation.

Aether smirked, eyes glinting with amusement. ”How’s that, idiots?” he muttered under his breath, thoroughly enjoying himself. The illusion was flawless—it mimicked the presence of the real Mother Goddess perfectly.

And,

”OH, MOTHER!!” Leon suddenly dropped to his knees, his voice filled with reverence and overwhelming devotion.

Kai, still taken aback, stared in shock before managing to whisper, ”W-Why… Why are you here?” His heart pounded violently in his chest.

”Because I felt my children suffering through hardships,” the snake responded, its shimmering eyes locking onto Kai.

Kai’s breath hitched. His eyes widened in sheer horror as realization struck him like a bolt of lightning. ”Y-You mean—”

”Yes, my child… I have seen everything,” the snake declared with solemn finality.

A shudder ran through Kai’s body, his legs giving out beneath him. He collapsed to his knees beside the snake, his emotions crashing over him like a tidal wave. His heart clenched painfully, and tears welled up in his eyes as he gritted his teeth, unable to contain the emotions swirling inside him.

”I… I know I’m not the chosen one,” he whispered, his voice breaking. ”I’m just a fake… But even so, I worked so hard—I pushed myself beyond my limits! Not to be some disposable slave… I-I…” His voice trembled as raw emotion poured out, his chest rising and falling in uneven breaths.

The snake gazed at him with an almost motherly warmth. ”It’s fine, my child… It’s fine,” it murmured soothingly before continuing, ”I have seen your deed for long time... That is precisely why I have come—to give you something.”

Kai blinked through his tears, his breath hitching as he stared at the radiant serpent in disbelief. ”G-Give me something?”

”Yes…” The snake slowly moved its tail, revealing two glistening rainbow Arcane Crystals. They shimmered like divine relics, pulsing with an incomprehensible energy.

Kai’s breath caught in his throat, and his hands trembled slightly. ”M-Mother? What… What are these?”

The snake’s voice softened as it answered, ”Your future, my children.” It gazed at both of them with profound meaning,

”The power inside these crystals… is beyond what you can comprehend. Take them… Search for your destiny. Find your answers. And most importantly… find yourselves. This is the only favor I can grant to my children who are lost in confusion.”

Kai and Leon’s hands trembled as they stared at the divine gifts before them, their minds struggling to process the weight of those words.

”For… For both of us?” Leon’s voice barely came out as he tried to comprehend what was happening.

”Yes,” the snake confirmed. ”You two have endured the most… So I bestow this upon you. Be proud, my children, for I came only for you. You are the chosen among the chosen ones. Search for the Monsters that have same crystal as mine and defeat and grow beyond anyone!!!”

”OH, MOTHER!!”

”LONG LIVE MOTHER GODDESS!!”

Both Kai and Leon shouted in unison, their voices filled with overwhelming emotion as they slammed their foreheads against the ground in deep reverence... Their hearts pounded, and their entire bodies trembled with the weight of this divine moment.

The snake’s glowing form flickered as it spoke one final time, ”Good… Make me… proud…”

Its voice slowly faded into nothingness, like a whisper carried away by the wind.

The heavy mist cleared in an instant.

When Kai and Leon finally lifted their heads, they found themselves back in the quiet garden. The ethereal presence was gone.

No smoke.

No colossal snake.

Nothing but the stillness of the night.

Leon exhaled, his chest rising and falling as he tried to steady himself. ”Man… Was that really real?” His voice was laced with disbelief. His gaze then shifted downward, his breath catching.

The two rainbow Arcane Crystals still rested in front of them, radiating an undeniable energy.

His eyes widened before he turned to Kai, his voice barely above a whisper. ”Kai…”

Kai clenched his fists, his eyes locked onto the shimmering crystal in his hands. His heart burned with newfound determination, a fire igniting in his soul!!

”This is our chance, Leon… The Mother Goddess has given us her blessing. Now, it’s our time to shine!” His voice carried a conviction that hadn’t been there before.

Leon, feeling that same resolve, nodded furiously. ”Yes! Now we show the world who we truly are!”

Without hesitation, they each took their crystal and pressed them against their Arcane Cards, their hands trembling with excitement and anticipation.

CRACK!

The crystals shattered into rainbow-colored dust before merging into their cards, sending a pulse of overwhelming energy rippling through the air.

SSSHhhhhhhh!!

SSssHHHHhhhhh!!!

The entire garden burst into a dazzling display of rainbow light, illuminating the night like a celestial phenomenon, painting the dark sky with ethereal hues.

And in the shadows…

Two ice-blue eyes watched them with keen interest, a quiet amusement flickering within them.

”Heh… Heheheh…”
